If you're visiting Sunset Town, we recommend stopping here for some food. Both sides of the street are lined with vendors selling grilled meats, seafood, sausages, and fruit smoothies. There are also restaurants where you can enjoy a meal while enjoying the sea view and the sunset. In the center, there's a large open space where people perform shows like magic tricks and singing, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere for tourists. The market is clean and crowded. Weather in June: It rained quite often, sometimes with sudden showers. During the 11 days, it only rained on the evening of arrival, when transferring hotels, and when leaving Phu Quoc Island for the airport. Food: There is a wide variety of cuisines available, especially Korean food. Some cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, and seafood places even have Korean staff. Many restaurants were better and cleaner than expected. However, in the southern part of the island, there were more flies, even in high-end restaurants. "The food in the south might help those with constipation because it goes straight through you 🤣!" I preferred the restaurants in the northern part of the island, which offered more good options. My favorite restaurant in the central area was Saigonese Eatery. The central night market had many stalls but wasn’t very hygienic. Transportation: Grab taxis are widely available, and people often approach you to sell rides. It’s a good idea to download the Grab app to compare prices. In the north, there are free green Vinbuses (routes 17 and 19) that go to the airport, northern and central hotels, and other attractions like the zoo and VinWonders theme park. Activities: There are many shows to enjoy. In the north, Grand World offers a free water fountain show at 9:30 PM. In the south, there are fireworks at 9:30 PM, and the "Kiss of Sea" show at 9 PM (except on Tuesdays). There’s a theme park in both the north and south. However, the southern amusement park is still under construction and currently focuses on its water park. Accommodation and Itinerary: For the first few nights, I stayed in a southern apartment where I could watch the fireworks and part of the "Kiss of Sea" light show from the unit every evening. It was a 4-minute walk to the cable car station, which offers rides on the world’s longest oversea cable car to Hon Thom Nature Park and its water park. It was also within walking distance of the Kiss Bridge and Sunset Town. A 10-minute walk or a ride on a golf cart (around VND 10,000–15,000 per person) took me to the southern night market, Vui-fest Bazaar Phú Quốc, which I found to be the cleanest night market on the island. Island-hopping tours mostly depart from the south and include local tour pickups. The Phu Quoc Prison Museum is also located in the south. However, Ice Jungle is only suitable for kids and was quite boring. For the next three nights, I stayed in the north near Grand World. The area was lively with music every night, and some hotels played music even after 10 PM. The VinWonders theme park had most of its rides open until 6 PM, while some attractions in Fantasy World closed at 4:30 or 5 PM, and the water park closed at 4:30 PM. It’s best to arrive early to secure a good spot for the 6:45 PM closing show (highly recommended!). By 6 PM, the seats were already full. The zoo offered both daytime and nighttime experiences. In the central area, I stayed at a resort. This area was bustling with local vendors, massage parlors, and night markets. I also visited King Kong Mart and Long Beach Center for shopping and relaxed at the resort.

Phu Quoc has recently become a super popular destination for family trips! I also visited with my family~~ At that time, we discovered a restaurant that wasn't well-known among Koreans! It's the jungle restaurant located at the entrance of Movenpick Phu Quoc~~ The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is amazing! My family made it a point to visit this restaurant at least once a day, haha. Every time we went, we were the only Koreans there, so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. If you're visiting Phu Quoc, I highly recommend having a meal here at least once~~
