All Moments About Las Palmas
Las Palmas
Las Palmas is a capital of Gran Canaria, one of Spain's Canary Islands off northwestern Africa. A major cruise-ship port, the city is known for duty-free shopping and for its sandy beaches. At Playa de Las Canteras, a coral barrier lines the beach and shelters swimmers. The annual Las Palmas de Gran Canaria carnival brings together flamboyantly costumed performers, music and dancing.

It belongs to Spain in terms of territory and faces the African continent across the sea geographically.
Sanmao and Jose moved from the Sahara Desert to Gran Canaria on the other side.
Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, the sunshine and beaches are so charming after a week. No wonder so many Nordic people like to spend the winter here.

▪️Sanmao's Former Residence📍C.lope de Vega 3,35214 playa del Homebre

Hotel Santa Catalina, a Royal Hideaway, Gran Canaria
#cruiseholiday
"We booked Hotel Santa Catalina for a pre-cruise stay in Las Palmas, and it was fantastic! This historic hotel offers stunning architecture, lush gardens, and a relaxing atmosphere. Our room was elegant and spacious, with a private balcony overlooking the beautiful pool area. The location was perfect—close to the beach and just a short taxi ride to the cruise port. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, featuring fresh fruit, pastries, and local delicacies. The service was impeccable, making us feel like VIPs before our cruise. We’ll definitely stay here again for our next Canary Islands cruise!"

Las Palmas Attractions Recommendations
▶️The whole island is very similar to Hainan, with Las Palmas in the north and Maspalomas in the south. The north is like Haikou, with a strong atmosphere of life. The south is like Sanya, with large areas of resorts.
🚄Transportation: Public transportation is convenient, credit cards are accepted, and the price varies from 1 to 5 euros depending on the distance
🛄There are not many attractions, suitable for leisure and vacation, and the price is very friendly compared to continental Europe
❇️📍Address: Las Palmas
🗓️Itinerary:
1️⃣ Cathedral
💰Per capita consumption: Student ticket 4 euros (no ID check), one of the main attractions. 💞Recommendation reason: The church is average, but the view on the second floor is very good, and you can see the sea and residential areas on both sides
2️⃣The square in front of the Plaza de Santa Ana church
3️⃣Columbus House
Specifically displays some stories of Columbus's voyage, including the history of this island, student tickets are 2 euros
4️⃣Canary Museum + some small attractions are nearby, you can visit together. There is a commercial street nearby, the prices are very friendly, short-sleeved shirts are only a few euros‼ ️
5️⃣ Las Canteras Beach + Haishi Aquarium #新年好去处2025
Take a bus north and walk along the long coast. There are various marine activities to choose from. There is also an aquarium, 27 euros per person
💞Reasons to Recommend:
It is a very laid back city, everything in close and you can bike, skate or take the bus anywhere. Las Canteras beach has good weather practically all year round and is big enough to not feel crowded. For an even more private place near the sea, I recommend going to El Confital and enjoying the journey there. Definitely worth it! Gastronomically there are many options to choose from but I'd recommend: papas arrugadas with mojo, gofio and frangollo (all vegan options) 🌱 #canarias #canarias #localguides #beach

Sunlit Las Palmas: A Feast of Food and Architecture
In the sunny days of Las Palmas, Spain, the festive atmosphere is particularly lively. The beach is crowded with people, and laughter and applause intertwine. The azure sea waves gently lap against the golden sands, while sailboats leisurely glide in the distance.
Local food stalls emit enticing aromas, especially the crispy Spanish tapas, which are irresistible. Whether it's seafood, ham, or fresh vegetables, every bite is full of rich flavors.
Don't forget to taste the local specialty drinks here, especially the refreshing Sangria and robust Spanish red wine. These drinks not only taste great but also perfectly complement the flavors of the food.
Walking through the city, the unique architectural style is astonishing. The colorful Canary Island-style buildings, paired with exquisite wooden balconies, exude a rich historical atmosphere. Elegant Baroque churches coexist harmoniously with modern architecture, forming a unique urban landscape. Especially the cathedral, with its magnificent exterior and intricate carvings, captivates visitors, as if telling the story of the city.
As the sun gradually sets, the entire city is enveloped in warm golden light, and the sea sparkles with shimmering waves. At this moment, the charm and culinary beauty of Las Palmas are truly mesmerizing.

Gran Canaria, Spain
Gran Canaria is an administrative region of Spain, bordering the African continent. The weather there is warm all year round. There are many small and large islands close to each other, but the one we went to was the big one. Most of the beaches there are black because they were formed from the remains of a volcanic eruption. The food there is delicious, the seafood is fresh and sweet. Activities include swimming in the sea, sunbathing, and climbing the mountain to see the view and see places where volcanoes have erupted. There are also dolphin watching cruises. You can buy a tour on the boat, which will provide food and drinks, and there is also a shopping area. The place we stayed was near Puerto Rico, and the atmosphere was like Pattaya Beach in our country. There were bars and restaurants along the beach. We were able to recharge our batteries. #Beachfront accommodation #Europe travel

Las Palmas
Las Palmas has a mainland-Spain feel, spiced up with an eclectic mix of other cultures, including African, Chinese and Indian, plus the presence of container-ship crews, and the flotsam and jetsam that tend to drift around port cities. It’s an intriguing place, with the sunny languor and energy you would normally associate with the Mediterranean or North Africa. The hooting taxis, bustling shopping districts, chatty bars and thriving port all give off the energy of this city, which is Spain’s ninth-largest. The Cathedral of Santa Ana is a Roman Catholic church located in Las Palmas, Canary Islands. The cathedral is the seat of the Diocese of the Canaries. It is situated within the Vegueta neighborhood, next to the Plaza Mayor of Santa Ana. The feast of the cathedral's dedication is celebrated annually on November 26. In the south there is a large bird park, Palmitos Park, as well as many beach resort communities. Resorts are concentrated in the central eastern part of the southern coast in the Maspalomas area, which includes the towns of San Agustín, Playa del Inglés and Meloneras. The capital city is Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Las Canteras beach, a protected area and diving zone, lies in the heart of the city. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is also known for its annual carnaval.
