I went to the newly opened S-Con Field Hokkaido in Kitahiroshima. There are so many things to do, so I'll introduce you to the free play area. You can play here without going inside. It's an F⭐︎play field. If you're close, this is a lot of fun. There are playground equipment in an area with lots of wood chips, so just walking around is fun. The playground equipment has a small park feel. I think it's for small children. But! There was a mini baseball field with artificial turf. Especially children who don't know the rules can enjoy it. The balls are plastic and don't hurt too much. It's for children, but adults played with them too. Took a 50 minutes bus ride from Sapporo Station to the Outlet Mall. The mall has about 180 stores and offers a wide range of famous brands and offers attractive deals too. In additional, there is further discounts depending on which store. Tourists can visit the information counter and present them your passport, to get the coupon discount. There is a store, Loco Farm Village which has a wide range of fresh produce and selling popular Hokkadio souvenirs. A new tourist attraction in Hokkaido. ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO is the home field of the professional baseball team Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. Get off at Kitahiroshima Station, the midpoint of the Airport Liner that connects Sapporo and New Chitose Airport. There are many direct buses from Kitahiroshima Station, and taxis are also waiting. It doesn't take that long to walk there, so it's recommended for those who have time and want to avoid the crowds. There are many shops open inside the stadium, including restaurants and hot spring facilities. Not everything around the stadium is open yet, and some construction work is still underway. It will be an even more fulfilling ballpark in the future😊 I spoke to the stadium guide staff and they said that on baseball game days, even if you don't have a seat ticket, you can enter the concourse and use restaurants and other facilities if you purchase an admission ticket. Japanese fruits are highly regarded worldwide for their quality and freshness. "Strawberries" are in season from winter to spring. We went in February. There were so many strawberries. The price was amazing. You could eat to your heart's content. The price was not expensive. When I ate in Thailand, it cost a thousand baht per tray. ESCON Field opened in 2023 as the home field of the Nippon-Ham Fighters. I heard that it is enjoyable not only for baseball fans but also for those who are not! It is a 20-minute walk from the nearest station, JR Kitahiroshima Station. It may seem a little far to walk, but on a nice day, it may be just right to walk there as a stroll. There is also a shuttle bus from Kitahiroshima Station to ESCON Field, so the shuttle bus is convenient for those with small children, the elderly, and those who don't want to get tired before watching a baseball game! When we arrived at ESCON Field, it was crowded with many people. Outside the stadium, there were playground equipment for children and a small artificial turf field where many children were playing. Nearby, there was a small pond with a lawn around it, and many people were lying down and relaxing. There are also popular bakeries, cafes, and general stores, so it was crowded even before the game started. It's finally time to enter ESCON Field! Minami Park is a fantastic cherry blossom spot for those who prefer a more local and less touristy atmosphere. The park is spacious, with wide lawns and a playground, making it a great place for families with children. During cherry blossom season, the park transforms into a peaceful pink oasis, with plenty of space to lay out a picnic blanket and relax under the trees. Since it’s not as well-known as places like Maizuru Park, it’s much easier to find a quiet spot here. The park is also home to the Fukuoka City Science Museum, so you can combine your hanami with an educational visit. There are walking paths where you can take a leisurely stroll while enjoying the cherry blossoms, and the gentle hills provide nice viewpoints. If you’re looking for a laid-back, crowd-free hanami spot with lots of open space, Minami Park is a perfect choice.
