Booked via travel agency in our hotel and going here will cost you 150 rmb that includes the transportation, lunch and insurance but if you want to see more---herdsmen, yurts, horse backriding, equestrian show you have to pay 660 rmb. But if you want just the show then that's only 280 rmb. Overall experience is not that great but amazing thing is that you get to experience their food---the milk with salt and other treats made of milk.

Ulan Lake is located in Alxa Left Banner, Inner Mongolia, China. After crossing the vast desert that seems to connect heaven and earth, but before losing your way due to signal loss, you'll discover a scorching-hot oasis surrounded by sand dunes. ☀️🏜️ 
In Mongolian, "Ulan" means "red."❤️ This salt lake releases a type of carotenoid🥕 pigment, and the higher the temperature, the more it releases. Therefore, under the sunshine☀️, the lake water appears vividly red♦️. The lake resembles blood, and white alkali flats spread like veins, shimmering in the sunlight. This is Ulan Lake, often referred to as the "heart of the Earth." 🫀🌊

🔖 In reality, Ulan Lake consists of two smaller lakes and one larger lake. When viewed from above, the smaller lakes form a heart shape. ❤️

🚗 Getting There: To reach Ulan Lake, you'll need to traverse the desert. It's recommended to hire a local professional driver; self-driving is not practical unless you have extensive desert driving experience. 🚙 
⚠️ The famous 'Heart of the Earth' at Ulan Lake is located next to the main lake. It's surrounded by reeds and mud, and tourists can't get close to it. You'll need a drone to view it from above. ✈️
◻️ While walking around Ulan Lake, be mindful of where you step🚶‍♀️, as it's easy to sink into the mud.

❣️ Among the Five Lakes, Ulan Lake, Sun Lake, and Swan Lake are recommended, so consider spending more time at these three places. Sun Lake is orange, and it's a great place for flying drones. The shore of Swan Lake is beautiful, with two crooked-neck trees perfect for photographs. 📷
❣️ Additionally, crossing the Five Lakes includes sand dune activities. Drivers navigate off-road vehicles up and down the dunes, and the excitement level is comparable to a small roller coaster. Traveling around China is a wonderful experience! You meet a great diversity of cultures, landscapes and amazing sightseeings! Just 6 hours by bus from Beijing and you will feel like on the other part of the world. Inner Mongolia meets tourists with its unique traditions and a lifestyle. People are very friendly. We had an opportunity to watch the show about Mongolian traditions. It was very interesting. In the late evening there was a show by the fire outside, on the field. Then we spent a night in yurts ⛺️. That was an interesting experience! Recommend it for people who are tired of the city life. #bucketlistreboot

Solo trekking through the Tengger Desert in Inner Mongolia. This was a surreal, unreaĺ, immensely difficult task but remains one of my proudest accomplishments to date Located in the far Northwest of China the Tengger Desert is a vast empty area of wilderness there is nothing around except for desolate sand. However this doesn't mean it's without charm. It's actually nice in it's own way. With a real sense of nature. Would you rather sleep inside a modern Yurt or camp in a desert? Why not do all of them? Ride a horse, ride a camel, stay in a yurt (with hot shower), camp in a desert, and experience a totally different side of China in Inner Mongolia! Inner Mongolia 内蒙古, Nèi Měnggǔ or in Mongolian: Öbür mongɣul, is a Mongol Autonomous Region in northern China, whereas Outer Mongolia is a separate country to the north of China. We visited the Xilamuren grassland, Kubuqi desert, and I extended the trip to stay overnight in Hohhot -a surprisingly VERY modern and thriving city (they have large malls and shared-scooter, not bike!) Be ready for some long bus ride during the trip, the area is huge! We were only visiting a tiny bit of Inner Mongolia, the birthplace of Genghis Khan. There are definitely a LOT more to see. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Tips: for best experience (with clear starry sky night during your desert camp), plan your trip when in non-rainy months! Oh, and get ready to be a cat during your camp in the desert. Just gotta say, it’s a giant litter-box, if you know what I meant. Getting There - take a flight to Hohhot and take a connecting bus ride to the grassland / desert area. Attractions - Mongolian Yurt, Mongolian horse ride, Desert camping, and lots of fun! Hotels - Hohhot has a lot of modern hotels, but obviously you’ll need to find those Yurt hotels. Food & Restaurants - Mongolian foods typically very meaty: lamb, beef, and its produce: milk, yogurt, cheese; and also hotpot! (warning: their milk tea is salty; need to ask for sweet version). Shopping - Traditional trinkets & souvenirs. The Ulan Hada Volcano Group, also known as the Liandanlu Volcano（Alchemy Furnace Volcano）, is located in Chahar Right Wing Banner, Ulan Qab City, Inner Mongolia. It is more than 400 kilometers from Beijing and has a total area of 65.9 square kilometers. I visited with a tour group. We opted to go by train. The train ride was roughly a little over 2 hours. We then took an additional 2 hour bus ride to the volcano. I was surprised as to how popular this site is. We were greeted with a long line of traffic and an alarming amount of visitors. When planning your trip to this site, pay keen attention to your itinerary to see what it allows. The walk to the top of the volcano is roughly 30 minutes, depending on your hiking skill set. I must warn you that the unofficial hiking trail is made of pebbles that make it really difficult to hike up without slipping a couple times… so hike at your own risk ⚠️ At the top of the volcano you’ll be greeted by a breathtaking view so it’s definitely worth the risk. if you’re a nature lover then this site is perfect for you! Feel free to walk around and explore this beautiful space. You can even mix things up a bit by ordering space suits that are available on site for rental (approximately 150-250 rmb). Inner Mongolia is definitely a worthwhile trip. I went during the Labor Day Holiday with a tour group called Joy Tours, so it was easy to get around.  We went to Xilamuren Glasslands and even though the grass was not as green (due to the season), it was still very beautiful and refreshing see so yurts sitting on an endless landscape, blue skies and animals grazing the fields. We were greeted by the Mongolians with a white bowl of white wine (Báijiǔ) which we had to take a sip, and treated to lunch. We watched an equestrian show performed by Mongolians, then later rode a horse (very slowly) on the grasslands. There was a show and bon fire in the evening at our yurt accommodation. One of my favorite moments was being greeted by the millions of stars, and ended up stargazing for the rest of the night. We also visited the Kubuqi Desert which was lovely but very windy, and didn't get a lot of time to experience it. My partner and I then missioned alone to Ordos, and visited the "Ghost City", as well as Genghis Khan Mausoleum. The "Ghost City", to me, did not feel like a ghost city but rather a city that has potential to thrive in the future. The Genghis Khan Mausoleum was absolutely beautiful and his name is clearly still being honored by many. It was very interesting to see how two cultures still co-existed in this area: Chinese and Mongolians, although majority of the population were Chinese. Both languages were used and displayed on every sign. Mongolian culture is very interesting: different, yet has similarities to other cultures. #tripaway Fantastic streets around the temple with a large number of stalls selling allsorts. Another street has a number of small cafe type shops. The temple was very very impressive and free. If you look at the Internet, the meaning of the word "Ordos" in Mongolian is mostly interpreted as "a place with many palaces", but there is no period in history where there are really many palaces. After deep communication with the locals, I found that the more reliable explanation may be the southern grassland. Erdos is located at the southern end of the desert, and its Mongolian pronunciation is similar to that of Ordosuo. - Perhaps this is the true origin of the word Erdos. D1: Kambash New District Kambash New District is a high-tech development zone located more than 30 kilometers southwest of Ordos, about half an hour drive from the airport. Geerle Ama This is the most distinctive Inner Mongolia restaurant. It is all in a variety of interior styles. Even the waiters are all Mongolians. D2: Ulan Mulun Lake Musical Fountain Kambash's Ulan Mulun Lake Musical Fountain is the world's largest musical fountain and the tallest fountain that can be sprayed to 209 meters. Genghis Khan Mausoleum Genghis Khan Mausoleum, the locals are called Chengling, the original Genghis Khan's crown, and the Dahlite has been guarding. The equestrian show equestrian show takes place at Nadam Square, southeast of the Genghis Khan Mausoleum. The Mongols are really a legendary horseback nation. This wonderful equestrian performance is really thrilling, and it is a sweat for them. The venue of the marriage show wedding show was performed in the big yurt of the Brakhot Hotel near Nadam Square. The Ordos wedding is very unique and the program can last for a few days.

Inner Mongolia Moerdaoyu National Forest Park is located in Hulunbeier City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, covering an area of 148,324 hectares. It is adjacent to the Hulunbuir Prairie in the south and the Ergunajiehe River in the north. Mordao Fuyuan Ecological Forest Tourist Area is China's last cold temperate bright coniferous virgin forest. It is the northernmost place in China, the longest sightseeing route, the most complete forest ecological diversity, and the most abundant species. The National Forest Park is an emerald set in the top of the cockscomb of the motherland.

Escape the humid heat of Guangdong, run freely in the grassland The sky is very blue, the wind is gentle, really love Inner Mongolia 🚗 It’s about a one and a half hour drive from Hohhot, try to go when the weather is good, the road conditions are great. 🗨 If you want to ride horses, it’s best to do so in the latter part; the earlier it is, the more expensive. Remember to bring a jacket and self-heating rice. ✍️ The ticket is 50 yuan each. Some villagers selling at stalls a bit in front of the scenic area sold them to us (10 yuan cheaper than the ticket office). Friends, remember to use the restroom at the ticket office 🚾 p8-9 were taken in the Misty Forest at Hadamen. Unfortunately, it rained heavily when we reached the top, so we couldn’t see the sunset. p10 was taken on the way back from Hadamen at a wild scenic spot.

Religion, cultural, shopping mall, volcano, desert & grassland. Inner Mongolia is really eye opening, I thought it was very rural but it’s as modernised as a city, it’s just more spacious. When staying at grassland, the people are not as bright nor accommodating, but still friendly, so do bear in mind to expect less on meal service. Desert more focused on activities so be prepared to bring hair cover from desert sand. The Most Beautiful Sunrise Check-in at Juyan Lake At Juyan Lake in Ejina, Inner Mongolia, I experienced an unforgettable sunrise journey. In Mongolian, this place is called "Heavenly Lake." Although the weather wasn’t perfect, with thick clouds and the sun not fully visible, the scenery was still enchanting. The landscape described by Wang Wei seemed to be right before my eyes, accompanied by seagulls and reeds dancing in the wind. This trip was a bit tiring, but such beautiful scenery made it all worthwhile. 📍 Address: 40 km north of Dalaihubu Town, Ejina Banner, Alxa League ⏰ Best viewing time: 5:30 AM (In summer, it’s recommended to arrive by 4:30 AM to secure a spot) Although the clouds were a bit thick, the impact was no less stunning! In Mongolian, this place is called "Heavenly Lake" 🌊, and the scene from Wang Wei’s poem is right before your eyes ✨ Watching seagulls skim across the lake in the morning light, with reeds swaying in the wind, everything calms down～ Although waking up early is tough, it’s really worth it! 💯 Photography tips 📸: 1️⃣ Prepare a telephoto lens in advance 2️⃣ Dress warmly!
