Like, in spring, it’s all about those blue nemophila flowers, literally a whole hill covered in soft blue blooms that looks like something out of a dream. In autumn, the same hill turns bright red with these fluffy plants called kochia. It’s wild how different it looks every few months. The place is huge, so you can rent a bike and just cruise around without bumping into crowds. There’s also a little amusement park inside if you're feeling extra, but honestly, just walking around, chilling, and taking a million photos is enough. It’s super peaceful, especially on weekdays. A bit out of the way from Tokyo, but totally worth the trip. Bring snacks, comfy shoes, and your camera, ou won’t regret it.

#cherryblossom25 Now is a great time to see the beautiful blue nemophila flowers in Hitachi Seaside Park as they’re in full bloom. When we visited last year in early May, the season was almost over. So, instead of the fields turning into a sea of blue flowers, the fields showcased a greyish blue ambience. Still, it was a lovely sight. To get to the park, it takes about 90 minutes by train from Tokyo to Katsuta Station, followed by a short bus ride to the park. The park is huge, and the area where the blue flowers bloom is quite a distance from the entrance. Useful tip: You need to take the train from the entrance and get off once you spot the sea of blue flowers on a hill. It’ll save some walking, but please be prepared to walk up and down the hill. The park is open daily from 7 am to 5 pm.
