Mashiko Town, Tochigi Prefecture, known for Mashiko ware, is home to about 250 kilns and pottery stores, but this time we visited Kogama Iwashita (Iwashita Pottery), a kiln founded in 1866! You can also visit the town's designated tangible cultural properties, the climbing kiln and the Taiheigama kiln, for free.
