A day in Cuenca was an amazing experience, enjoying the charming streets and historical landmarks. The first place we visited was the 'Hanging Houses (Casas Colgadas)'. The unique buildings perched on the cliff are an iconic sight of Cuenca, and we were overwhelmed by their grandeur. Next, we went to Cuenca Cathedral. We were impressed by the beautiful Gothic exterior and the magnificent interior. In the afternoon, we strolled through the old town, exploring the narrow alleys and cobblestone streets, discovering historical buildings and small squares. From the nearby mountaintop, we had a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city of Cuenca, and we were captivated by its beauty for a while. Cuenca is a wonderful place where history, nature, and culture harmonize, and it is full of charm that makes you want to visit again.

It is an outstanding example of a medieval fortress city, retaining its original town landscape and many typical religious and secular buildings from the 12th to the 18th century. Cuenca is located on a steep hillside at the intersection of the Vecal River and the Huca River Valley, 170 kilometers east of Madrid.
