The Barefoot Cafe is a beautiful courtyard hidden in the tourist heart of Colombo. It’s got such a chilled out vibe: people chatting, enjoying lunch, coffee or cocktails, and a lovely mix of ages and nationalities. All the food was prepared to a very high standard and the staff, although busy, were unfailingly friendly and helpful. We visited Peppermint Cafe some time ago, and although I can't recall the exact date, recently coming across photos in my gallery brought back all the great memories of my meal there. The food is tasty and well-prepared. I tried the Oreo shake and KitKat shake; they are absolutely good and worth it. I've tried different shops for these shakes, but none of them are as good. The only downside is that this place is too hot with no air conditioning.
