Changshu|A weekend by the Qin Lake and delicious Chinese food are a perfect match
It’s the weekend and the sun is finally out! ! ! The sun was shining, and my friends and I met at Qinran Chinese Restaurant on the 3rd floor of Changshu Hilton Hotel to start a wonderful lunch experience on the weekend. As you step into the restaurant, soft lighting pours down, complementing the Chinese-style wooden tables and chairs and elegant decorative ornaments, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere. The koi decorations hanging from the ceiling add a strong cultural flavor to the restaurant, making people relax instantly.
The restaurant service is very good, the order is taken quickly and recommendations are given. Soon, the dishes we ordered were served one after another. The first is the "Jiangnan Splendid Two Cold Dishes". The two cold dishes are presented very exquisitely, with harmonious color combination, which is pleasing to the eye. One of the dishes is fish, which has a moderate salty and fragrant taste and is full of flavor; the other dish is osmanthus glutinous rice lotus root, which has a light sweetness and gives you the feeling of the Jiangnan water village.
Next, "Hydrangea stewed in clear soup to improve eyesight" was served. This soup is a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. The soup is clear and transparent, just like amber. The "Hydrangea" in the soup is actually Wensi tofu made with fine knife skills and paired with delicious quail eggs. The soup is fresh and delicious, and the "Hydrangea" has a delicate and tender texture that melts in the mouth, bringing the ultimate enjoyment to the taste buds. At the same time, you can also feel the chef's superb cooking skills.
The restaurant's signature dish, "Glass Crispy Pigeon", is definitely the star dish of this food tour. When the squab is served on the table, its shiny red skin sparkles with an alluring luster under the light, as if it were wrapped in a layer of crystal clear glass, making people salivate. Take a gentle bite, and with a "crunch" sound, the crispy skin instantly breaks between the teeth, making a crisp and pleasant sound, followed by the tender and juicy pigeon meat, the meat is tender and smooth, the meat aroma and the crispy skin are perfectly blended, the taste is rich and mellow. The juice of the pigeon meat overflows in the mouth, and every bite is full of satisfaction. It is worthy of being a signature delicacy and is endlessly memorable.
The "Stir-fried Scallops with Asparagus and XO Sauce" is equally delicious. The fresh and crisp asparagus is green in color, as if carrying the breath of spring. Each asparagus is carefully processed and has a crisp and sweet taste. The scallops are the star of this dish, they are plump and have chewy texture. After being carefully fried in XO sauce, the scallops fully absorbed the deliciousness of the sauce. The rich seafood flavor and the unique flavor of XO sauce are intertwined with each other, creating rich layers.
The surprise is the new dish "Black Truffle Pan-fried Abalone and Boneless Chicken". The unique aroma of black truffle hits our noses and instantly attracts our attention. The abalone is cooked just right, fresh and tender, and you can feel its firmness and deliciousness in every bite. The boneless chicken is fried and baked until the skin is golden and crispy, and the inside is tender and juicy. The chicken absorbs the aroma of black truffles, and the taste becomes richer and mellower. The mysterious aroma of black truffle, the deliciousness of abalone and the mellowness of chicken, the combination of these three ingredients brings a whole new taste enjoyment.
The main course "Suzhou-style shrimp wontons" was served. The small wontons looked like ingots, neatly arranged in the bowl. The wonton skin is as thin as a cicada's wing, wrapped with plump shrimp filling. With a light bite, the delicious soup instantly bursts in your mouth, and the fresh and tender taste of the shrimp is intoxicating.
Finally, the dessert "Pangzhi Ganlu with Mushroom Shortbread" has an attractive color of mango sago, a perfect blend of the sweetness of mango, the chewy texture of tapioca pearls, and the sour taste of grapefruit. It has a rich taste and is refreshing. The matching mushroom biscuits are even more unique, with a small and cute appearance. When you take a bite, you will find that the biscuits are crispy on the outside and soft and glutinous on the inside, exuding a light mushroom aroma, which adds a unique flavor to the dessert and is eye-catching. As the meal was coming to an end, the restaurant thoughtfully served seasonal fruits. It brought a refreshing finish to the entire meal.
This weekend lunch at Qinran Chinese Restaurant on the 3rd floor of Hilton Changshu Hotel left us with a deep impression, both for the exquisite and delicious dishes and the warm and comfortable dining environment. Every dish here seems to be a work of art carefully created by the chef, which not only satisfies our taste buds, but also allows us to experience the perfect fusion of food and culture. This was an unforgettable dining experience and we look forward to visiting again next time to explore more delicious food.
