I needed a hotel in Bournemouth for a night so I stayed at the Travelodge on the seafront ,it’s a short hop from the beach , which has blue flag status , thanks to 7 miles of clean golden sand . Nearby there are coastal walks , pretty tea shops and places for traditional fish and chips. Unwind with great food , wonderful views and miles of coastline to explore . You’re close to both the train station and airport , and if you want to venture beyond , it’s a short drive into the heart of the new forest . Standard double rooms have a comfy king size bed ,complete with four plump pillows and a cosy duvet . Enjoy plenty of choices at breakfast and a delicious menu of evening meals in the onsite Bar and Cafe . Along with great food the Bar Cafe also serves a great range of drinks and bar snacks , including a great selection of world beers , pale ale and wines , Alcohol free drinks are also available. Breakfast from 7am -10am Monday to Friday and 8am - 11am on weekends . Dinner is between 5-10pm Parking is charged at £7.50per 24hrs for guests . #beachaholic Bournemouth has a long, wide sandy beach. It can get very busy, but not today as the weather was not good. It's nice to walk along the beach, and if you turn right in front of the pier, there is a pavement up and along for great views. Enjoy an ice-cream. You need to pay to go on the pier, a bit expensive, there is also a big wheel there. But the best options are the free ones of playing in the sea and sand, and walking.

📌The Savoy Hotel (now The Nici Hotel) 📌W Hill Rd, Bournemouth BH2 5EJ England As expected from a resort city like Bournemouth, England, there were many hotels with swimming pools. What was surprising was that there were many traditional British homes around the hotels. The Savoy Hotel (now The Nici Hotel), where I stayed for one night, was a place that had the feel of a traditional British home. The floor was made of carpet and the creaking sound of wood when I walked was quite a refreshing shock. It reminded me of my childhood when I lived in England. The bathrooms were all dry toilets, so I had to be careful not to splash water on the floor. Summer is all about going to the beach, stepping barefoot on the soft sand, feeling the sea breeze, sunshine and beach... Bournemouth is a coastal city in the southwest of England. It has a 153-kilometer coastline. It is said to be a Jurassic coast and is listed as a World Heritage Site! Bournemouth Beach has been voted the number one beach in the UK by TripAdvisor tourists for two consecutive years, and is also ranked sixth in Europe and 20th in the world! The fact that it is ranked first in the UK is enough to make it worth a trip! Bournemouth Beach is mainly divided into four parts: Alum Chine Beach, Durley Chine Beach, Fisherman's Walk Beach and Southbourne Beach! Among them, Alum Chine Beach and Durley Chine Beach are more famous and convenient, close to the center of Bournemouth. The latter two beaches are less crowded and comfortable, suitable for leisure vacations! Transport from London to Bournemouth: Train: Take the train from London Waterloo Station to Bournemouth Station. The whole journey takes about 2 hours. The Off Peak price after Group Discount for 3 people is about 33.85 pounds per person for a round trip! Without the Group Discount, it costs 57 pounds per person! Through train: Take the National Express from London Victoria Coach Station to Bournemouth. The whole journey takes about 2.5 hours and costs about 36.6 pounds per person round trip! After arriving at Bournemouth Station, it takes about 30 minutes to walk to Bournemouth Beach! Since this was a day trip and we were a bit pressed for time, we only chose to walk around the beaches near the center of Bournemouth (Alum Chine Beach and Durley Chine Beach)! Before heading to the beach, you might want to visit the tourist center and get a map for reference! Bournemouth's top 3 filming locations: Popular photo spot 1: Bournemouth postcard angle If you want to know what are the must-see and must-photograph places when traveling to a place, just look at the postcards. XD Just off the coast of Bournemouth is the English Channel! Popular photo spot 2: Rows of yellow, blue and green houses At Bournemouth Pier, when facing the sea, walk to the right and you will see rows of yellow, blue and green cottages! These huts are called Beach Huts. They are rented out to store items or provide a place for people to cook and rest after a whole day on the beach! Behind the closed door is a great spot for taking photos. XD The colors here are mainly yellow, blue and green. If there are three people coming, each person can choose a color! Popular shooting spot 3: Rows of gradient-colored cottages At Bournemouth Pier, when facing the sea, walk to the left and you will see rows of cottages in gradient colors! Starting from beige, it gradually changes to green, blue, purple, pink, light...a variety of colors for you to choose from! My personal favorites are the three areas of gradient blue, gradient purple, and gradient pink. In terms of framing, you can shoot one cabin independently or multiple cabins together, it’s so beautiful! Bournemouth feels a bit like Australia's Gold Coast to me, with the same long coastline; seeing the colorful cottages reminds me of Melbourne's Brighton Beach! Bournemouth. Not a place you hear about too often, and definitely not a place you think about when you want to see untouched nation But it is a treat to go check it out yourself. This hidden place does not have too many tourist traps, but it is easy to get there by car. Once there, walk along the path next to the cliffs and take in the refreshing sea breeze. The cliffs are known are Known as Harry. there is a sad story that his wife walked along the cliffs and accidentally fell over. and that’s how they got their name. Thankfully nowadays there are rails in place. And a great path down to the shore to check out the beach. a lonely place to walk across. All in all I would definitely recommend this scenic area off the beaten path and take in the smells of the fresh sea. 😊 #christmasgiveaway

Nice for walking the dogs You can rent a Hut for the day or the week if you fancy that They’re electric barbecue on the beach so just bring your meats and start cooking Parking available not sure of the Prices Lifeguards on the Beach too The end is soft and desert-like, the sea is cool and clean, there is no seaweed except for a spot here and there. The kids loved it all, and they in turn makes this place much more memorable.

Beautiful beach. One of my favorites in Bournemouth as well as Sandbanks beach. There are places for food, drinks, icecream, coffee etc There are toilets available and parking as well This is a beautiful beach. Not that many people out there. There is a very good view upon Studland and the old harry rocks.

Visited here while staying in Bournemouth, Lots of greenery and open spaces with lots of benches and places to rest. a peaceful relaxing area, a small river runs through it, there is a crazy golf style putting area here. some kiosks one small one sells ice-cream and some snacks etc, there's another larger one that sells food and hot and cold drinks with seating and tables outside it. The park is stunningly looked after and the array of flowers is nice to look at. If you are looking to escape the Bournemouth sea front, if only for a moment, I’d recommend this park.

A Hidden Gem Full of Character and History. Our visit to the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery was a delightful surprise. The building itself is stunning, an entrancing blend of Victorian splendour and chateau-style architecture. This is an amazing story of a couple who traveled the world collecting all the treasures. I am absolutely delighted. I recommend everyone to visit this place and touch the history of this house and its history.

The scenery is stunning, with waves lapping at the shore. Whether you're looking to relax with a book, enjoy water sports, or take a leisurely walk along the shoreline, this beach has it all. Amenities are conveniently located, including clean restrooms, and lovely outdoor and indoor dining options nearby for a refreshing bite or a cool drink. This is a wild and beautiful spot which is at its finest out of season, when the wind blows and the surf is up. There's a large car park and lots of walkers enjoying the headland and the beaches.

My Coastal Escape: Bournemouth & Durdle Door I spent an unforgettable day exploring the stunning coastline of southern England. Bournemouth welcomed me with its golden sandy beaches, vibrant pier, and laid-back seaside atmosphere. I strolled along the promenade, soaked up the sunshine, and enjoyed the fresh sea breeze. Later, I made my way to Durdle Door, and the scenery took my breath away. The iconic limestone arch rising from the turquoise water looked like something out of a postcard. The hike down the cliffs was totally worth it for the panoramic views and the chance to stand right on the pebbled shore beneath the arch. From relaxing on Bournemouth Beach to witnessing the raw beauty of Durdle Door, this trip was the perfect mix of tranquility and adventure. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

As soon as I stepped off the train, I could feel the holiday spirit in the air: families with beach bags, couples holding ice cream cones, and the distant sound of seagulls calling over the waves. The beach was the heart of it all. Golden sand stretched as far as the eye could see, soft and warm underfoot. I kicked off my shoes and joined the crowd—sunbathers lying on colourful towels, children building sandcastles, and people dipping into the cool, clear water. It was lively but not overwhelming, and the fresh sea air made everything feel lighter. A walk along the pier gave me one of the best views of the coast. The water sparkled under the afternoon sun, and there was a cheerful buzz from the arcade and small cafés nearby. I bought a cone of chips with vinegar and ate it while watching the waves roll in—simple, salty, and perfect. Later, I wandered through the Lower Gardens, where the trees offered shade and the flower beds burst with colour. Musicians played live jazz near the bandstand, and a gentle breeze made the whole scene feel dreamlike. As the sun began to set, I found a spot on the beach to sit and just breathe. My Experience at the Bournemouth Christmas Markets Visiting the Bournemouth Christmas Markets was a truly magical experience that brought festive cheer to life. Set in the heart of the town centre, the markets were beautifully lit with fairy lights, wooden chalets, and a towering Christmas tree that immediately captured the spirit of the season. I started my visit by strolling through the charming Alpine Market stalls, each one offering something unique—from handcrafted gifts and Christmas decorations to delicious festive treats. The scent of mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, and bratwurst filled the air, creating an irresistible atmosphere. I couldn’t resist grabbing a hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and marshmallows to keep warm as I wandered. One of the highlights for me was the SKATE ice rink in the Lower Gardens. Though I didn’t brave the ice myself, it was lovely watching families and couples gliding around, laughing and enjoying the music. The atmosphere was lively but cozy, and it was easy to get caught up in the festive joy all around. In the evening, I visited the Alpine Lodge bar, which was the perfect spot to relax and soak in the ambiance. With live music and a warm, rustic interior, it was a great place to wind down and enjoy a drink with friends. Overall, the Bournemouth Christmas Markets exceeded my expectations. It was more than just shopping—it was about the whole experience: the lights, the music, the food, and the joyful community spirit.
