There are so much to do, and one of Berlin strength is the museums. Highly recommend to get a museum island pass if you’re a fan for museums. I personally got a 72hr WelcomeCard (Museum Islands) which includes 72hr access to Berlin local transportation and four of the best museums: Neues Museum, Altes National Gallery, Bode Museum & Pergamon Museum (the main building is under renovation till quite some time later, but the Panorama will remain open).

My 4 day trip to Berlin Getting There - From the airport to the city center was very easy to get the train. Google maps helps to get the right train and platform and before arriving to Berlin I downloaded their local train app BVG where you could purchase the train ticket. I got the ABC single ticket, this only works for an hour. Hotels - H4 hotel was very central and ideal to travel around Berlin. The room was a good size and the bathroom had a lot of amenities. The staff were very friendly and spoke a range of languages - Spanish, English, Dutch, German. Tours - I went on 3 tours with Get your Guide, these tours there was a lot of walking. Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp - this was an amazing experience, the guide was very informative and friendly about the history of the camp. price: £20.83 Extra: you need to buy your train ticket to get there. Berlin walking tour: this was an ideal tour, as you visit all the top tourist attractions and get a lot of tips and facts about each location. price: £16.63 Boat tour: it was a lovely way to spend time before my flight and learn more historical facts about Berlin. The tour was bilingual, the guide spoke in both English and German. On the boat tour you could buy drinks or snacks. price: £15.84 other: getting around Berlin was enjoyable, I traveled in all the transport as you can see a lot more of the city. Our recent 4-day trip to Berlin was an amazing blend of history, culture, and culinary discoveries. Starting at Brandenburg Gate, we were captivated by its iconic beauty—especially stunning when illuminated at night. Checkpoint Charlie offered a sombre look into Berlin’s divided past, making it a surreal experience to stand where history unfolded. Museum Island was a cultural gem, with each museum housing unique artefacts. The Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) was especially memorable, with breathtaking architecture and spectacular views over the city from its dome. Exploring Kurfürstendamm (Ku’damm) showed us Berlin’s modern, vibrant side, filled with lively cafes, shops, and a bustling atmosphere. East Side Gallery was a highlight, with each mural along the former Berlin Wall telling a moving story—a true tribute to freedom and artistic expression. We also had some excellent dining experiences. For breakfast, Croissants and More offered delicious, affordable options, while Café Minouche served up a delightful breakfast, perfect for starting our day. For dinner, Indian Village had some of the best Indian food we've had, with rich, authentic flavours, while Baba Pirzola was another fantastic find, offering a great meal and friendly atmosphere. #kidsfriendly Our visit to the Berlin Zoo with the kids was an absolute delight! Located in the heart of the city, the entrance fee was around €17 for adults and €9 for kids, which felt like a good deal for the experience we got. From the moment we walked through the beautiful historic gates, we knew it was going to be a special day. The kids were thrilled to see so many animals up close. The highlights were definitely the panda exhibit and the lion enclosure. The zoo is massive, so we took our time exploring, stopping for a picnic at one of the green spaces inside. The layout is easy to navigate with strollers, and there’s a fantastic playground where the kids burned off some energy. After the zoo, we explored nearby Tiergarten Park, which was a perfect way to wind down the day. We recently visited Berlin, Germany. If you’re an animal lover and photography enthusiast, I highly recommend exploring the city’s two incredible zoos. Our first stop was the Berlin Zoological Garden, located near the famous Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. This zoo is home to over 20,000 animals from around the globe, and its central location makes it a perfect starting point for an animal-centric day. We found the best time to visit was in the early morning when the animals are more active, and the light is perfect for capturing stunning photographs 📸 of creatures like giant pandas 🐼 polar bears🐻❄️ and rare birds 🦅 The zoo’s lush greenery and iconic enclosures also make it a photographer’s paradise. Europe's rail network connects the continent, and with high-speed trains, you can travel from one country to another in just two to three hours. Moreover, train stations are usually located in city centers. This time, I took the train from the Czech Republic to Berlin. Berlin is a historic city with plenty to see, and its zoo is also a lot of fun.

The structure was built between 1788 to 1791 and has underwent many major occasions and events like the Prussian Revolutions, World War I and II, the German division, Cold War and reunification. It stands in between Pariser Platz and Platz des 18. After World War II, Berlin was divided onto east and west and this gate was set as the border between the two, and a wall was erected in 1961 to separate both territories. In the 1989 revolutions, pedestrians can be seen standing on top of the wall to demand the tearing of it as part of the reunification process. The Gate was accessible by cars in the 90s but was pedestrianized in 2005. Today, this gate is seen as a symbol of peace and unity as well as the rememberence of the tumultuous histories of Germany and Europe.

This building has a rich and tumultuous history, witnessing the rise and fall of the German Empire, the Weimar Republic, and Nazi Germany. After German reunification, the renowned architect Sir Norman Foster meticulously restored and modernized the building. Today, it stands as a symbol of German unity and democracy, attracting millions of visitors each year who come to appreciate its historical significance and architectural splendor. The architectural design of the Reichstag Building blends historical and modern elements. Initially designed by Paul Wallot in a Neo-Renaissance style, the building's grand facade features Corinthian columns and intricate stone carvings. German Berlin 🇩🇪 is so nice place to hang out with friends. This location was the best for some chill time. They got some restaurants, cafes, shopping stores to get some fancy stuff etc… I will definitely go back here 🩷 10/10. If any of you ever has a chance to go by go for it you will not regret 😊. There are a few magnificient masterpiece in the museum, namely the Pergamon Altar, Market Gate of Miletus, Ishtar Gate and the Meissner fragments of the Epic of Gilgamesh. There are also many important Relic for showcase predominantly from the Byzantine Era. This is a must to visit for those visiting Berlin.

The entrance hall consists of the cupola and it leads you to the Byzantine collections of the statues, paintings, altars etc. It has a very strategic location with the building located just beside River Spree, which gave tourists a chance to take very nice pictures along the river. It was also inscribed onto the UNESCO Cultural Heritage list in 1999 as part of the Museum Island Complex.

My stay at the Grand Hyatt Berlin was a luxurious and unique experience by all standards. The service was always excellent and professional, exceeding my expectations. I enjoyed delicious meals at the hotel's upscale restaurant, making use of the luxury amenities like the spa and gym. I also appreciated the hotel's excellent location in the heart of Berlin, which made it easy to get around and explore the city. It was an unforgettable experience and I look forward to returning.

I ordered a flat white, and it was so rich and creamy that I understood why it was famous. A flat white was 4 euros. It's a famous cafe, but it was also good value for money. They also sell coffee beans separately, so if you're interested, stop by!
