Asahifunagawa's "Spring Quartet" is popular for its beautiful collaboration of the Northern Alps mountains, rows of cherry blossom trees, tulips, and rape blossoms. It's difficult to get the conditions where the cherry blossoms, rape blossoms, and tulips are all in full bloom at the same time, and the mountains are clearly visible on a clear day, so I've wanted to go for the past few years but never had the chance, but I finally got to go last year. The venue is very large, and it seems that not all the tulips in the fields are in full bloom at the same time, so you can take a photo like Photo 1 by looking for a place where you can get a good balance of tulips in full bloom, rape blossoms, and cherry blossoms in the frame. A few meters to the side, I was able to take a photo of the rape blossoms and cherry blossoms, which was also beautiful [Photo 2]. By the way, the light is backlit in the morning, so I recommend taking more beautiful photos in the afternoon or evening. However, since it's a popular spot, there are quite a lot of people, as in Photo 3. So it's quite difficult to take a photo without people, and I especially had to be patient waiting for the road between the rape blossoms and tulip fields to be deserted. I went on a weekday, so I think it would be even more crowded on the weekends. If you walk towards the cherry blossoms, you can take pictures of the beautiful rows of cherry trees (Photo 4). For those who come to Toyama during this time, if you have time, try to stop by the spring Quartet in Asahi City. You can stop by to see the bright red spider lily field, along with the art rice field and the sunflower field. All are displayed in the same place. Park your car and walk around. If you don't have a car, take the Ainokaze Line to the last stop at Tomari, then take a taxi for about 15 minutes. Most spider lilies bloom from the end of September to the beginning of October. A picturesque place with tulips in the foreground, snowy mountains in the background, and sakura in the middle. I visited on April 16, 2024, which was after the event period, so some sakura had already started to fall. However, the tulips were in full bloom. The weather was nice and sunny. It's recommended to have a private car for convenience, but if you don't have one, there are shuttle buses from Tomari Station during the event period.

There are many flowers that represent spring. Among them, the ones that come to mind for most people are probably "cherry blossoms," "rapeseed flowers," and "tulips." The cherry blossom line that stretches for about 1.2 km along the Funagawa River that flows through Asahi Town, Toyama Prefecture, is a spectacular sight in spring. In fact, this place is the cherry blossom part behind the Asahi Funagawa Spring Quartet, which I introduced in another post! If you want to see the Spring Quartet, you should also see the cherry blossom line. There is also a (probably) temporary bridge, which tickles the hearts of camera lovers. The first photo was taken from that temporary bridge. It is because of the bridge that you can take photos with the river as the center.
