2025 Areni Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in March)

On a second day of our New Yeah holidays celebrations in Armenia we went to a beautiful Noravank Monastery. It’s located in a gorge of red color and close to the river. The views are stunning here. There are two churches and a chapel there, three of them are very beautiful and shouldn’t be skipped. If possible take a tour guide with you, believe the history of Armenia is so interesting that you won’t regret. #celebrateit

What kind of celebration is that without a glass of wine? That’s why we went to a wine factory. It was surprising to see such a big factory and to learn about wine manufacture and some peculiarities and interesting facts about that industry and different types of wine. In the end of the tour you are invited to try the wine and of course to buy some if you liked it. #celebrateit

Hin Areni is one of the biggest wineries in Armenia. Here you learn about the process of winemaking and have a chance to taste different wines they produce. The winery has tasting room, a restaurant and a shop where you can buy the wine you liked the most. All of it combined with the stunning views of the mountains is just a lifetime experience you can’t miss. Great views, good wine, lovely local people, interesting facts to learn is all you need when visiting this place. This was one of a lifetime experience to visit Noravank monastery high in the mountains. The view over mountains is just breathtaking, you can’t miss this place. All the road going through canyon and then high up to the monastery is just an experience. The monastery is very ancient architecture and has been dated back to 13th century.
