Gorgeous Italian Meal
Pestos at the Peacock is a wonderful establishment in Alfreton. I enjoyed a very tasty Italian meal. I had the spicy arrabbiata, panzerotti and arancini. It was definitely one of the best meals I have ever had. The plates are small, so you can enjoy more of what you like, instead of having one meal. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to people who like to try new things since this restaurant has it all on offer.

Tranquil Haven: Discover Serenity in Buxworth
#Riverside In the quiet embrace of Buxworth, tranquility became a companion. The village unfolded with understated charm, where stone cottages stood as silent storytellers of a bygone era. As I wandered along the canal towpath, the still waters mirrored the peaceful ambiance that enveloped this hidden gem.
Buxworth Basin revealed itself—a haven where narrowboats rested, and the air was filled with the gentle lapping of water against the shores. The historic Lime Kilns, standing stoically, added a touch of industrial heritage to the landscape.
Amidst the surrounding hills, the scent of woodland and the distant sounds of wildlife created a serene symphony. The Peak Forest Tramway path led to hidden corners, each offering a snapshot of the village's pastoral beauty.
Buxworth, a tranquil haven tucked away in the folds of nature, where time slows down, and the soul finds solace in the simplicity of village life.

Planning an autumn trip to the UK? Don’t forget to add Derbyshire and the Peak District to your list of potential locations. Made for outdoor adventures, this area is especially picturesque when the fall foliage is in full force - do not forget the camera. Adrenaline-junkies can go caving, rock climbing, mountain biking, and white-water rafting. If you’re looking for something a little more relaxing, take on the many woodland walks, visit historic houses, or explore the picturesque villages.
The best things to do in Derbyshire take advantage of the beautiful nature that can be found throughout the county. Located in the East Midlands, Derbyshire is dominated by the Peak District National Park, which brings many people to the area looking for challenging hikes and caves to explore.
If you prefer a more sedated holiday in Derbyshire, interesting attractions include taking a dip in thermal spa waters, sightseeing by tram, and visiting its many country manors and stately homes.
