⭐️Snorkeling equipment such as fins and life jackets available for rent (for a fee)
Napaling in Bohol is a beloved spot for many travelers because you can reach the snorkeling and diving points directly from the land (cliff) without having to take a boat far out to sea.
Enter Kalikasan Resort, pay the entrance fee, rent fins and a life jacket, and then go down the stairs under the cliff behind the resort to find the clear sea right away.
Near the shore, where you can touch the ground, there are many small fish and you can clearly see sea anemones.
If you go a bit deeper into the water, you can see the amazing sardine run that Napaling is famous for, which is truly magical and fun.
After diving, you can also use the shower facilities within Kalikasan Resort, so the entrance fee is definitely worth it.

⭐ Classic Attractions
Chocolate Hills⛰︎: Located in the central part of Bohol Island, you can join a land day tour to visit. During the dry season, the grass on the hills turns brown due to the sun, and their shape resembles a type of chocolate abroad, hence the name Chocolate Hills. These hills are covered with vegetation, and the color of these plants changes with the seasons, temperature, and rainfall: tender green in spring, dark green in summer, egg yellow in early autumn, yellow-red in late autumn, and brown coffee color in the dry season.
Balicasag🏝: One of the two most famous underwater faults in the world is in the Philippines. A beautiful, peaceful small island floating on the sea hides the world-renowned Balicasag fault. This is the junction of the continental shelf and the ocean fault, forming a particularly deep trench with a depth of 3,000 meters, making it a world-famous diving destination.
Sardine Run🌪: Napaling is located in the middle of the northern part of Panglao Island, a long coastal cliff where you can appreciate the underwater ecology of Bohol Island without a diving license! Here you can witness the sardine run, where the sardine school constantly changes formation rapidly, and the sunlight shining on the fish makes them flicker, looking like the aurora from a distance, which is very shocking!
Virgin Island💨: This is a small island that only emerges for 2 hours at noon every day and then submerges under the sea after the tide rises. The real name of Virgin Island is Pontod Island, an uninhabited island. You need to walk a long wooden plank road to get to the real Virgin Island, from where you can see another Virgin Island, less than 500 meters apart. Virgin Island is small, with a beautiful long trailing sand beach, and you can try the local sea urchins here, which cost only 10-15 pesos for a feast.

How come the flowers at the bottom of the sea aren't flowers?
The journey begins with a flight taken alone,
Inhaling eight hundred bottles, making a hundred new friends.
It could be more romantic, with the scent of the ocean,
And possess the understanding and playfulness that the sea lacks.
In fact, there are many dive shops on Mint Island, and over the years they have had their ups and downs. No matter how marketing is done, professional and responsible teaching is the real deal.
I had an epiphany when I took the O exam in '19, and here I am again in '24~
I really like their often-quoted slogan,
'Every new diver is another guardian of the ocean.'
——————————————————
Currently, there are five Chinese-speaking coaches, and six who speak English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Australian. It's truly international, able to satisfy any language requirement for teaching. And the coaches are very handsome!!
🤿 My coach A Le is a trainer of trainers, a teacher's teacher, super nice, with a strong professional attitude, who seriously instills the idea of protecting the ocean in everyone, which is very meaningful. Of course, listening to Minnan dialect is not a problem either.
📖 I really must praise the teaching ratio of 1v2, who understands this!
In my view, diving is about enjoying the process rather than just achieving a result, rejecting assembly line operations, rejecting crash courses, learning solidly, and being responsible for life is really important.
🐟 Even the class location is at Napaling, directly watching the sardine storm, a place everyone specifically signs up for at FD. (Pictures 1, 3, and 6)
🏠 The dive shop also has a guesthouse, and of course, there is a shuttle service for the entire course duration, so you don't have to worry about anything other than diving. I've put the pictures of the guesthouse at the end for everyone to refer to. The main selling point is cleanliness and tidiness~
🧜🏻♀️ Fundive arrangements are also clear and straightforward. Actually, this trip was disrupted by a sudden ankle sprain, but the dive shop was very considerate and tried their best to re-plan according to my schedule. When everyone else couldn't book at Barikasa, I was lucky enough to snag a spot~~
Overall, the entire experience was very good! Professional and warm, loving every person I met during the diving trip.
Hinagdanan Cave in Bohol is one of the greatest finds where mystery and cool places await. This is included in one of our tour destinations in Bohol. Refreshing bath and amazing view it is.
Hinagdanan Cave: Panglao's Hidden Gem
Hinagdanan Cave in Tagbilaran, Philippines, is a mesmerizing natural wonder that beckons adventurers and nature enthusiasts alike. Located on Panglao Island, this limestone cave boasts a captivating blend of stalactites, stalagmites, and underground pools, creating a surreal and enchanting environment.
The cave's name, "Hinagdanan," translates to "laddered" in the local dialect, derived from the natural ladder-like formations that lead visitors down into its depths. As visitors descend into the cool, dimly lit chambers, they are greeted by the soothing sounds of dripping water and the otherworldly beauty of the cave's geological formations.
One of the highlights of Hinagdanan Cave is its crystal-clear underground pool, inviting visitors to take a refreshing dip amidst the ancient rock formations. Beyond its natural beauty, the cave holds cultural significance for the local community, serving as a place for gatherings, rituals, and storytelling.
A visit to Hinagdanan Cave offers a memorable journey into the depths of Bohol's natural wonders, showcasing the island's geological marvels and cultural heritage in one breathtaking experience. #tripstars #travel

#2024wish
My 2024 travel wish is to visit Phuket. I will like to try out their water sports there. I would also like to find out more about the temple there and pay a visit to there too.
During our day tour trip, we went to the bee farm to understand more about the bee lifestyle and try out the honey that they have produced freshly for us. The honey was very sparkling as it was freshly made by the bees. We also get to know the living lifestyle of the bee and what are the foods that they consume.

Don’t Miss Bohol Bee Farm in your Bohol Food Stop
Our first order of business when we went to Bohol on my birthday week was Bohol Bee Farm Restaurant. It took us around 20 minutes from Henann Alona.
Bohol Bee Farm is a privately owned resort and hotel but it is best known for two things — their restaurant and their organic farm. Perched on a cliff a kilometer from the main highway of Panglao Island, it is not very easy to find; a place that you need a conscious effort to get to. And those who make an effort are rewarded with a fantastic, healthy dining experience. The restaurant is hidden at the very end of the area, concealed by trees and their crawling branches. To get there, we had to walk across a lovely garden that sets the tone and the rustic atmosphere.
The view from our seats was amazing! When it comes to taste, the food at Bohol Bee Farm delivers. But its taste is not what actually makes this place worth trying — it’s the overall dining experience of which taste is just a part. The presentation is intriguing, the food healthy, the atmosphere cozy, and the service topnotch. It would have been much better had we joined a bee tour but even without it, it’s the kind of dining out that kids and adults alike will surely enjoy and remember for a long time.

A Truly Hidden Gem in Bohol🇵🇭
#timetotravel
To be honest I didn't expect much from this cave but I was surprised with it's beauty. A little cave with but very well maintained especially the water. The rocks in the cave are beautifully formed which also adds to its beauty. We didn't get into the water because of time constraints but if ever we are in Bohol again, I want to swim in the water. Very picturesque and well lit. Entrance: 50 Pesos but if you want to swim then that is with extra charge of 75 pesos.
Address: Dauis, Bohol. You can take a tuktuk ride which will cost you 150-300 depending where you are starting but there are a lot of tour packages that will include this in your itinerary. Enjoy!!

The Majestic Whaleshark Encounter in Cebu, Philippines 🐋🐋🐋 Awe-Inspiring Moments
🐋🐋🐋 A breathtaking encounter with the gentle giants of the sea, the majestic whale sharks in the crystal clear waters of Cebu, Philippines. As I dove beneath the surface, my heart filled with awe and wonder as these magnificent creatures gracefully glided through the ocean. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that left me humbled and in awe of the beauty of nature. The whale sharks, known as the gentle giants of the sea, captivated my soul with their sheer size and gentle demeanor. In that moment, I felt a deep connection to the wonders of the underwater world and a profound appreciation for the diverse marine life that calls the Philippines home. 🌊💙
Water In The Hole
Hinagdanan Cave - in the island of Panglao in Bohol is one of the must visit when you visit the beautiful island. You can join a group tour or hire a local motorcycle to take you there. The cost is less tah $10 per person. Hinagdanan is a small cave with cold crystal clear water where you can get to enjoy swimming during the hot day. You may get to meet new friends, and enjoy playing games while in the water. Enjoy the cave surroundings ans listen to fruitbats residing in the dark sides of the cave. The place have lifeguards that keep an eye on everyone. They have lifejackets available for those who are non-swimmers. The cold-temperate water is awesome to dip in. After spending a couple of hours there, you may enjoy a halo-halo (local ice shave) in young coconuts before heading back to your hotel or proceeding to the beach.
🏖️PANGLAO ISLAND🇵🇭
🧉🌎From Siqiuijor to Panglao islan with Jet set boat🚤 and price was 💲650Php.⏲️ It will leave island at 8:20am and arrive at Tagbilaran port around 10;15am. 🚖Don't take jeepnes or taxy right there, they will charge you a lot. Walk 5 min to exit of port station and you will find more tryciles or motors to drive you with cheaper price. I took trycile to jeepnees station (10min, less than 2km) 20Php and than jepnee to Panglao 40Php (30 min ride).
📍 Located just off Bohol Island🇵🇭 (the Philippines' largest), Panglao is home to pristine beaches and luxurious hotels🏖️. Panglao is very accessible to other natural wonders of Bohol such as the Chocolate Hills, the countless springs, rivers, falls and caves and the ever cute tarsier, the smallest primate in the world.
🛵🛵Rent a scooter and explore the island at your own. It will lead you to many unexpected spots on Panglao and Bohol. It will depend on your route but here are a few examples.
Day 1: explore Panglao island: 🛵🛵
🏖️🏖️My favorite beach is Alona Beach. You can find plenty 🍻🍹bars or a shop around the beach and at evening it’s full of entertainment. La familia Italian restaurant is great place to have lunch/dinner. Or if you want eat at the Alona beach I would recommend Pyramid restaurant. During the day make sure to check Panglao Watchtower and⛪ St. Augustine Parish Church,🏖️ Doljo beach, 🏖️Panglao Beach (no bars), Hinagdanan Cave, Bee farm.
Day 2: Bohol Island🛵🛵
Chocolate Hills, Butterfly farm, Tarsier sanctuary, Man made forest, on the way back you can also see a Shiphouse, Saint James Church..
There are so many beautiful Bohol tourist spots, destinations and adventurous activities to enjoy that you can spend an entire week, I have stayed for 4 days.
