The island is a botanical wonderland, with stunning gardens and lush landscapes that make it feel like a secret haven. 🌸 The entrance to the gardens is included with the ferry ticket, so no extra fees once you’re on the island. The highlight was the Italian Gardens, with their beautiful pathways and serene ponds. 🌺 The views of the surrounding waters and mountains are breathtaking. Weekend short trip to Cork, Ireland. Just to share some of my the place that I have visited and the restaurants that I love. During the trip, we visited Cork City Gaol. A former prison turned museum, Cork City Gaol offers a fascinating glimpse into Ireland’s penal history. We explored cells, learned about famous inmates, and see exhibitions about life in the 19th and early 20th centuries. 💰 €10 📍Convent Ave, Sunday's Well, Cork, T23 VX25 We also visited St. Anne's Church (Shandon Bells). We also climbed to the tower of St. Anne's Church to ring the famous Shandon Bells and enjoyed panoramic views of Cork City. 💰€5 📍Church Street, Shandon, Cork, T23 HV58 We also went to the Farmgate Café. It is located in the historic English Market, Farmgate Café which is known for its traditional Irish dishes using local ingredients. We tried the Irish stew and their famous lamb pie. 📍The English Market, Princes St, Centre, Cork, T12 NC8Y We also visited Elizabeth Fort. A 17th-century star fort. It offers a unique look at Cork’s military history. We walked along the walls and enjoy views of the city. 💰 Free 📍Barrack St, The Lough, Cork, T12 C8A0 We also walked around The Butter Museum. This small museum tells the story of Ireland's butter-making industry, once a vital part of Cork's economy. 💰 €5 📍O'Connell Square, Shandon, Cork, T23 RY26 If you’re looking for a restaurant for dinner, you can try out the Market Lane. A popular restaurant offering a modern take on traditional Irish cuisine with a focus on fresh, local produce. Cobh Visit Titanic Experience

Cobh is a town in Ireland, on an island in Cork city’s harbour. It’s known as the Titanic’s last port of call in 1912. Titanic Experience Cobh is a themed attraction in the former White Star Line ticket office.

I am in love with their bed!!

It’s the best I’ve ever slept on. So in love, I had to investigate to find out who makes their bed: it’s by the natural sleep company. I slept deliciously and I will now get a bed like that for my home. The employees were quite kind and helpful too. Clearly, from the bed alone, they invest in quality. It’s a gorgeous building and exquisitely maintained with a magnificent old world charm. I hope this gem lasts for ages and doesn’t succumb to the boring, overly modern, cookie cutter trope a lot of hotels have fallen into. I will return for sure.

Blarney Castle & Gardens 🗺️

#2024wish Blarney Castle & Gardens is pure Irish magic. 🍀💚 Paying the €18 entrance fee seemed like such a small price to pay for all that magic inside. The castle nestles in the green countryside of Cork – Ireland, a symbol and sign of history and legends. Kissing the Blarney Stone was definitely a highlight of the day, and charming castle grounds made it even more attractive. 🏰💋 Climbing the stone steps, I admired panoramic views from the castle top. Below lay the Blarney Gardens, a mosaic of colors that opened up to reveal the Poison Garden and peaceful Rock Close as well as Wishing Steps. 🌺🌿 But the delights of Badger Cave and Fairy Glade took me into a world of whimsy. The carefully made sculptures and mystical feeling of the Rock Close almost seemed like I just walked into an Irish legend. 🧚♂️🍃 18 euros included entrance to Blarney House, a masterpiece of Jacobean architecture in which room after room echoed with its captivating stories. That mixture of history, art and nature was worth the price. 🏡🎨 Across the way, Blarney Woolen Mills enticed with its Irish treasures just a stone’s throw away. From comfortable sweaters to handmade crafts, it is a paradise for shoppers. Nearby Muskerry Arms provided a hearty Irish welcome along with wholesome meals for day’s end. 🛍️🍲 Trekking a little more, the Jameson Distillery in Midleton turned out to be perfect whiskey journey. There is a saying: it will be the future capital. Cork is charming because of its beautiful environment, attracting tourists from all over the world. Cork has University of Cork, ranked 3rd/4th nationally, and 298th in the global QS ranking (2023). So, you will see many Chinese faces. Cork has an airport, and it only takes an hour and a half to fly directly to London. Mainland tourists usually first arrive in the capital Dublin, and then take a bus or train for three and a half hours to reach Cork. No matter what kind of transportation, the time consumed is almost the same, and the environment is beautiful. There are also many Chinese restaurants in Cork city or surrounding towns, so you don't have to worry about being unfamiliar with the place. I’ve been battling a rare terminal cancer for the last couple years. and unfortunately my doctor has told me that I have maybe 6 months to live. so this would be amazing if definitely make another great memory with my family!

Horrible stay

The rooms are very noisy and not clean. It was not a pleasant stay at this hotel. Do not let fool you by the price it is not worth staying at this hotel. The pictures of the rooms next to us give you an impression of the work in progress. We woke up at 8 o clock with noise of workmen in the room next to ours. Also in the building next to the hotel they were works in progress. They gaves as a refund of the breakfast for the value of 16 euro’s on the price of 140 euro. We do not recommend this hotel to anyone. For the price of 140 euro you can find another hotel for this price in the city with more facilities
