The Barefoot Cafe is a beautiful courtyard hidden in the tourist heart of Colombo. It’s got such a chilled out vibe: people chatting, enjoying lunch, coffee or cocktails, and a lovely mix of ages and nationalities. All the food was prepared to a very high standard and the staff, although busy, were unfailingly friendly and helpful. The food is tasty and well-prepared. I tried the Oreo shake and KitKat shake; they are absolutely good and worth it. I've tried different shops for these shakes, but none of them are as good. The only downside is that this place is too hot with no air conditioning.

The Old Parliament Building, is the building that houses the Presidential Secretariat of Sri Lanka. Situated in the Colombo fort area facing the sea, it is in close proximity to the President's House, Colombo and adjacent to the General Treasury Building. The building housed the island's legislature for 53 years until the new parliamentary complex was opened at Sri Jayawardenepura in 1983.
