I visited Casa Madero winery in Coahuila, the oldest winery in Mexico, and I was amazed by its beauty and charm. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, and he explained the history and process of wine making in this place. I learned that the winery dates back to 1594 and that the grapes are a mix of Mexican and European varieties. I also got to see the grape crush happening and the barrels where the wine is aged. The tour ended with a wine tasting, where I sampled some of their products. 🚙 ✈
I especially liked the Casa Madero 3V, a red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Tempranillo. It was smooth and fruity, with a hint of oak. The winery also has a beautiful hacienda where you can stay overnight or host events. 🍷 🍇
The grounds are green and lush, and the architecture is colonial and elegant. The staff was very attentive and courteous, and they made me feel at home. I had a delicious dinner at their restaurant, where they served local dishes paired with their wines. I also enjoyed watching the sunset and the night sky from the terrace. It was a magical experience that I will never forget. Casa Madero winery is a must-see attraction if you are in Coahuila or nearby. It is a place where you can learn, relax, and enjoy the best of Mexican wine culture
