I've been to Qiandao Lake 7 times, each time full of surprises~ This Christmas we're back again, having pre-booked the super popular 🔥 Christmas dinner at Minghao International Hotel for a unique holiday.
The atmosphere of this Christmas dinner was amazing 🤩, from Santa Claus, cello performances in front of the snow house to greet guests, to the ubiquitous Christmas 🧑🎄 decorations and band performances 🎶, every detail exuded warmth and joy, and my teammate even won a prize, super lucky haha 🎉
The food can be said to be a real experience of the best 👍 sashimi, Roche shrimp, abalone, snow crab legs, pipa shrimp... steaming hot pot for the holiday atmosphere 🆙 There's also Buddha jumps over the wall, garlic oysters, Christmas turkey... too many styles, can't eat it all 🤣 Mountain mango, strawberry, pineapple, jackfruit in rotation, and the kids' ❤️ delicate desserts, the rumored five-star ⭐️ taste feast is indeed well-deserved, in short, the highest realm of buffet - I managed to leave leaning on the wall.

Thousand Island Lake Scenic Area, as the oldest resort in Zhejiang, has many different ways to play, and tourists of all ages and travel purposes can find suitable ways to play here. First, classic boat sightseeing:
The boat sightseeing of Thousand Island Lake is divided into two routes: the central lake area and the southeast lake area. The central lake area has more tourists and better self-funded entertainment projects on the island; the southeast lake area is relatively quieter and has better natural scenery. There used to be three routes in the southeast lake area, but when I went there were only two, which were 9:30-10:30 in the morning (Guihua Island, Tianchi Island and Huangshan Tip, about 6 hours in actual measurement), and 12:00-13:00 at noon (Tianchi Island and Huangshan Tip, about 4 hours). The place where the story of the three monks had no water to drink, Mingshan Island, is now closed. The central lake area should still retain three routes, which are 8:00-9:50 (Meifeng Island, Yule Island and Longshan Island, about 6 hours), 10:00-11:50 (Meifeng Island, Yule Island and Moonlight Island, about 6 hours), 12:00-13:00 (Meifeng Island and Moonlight Island, about 4 hours). Many people do not understand this time interval very well. To give an example, the meaning of 9:30-10:30 in the southeast lake area is that starting from 9:30, as long as a boat is full, it can set sail. The ticket sales time will end at 10:30, and the last boat will leave at 10:40 regardless of the number of people. In winter, basically the boat sightseeing is close to sunset time when you come back, and there may be some time to buy coffee. There are many places to watch the sunset in Thousand Island Lake. The most popular sunset viewing spot in the city is Tianyu Mountain, with a ticket price of 50 yuan, an uphill escalator of 25 yuan, and a downhill bus of 10 yuan. In addition, there used to be a small road for hiking up the mountain, but now it has been changed to an escalator and is not allowed to walk (except for locals). If you want to walk, you can only walk on the road. I personally recommend the sunset viewing spot is the Fangfei Hidden Pearl Park on the lakeside of the road opposite the gate of Tianyu Mountain. Not many people know about this place, and there is no need to grab a spot. You can also sit on the steps and slowly watch the sun set in the lake. Incomparable, stars holding the moon, Qiandao Lake Anlu
Qiandao Lake is a nationally renowned holiday resort with numerous hotels and a plethora of domestic and international high-end brands. However, the most expensive and high-end hotel in Qiandao Lake is not in the main city area, but on a lakeside peninsula near Wenyuan Lion City in the northwest direction more than 40 kilometers away from the main city.
Anlu occupies the corners of two peninsulas, where the guest rooms are located on the larger peninsula that looks like the Westeros continent when viewed from the air. The rooms are made up of villas, with a yard on one side planted with bamboo or red maple leaves, a large bed inside the house leaning against a large window, long bamboo outside the window, and the green color is full when the sunlight comes through. The large balcony on the other side is close to the lake, facing the sunrise and the starry night sky.
The best hotel I have ever stayed in is probably the Niji No Ya in Japan. Now I feel that here is very similar to there, full of regional customs. The other side of the guest room is a SPA and an infinity pool. The pool is like a pearl inlaid between the mountains and rivers, and it is very photogenic. Of course, you can also take the hotel's yacht to the private heart-shaped island under the hotel's jurisdiction for photos.
Anlu is not like those bustling resorts, it is quiet and comfortable here, lying quietly is the best choice.

1. Cable Car Crossing: The cable car ride is half an hour long, with great views all the way, especially when you're halfway through, you can see the beautiful scenery of Thousand Island Lake.
Friendly reminder: Don't forget to take pictures after the second cable car ride, it's really beautiful!
2. Sky Island: The bottom is all glass, a viewing platform at an altitude of over 800 meters. Here, you can see the real 'drone view', overlooking the entire beauty of Thousand Island Lake.
3. Sky Walk: This is a challenging and exciting project, a colorful single-plank bridge encircles the outside of the viewing platform. Walking on it, it's like stepping in the sky, if you're brave, you'll love it.
4. Super Skateboard: The nearly 5 km long skateboard slides from the top of the mountain to the foot, the bends along the way make you feel like you're driving a crazy car, it's a very suitable experience for the brave.
✨Some tips for playing
1. The whole park takes about 3 hours to play. In addition to the attractions, you can also take pictures of the 'thousand islands and mountains' at the top of the mountain.
2. The park is built on the mountain of Thousand Island Lake, the first cable car ride is quite long, the mountain is really high, but the scenery along the way is excellent
3. After the first cable car ride, don't rush to the second one, play the rainbow slide first, save the super skateboard for the return trip
4. The second cable car reaches a higher peak at an altitude of over 800 meters, the high-altitude attractions are already very exciting, it's a real 'thrill adventure park', Sky Island, Sky Walk, High Flying, Glass Slide are all here

7. There are no restaurants in the park, so you need to bring your own food, or eat at a small restaurant at the entrance, the average cost is 205. The park stops admitting visitors at 15:30, so be aware of the time

8. The temperature on the mountain is a bit low, you can bring a thin jacket
9. The skateboard requires visitors over 14 years old to play, multiple people are not allowed to ride
Thousand Island Lake One Day Tour Guide
This is how I spent my last day at Thousand Island Lake in Hangzhou.
In the morning, I went to the Hilton Hotel to take a speedboat to Huangshan Tip, the business card of Thousand Island Lake. The boat ride took about ten minutes, and then I took a cable car to the top of the mountain viewing platform, where I stayed for about an hour.
LS: There are several viewing platforms on the top of the mountain, each with a beautiful shooting angle. You can overlook the panorama, and both portraits and landscapes are beautiful.
At noon, I went to the Fish Lane, recommended by locals, for lunch. This is a very famous fish restaurant in Thousand Island Lake, and the taste is very good.
In the afternoon, I rented a mountain bike and rode to the Shangjiangbu Bridge. The autumn is high and the forest is dyed. Riding along the lake gives a sense of freedom.
Then watch the sunset on the bridge, the location is just right, the aerial photography is superb, a bridge flies across the north and south, and the moat becomes a thoroughfare.
After watching the sunset, I returned the bike and then went to Chunyu Story for dinner. This is also a very famous fish restaurant recommended by locals, and one of the dishes has made the list of Zhejiang Province's gourmet list.

The digital bee exhibition in Thousand Island Lake is definitely worth visiting. 🐝 The experience includes a tutorial about bees and the structure of the hive they live in. The guides then show you the hives and how honey is made. One of the many things to do at Thousand Island Lake includes hiking. We did a 3k hike in the centre of the city that is specifically designed for tourists so that they can have a good hiking experience and see parts of the area from a good view point. You can see the different types of farming that is being undertaken in the area as well as the terracing techniques. Getting There -
By highspeed train 1:50 hours from Shanghai
There are two train stations close by: Qiandaohu (photo 6&7) and Jiande. The first one is closer to the lake about 23 km. From there you can either take a shuttle bus to all mayor hotels for CNY 15 or a taxi for CNY 50-70. When you book a hotel be careful where it is . Some locations are remote and there is not much around or you are in the middle of Chun’an (photo 3-5)- a small town where are parks, restaurants, shops but also some traffic.

koala watersport club is the new club of watersport in Chun’an county. I’m tried stand up paddle board and take 4 hours to go around the lake and it’s so much fun .
koala watersport club also serve you with a lot of kind of watersport, sailing , water jet ski , kayak, water bicycle, and stand up paddle board .
the price it’s range 70rmb-120rmb / hour which is it’s not that expensive for this great watersport club .
from qiandaohu train station it’s take 1 hour to get there . you can take shuttle bus or public bus . but for more convenient I’m suggest you to take taxi or rent a car . #watersports #awesomepic #summervacation #chinatravel
Voco - stylish luxury hotel at 千岛湖🇨🇳
When I reserved this hotel I hoped it will be what is was promised to be. However it was far above my expectations. We got a free room upgrading (photo 3-5) to a lake view room with balcony and the view is just gorgeous (photo 19). Having the member card I also got free use of the minibar (photo 6), a welcome gift for our baby and a glass of wine (photo 12) which I took on the terrace with this great view. Later they brought us fruits (photo 10) and sweets (photo 1).
They also provide a shuttle to the hotel entrance.
The breakfast selection is wide (photo 17-19) and we also had a delicious dinner at the restaurant (photo 14-16)
No wonder this Voco hotel is amongst the top scenic hotels in Hangzhou! A wonderful place to relax!

Unforgettable stay at Qiandao Lake 千岛湖🇨🇳
I booked a 110m2 Family Friendly Suite with garden view and was surprised that there was also a partial view of the lake (photo 6) The room consists of a main bedroom with king size bed (photo 2) and a living room with sofa, dining table with 4 chairs, a kitchen and a single bed (photo 3). The bathroom has a shower and bathtub (photo 4) The room is also great for kids (photo 5&7) and our baby was happy.
Since there are are 5 blocks there is a shuttle (photo 9)
The breakfast is delicious and also the bakeries and coffee are good (photo 12-14) You can sit inside or outside on a covered terrace.
Nearby there are several restaurants and a supermarket!
All in all a 5* resort I will stay again next time!

Thousand Island Lake
Thousand Island Lake is situated close to Hangzhou and most easily accessible through private car or a tour (like we did). Around the lake, there are multiple activities to get involved in such as kayaking and cycling which is easy to source.
We stayed in a lodge close to the lake which was modern with nice views. The lodge was able to organises some of the activities for us alongside other more relaxing activities such as indoor swimming #mountainview #nature #travelchina
