Solo Tour@Harbin Chinese Baroque District
#SoloTravel
Harbin is a city that is suitable for city walks and solo travel. In addition to Central Street and St. Sophia Cathedral, this time we came to the Chinese Baroque Historical and Cultural Protection District for a stroll! !
It turns out that this is one of the ten historical and cultural protection blocks in Harbin. It is the birthplace of Harbin's national industry and commerce. The Chinese Baroque architectural complex in the block is the largest and best-preserved Chinese Baroque architectural complex in China😝.
"Chinese Baroque" is simply a Chinese Baroque architecture. Its main features are: the side facade facing the street is in Baroque style, while the local decorative patterns are taken from traditional Chinese cultural elements of blessing, such as pomegranates and grapes symbolizing fertility, bats, peonies, ruyi, copper coins, curling grass, etc., which express the meaning of blessing, wealth, longevity and auspiciousness. The space behind the facade is a typical Chinese quadrangle, with a traditional ethnic layout and functions. This kind of "shop in front and house in the back", quadrangle-style residential and commercial architecture is called "Chinese Baroque", which is a combination of Chinese and Western architectural styles.
Walking alone in the neighborhood, I felt like I was back in time, as if I was back in the movie scene. Many people came to check in and take photos📷.
If you like Baroque architecture, don’t miss it. You can spend half a day strolling around.
