Doi Langka Noi
Leaving Chiang Mai, take the Chiang Mai-Doi Saket-Chiang Rai road (No. 118), then turn right to Tambon Thep Sadet, famous for its coffee plantations. Our final destination is Doi Langka Noi, which is 1,600 meters above sea level, and there are several routes (about 3 routes). Today, we will take a route through the village’s coffee plantations, cutting across the mountain ridge to Doi Langka Noi (about 5 kilometers). On the way down, we will go around Langka Noi along the edge and follow the river that flows through the forest, ending at Wat Kamphaeng Hin, about (7 kilometers). Almost half of the route will pass through the coffee plantations and the Mae Ton River several times. It allows us to see the relationship between the forest, the river, the coffee trees and the forest caretakers, which are connected to form a very large natural network. The ecosystem is very good… It makes us smile all the time on this route… Because the people of Thep Sadet cherish and protect this forest, it is rich and brings about the headwaters of the Mae Kuang River that flows to nourish the lives of the people below. Doi Saket District, San Sai District, San Kamphaeng District and Mueang Lamphun District, then flowing into the Ping River in Pa Sang. The pure water from the source on the top of these mountains seeps into the soil on the high mountains that are gradually descending, adding minerals to help restore the forest and providing moisture to the coffee trees that the villagers grow. It makes Thepsadet's coffee taste good because the soil and water are fertile. This is the cycle of life that cycles into a cycle of abundance that we can feel today. I am glad to see people and the forest living together in harmony. #fog in the rainy season
