is located in the Cheongju Mural Village. The entire decor is inspired by Jeju Island's orange orchards and stone walls, creating an incredibly cute environment. There are also many props available for taking photos, and the drinks are very delicious. The cafe is situated on the third floor of a certain building, which might be a bit difficult to find, but it's definitely worth the visit. In fact, from the moment we entered until we left, we were the only customers there. The atmosphere is serene and adorable, making it highly recommended!

My experience walking the 'Metasequoia' road in Cheongnamdae was very peaceful and enjoyable. Cheongju Zoo

#koreatrip We visited on a weekend and entry costs were very minimal (1,000 won adults) which means it’s probably state subsidised which is a good thing. Large cats enclosures were a bit small, in my opinion, and could have had a more natural touch n increased size. There is a small refreshments area for drinks n snacks n the ever present n necessary souvenir shops. Do check the weather prior to visitation as one would need to walk the zoo as there are no trams or other transportation within its premises. With good weather it’ll be a nice quiet visit to stay in touch with nature and all its creatures as the landscaping is very nice, green n peaceful. Recommended to prep at least 2-3 hours to leisurely tour this little zoo.

🦉Owl Picnic🧺 I had been hoping for a picnic spot like this in Cheongju, and finally, it has opened! I immediately went to the Owl Picnic, and it was so much fun! You can bring your pets, and my baby and I had a blast playing around. The spacious grass field is perfect for running around, and there are camping tables, chairs, and picnic supplies available for outdoor enjoyment. If it gets too hot, you can rest in the cabin with air conditioning and recharge your energy. When you're ready, you can have a lively second round on the grass field above. There's even a bonfire zone for evening time, perfect for roasting marshmallows and enjoying the sunset. You can choose between two spaces, the White House and the Tree House. We went to the White House, where daisies were blooming. #BeautifulCafe I fell in love with this cafe at first sight when I visited it last year. I eagerly waited for the daisies to bloom this year and rushed to visit the Cheongju cafe, Toseong Village, as soon as I heard the news of its blooming. Although it has bloomed a lot over the weekend, it is only about 70% bloomed, so it is not as rich as the photos I posted last year, but it is still so beautiful. The blooming period is long, and it is not fully bloomed yet, so it seems like it will be pretty from this week to next week 🤍 The main cafe space has been expanded more than last year, so even if you can't sit in the cabin, it looked so good to take pictures while using the cafe. The bakery items have also increased significantly compared to last year, and we ate two types of bread and six salt breads while sitting down 😂 I changed my photo shooting style, so it was difficult to adjust the color of the photos this time. This is already my second visit to this restaurant Geumyong, a Chinese restaurant located in Naedeok-dong! Geumyong is famous for its Doljjajang and Beet Tangsuyuk, and I like to bring my parents here, so I visited with them both times. A Cut Steakhouse was previously awarded the MICHELIN Plate recommendation before being promoted to One Star this year. This is one chic restaurant that’s unique at the same time as diners can watch premium cuts of beef from the US and Australia being prepared in an open kitchen. And not to mention, its superb wine list that comes enclosed in glitzy walls of wine cabinets. The steak was tender and juicy, very good quality beef. The portion of the salad and dessert was good for sharing with others. The service was wonderful. The experience was very good to me. The style, service and the quality of food are pretty much the same level with Ruth's Chris Steak House to me. Oh, and the price as well. #seafoodfeast

The Korean-style building was very beautiful✨. I ordered donuts with kinako flavor and strawberry flavor🍩. Taking the bus to Sangdang Mountain Fortress, you need to climb a small slope to reach it. From a distance, you can see the South Gate, which is also a popular filming location for many movies. The entire mountain fortress is very large, and the pavilions and gates are brightly colored. I recommend taking photos from the gate's entrance for stunning pictures. Many people also come here for hiking. We only visited the gate and then left, but if you have time, you should explore the entire area. It looks quite vast!

Traveling to Seoul via Cheongju

I found a cheap ticket from Kansai Airport to Cheongju, so I decided to go to Seoul via Cheongju Airport for the first time. Cheongju International Airport was surprisingly compact, and it took only about 10 minutes to get outside after getting off the plane (without checked baggage). From here, I took an express bus to Seoul. Since it was the weekend, I was glad I bought the ticket in advance! It was fully booked on the day. There was a bit of traffic, so it took about an hour and a half to get to the Seoul Express Bus Terminal, but the comfortable seats allowed me to sleep during the trip, making it very easy and comfortable. This time, I also considered taking the train, but since it takes 10 minutes to walk from the airport to the station, I chose the bus. I had some waiting time at the airport, so I went to see the station. It had the atmosphere of an unmanned station that you see in dramas, and I took a picture as a train arrived. If I have the chance, I would like to stay in Cheongju next time.
