2024 Champasak Province Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in November)
It was indeed chasing waterfalls
Another waterfall on the Bolaven Plateau is Tad Yuang Falls, often written Tad Gneuang. It is located 10 kilometers west of Paksong and two kilometers east of the Tad Fan Falls. The falls are smaller than Tad Fan and plunge 40 meters into a pool. Unlike Tad Fan, however, swimming in the pools above and below the falls is feasible, though caution should be exercised due to strong currents.
At the top, middle, and bottom of the gorge, there is a trail with several lookouts. A picnic spot is located at the top of the falls, and a small coffee plantation may be explored nearby. Tad Yuang's entrance is becoming more developed, including some restaurants and businesses.

Tad Yuang, Laos
Tad Yuang Waterfall, the word 'Yuang' means 'Serow', so the name means 'Serow Waterfall'. It is another beautiful waterfall in Laos, not far from Tad Fane Waterfall. This is a large waterfall where the water flows from the mountain above down a cliff about 80 meters high, creating a strong flow that turns into white mist. Tad Yuang is different from Tad Fane in that you can visit and get close to the waterfall.
In addition, in front of the entrance to the waterfall, there are restaurants and souvenir shops where you can enjoy meals and shopping.
Pakse
Pakse, a charming small town located in southern Laos, serves as the tourism hub of Champasak Province and the gateway to the stunning natural adventures in southern Laos. The town boasts a serene atmosphere and seamlessly blends traditional lifestyles with modernity.
Another highlight from Pakse is visiting the beautiful waterfalls, such as Tad Fane and Tad Yuang Waterfalls. Tad Fane Waterfall stands out with its impressive height and is surrounded by lush rainforest. Tad Yuang Waterfall, on the other hand, offers walkways for close-up views, making it perfect for photography and relaxation.

Majestic twin waterfall
The Champee and Pak Koot rivers run down from the plateau and meet here to form the Tad Fane Waterfall, which drops 120 meters. The true beauty of this waterfall comes from its two water branches that split as they flow over the cliffs. A seemingly infinite flow of water is formed, and if the wind is blowing, magnificent rainbows are created by the mist sprays. Visitors can take guided walks through the coffee farms and woodlands, or sit and enjoy the scenery from surrounding resorts. This natural tourism attraction is located in Ban Lak 38 Village, within the Dong Hua Sao National Protected Area (NPA) (KM 38). I personally know that when you get to see it in person you will definitely get stunned by its beauty!

Cycling around Pakse, you will encounter many beautiful waterfalls. The Qingdao Waterfall is located between a natural jungle and the environment is very pleasant. On weekdays, the water flow is not very urgent. There are not many tourists coming to visit. You can enjoy a comfortable cold bath in it.
Bicycle in the suburbs of Pakse, you can feel the juice Original Laotian country style. Street vendors selling fruits, sleeping young children, and quaint monasteries constitute beautiful pastoral songs.
