Exciting times, because most restaurants come alive like the budding flowers and introduce beautiful Spring menus that are to die for. 😍 Stoep is no exception! We visited the Inverdoorn Game Lodge, located 3 hours outside of Cape Town. The property is small but offers lovely rooms and mini chalets for guests. The rooms was comfortable and exactly what we needed. The food is cooked daily and offers a variety of food that represents the various cultural and ethnic groups of the Western Cape. The highlight of our trip we’re the game drives in the morning and evenings. We were able to see cheetahs, lions, elephants, rhinos, springbok, and so much more. Many of these animals are in the process of being rehabilitated for release into the wile. Conservation and respect for nature is a core tenant to this wonderful lodge. Our game driver, Kevin, was the highlight for us. He was super knowledgeable about the animals and shared many insights into the conservation process. #safari #Inverdoorn #westerncape

Spring in South Africa is marvelous and the weather of really nice. If you are planning to stay at Kagga Kamma Nature reserve you can do wonderful hiking there. Just ask the reception and they will give you a hiking map with a route you wan, easier one or more difficult one. All the routes are marked with corresponding colored arrows in the stones and this looks like a real adventure where you need to follow the signs and explore the area with the paper map! #springwander

Kagga Kamma is a hidden gem in South Africa. It’s located separately in the nature place full of beautiful plans and animals. Although the place is not easily accessible (you need to drive from Cape Town and part of the road is grave road) but once you reach the place you will be admired. We stayed in different rooms and one of them was hat house surrounded by grass and yellow flowers and the sunrise and sunset were really spectacular. You need to go there if you are a nature lover. #springwander

#celebrateit Natural Reserve Kagga Kamma has 3 hiking routes and if you want to explore them, just ask the map at the reception. Then you will find the sign where the hiking routes starts, but don’t forget to wear comfy shoes, have enough drinking water and sun cream with you. After that the show begins. You need to follow the arrows of the color depending on your route chosen and you will find the most beautiful places in this area. I truly enjoyed it.

[Joyful] Starting from Cape Town and heading east, it takes about 2 hours of self-driving to reach the treasure land where you can watch wild animals in the mountains - Aquila Private Game Reserve & Spa. The scenery along the way is super beautiful. The pristine Southern Karoo Highlands are picturesque, with rolling mountains, vines on both sides of the road, and many trees with purple flowers. It is super dreamy. [Joyful] When we arrived in Aquila, we had a welcome drink. The mountain huts here are mainly built with rocks, thatch and wood, blending in with the surrounding natural mountain scenery. The decoration in the house is mainly natural and environmentally friendly linen, and the bathroom is decorated with rocks. Some huts are also equipped with open-air rock showers. [Joyful] The one-day animal watching tour includes a dinner buffet and a breakfast buffet on the second day. The chef in the main restaurant specializes in making a variety of delicious and authentic South African food. [Joyful] There are safari activities every afternoon and the next morning, each lasting about an hour. I used to think that safaris in Africa were all on the savannah, but this time I realized that you can also see all kinds of wild animals in the mountains. It feels magical. The five largest animals in Africa are gathered here: giraffes, elephants, lions, rhinos, hippos and various zebras and antelopes. [Joyful] At night, there is a special wooden viewing platform next to the hotel's swimming pool. There is a blazing log fire in the middle. Everyone can roast the fire and watch the stars here, which is very romantic. [Joyful] Before leaving the next day, you can try Aquila's newly built African Spa, which has 2 large indoor heated swimming pools. The African drumstick massage is very interesting. It uses small wooden drumsticks and essential oils for massage, which feels very relaxing.

🧹Soundproofing/Hygiene: The hotel is located in a very primitive wildlife sanctuary. Initially, I had no expectations for the hotel's conditions, but the facilities are actually on par with five-star hotels; 🏘️️️Room Type/Layout: I stayed in a suite with a small garden at the entrance and a pool exclusive to the suite area, offering a view of the distant mountains. There are also sofa seats on the roof of the room. Sitting here and looking down, the pool blends seamlessly with the distant natural scenery, creating a truly beautiful picture; 🛌Supplies/Facilities: The bedding in the room is very comfortable, equipped with a bathtub and double sinks. Having hot bath water in such a remote place is definitely a great experience after coming back from watching animals; 💰️Per Capita Consumption: This room type seems to be called the Commander Suite. The per capita consumption varies slightly depending on the activities chosen, generally around 1000 per person; 💗Other Tips: The temperature difference between morning and evening is quite large, so it is recommended to bring a light down jacket and some items to prevent mosquito bites. If you have a telephoto camera, be sure to bring it, and a wide-angle lens is also very useful because you can see beautiful starry skies at night; We will continue to share in the next post.

Boschendal is the second oldest winery established in Cape Town area from the Dutch colony in 1685. The location and scenery are absolutely stunning, the surrounding nature is so peaceful. This is a must do if you’re in South Africa! Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms. Located just outside Stellenbosch it’s the perfect family day out. There’s plenty to do and see and they offer a wide range of workshops and activities. The also offer a wine tasting experience with some of their award winning Tickets are R80 and you can use them for an entire year.

#summerbreak Babylon is a very nice vineyard on the orange line of the South African wine tour. This particular vineyard is very big and they do very nice food platters to share. You can take a tour of the extensive grounds, and also their wine cellar, where they teach you about the craft of making the wine. All around the vineyard there are signs and information about the wines which is very interesting and they do great platters to share. If you go on a wine tour, I would recommend spending a bit more time at this particular vineyard as there is more to see/do here #mytripvlog #urbanexplorer

The breathtaking scenery of southern South Africa is not limited to the majestic Table Mountain and the stunning beaches, but the wilderness of the Aqiula Nature Reserve has a different landscape. There is no such thing as the Kruger National Park that Huang Wei went to a few days ago, but the pure and leisurely wildlife adventure can also experience the wildness of the African Five.
