A lovely weekend destination
I enjoyed a nice weekend staying in bristol's old city. While there were no raving feedbacks from people who had previously considered bristol for weekends. I thought my time was well spent and the city worked for me. Especially from the perspective of a weekend getaway. It allowed for a decent mix of different things.
Iw as put up in the old city because iIstick with older parts of town and I'm into heritage. But otherwise too it think in case of Bristol the best backpacker options are here. So depending on your budget you may pick a place. There is stoke croft which has very good and decently priced backpacker options too. Other than that you have southville and Clifton too. Places that i visited during the weekend break and were nice.
As for things to too, I would highly recommend a walking tour. It was a great way to get to know so much about a place and get insights from a local guide. Also, the Bansy trail that is part of some walking tours is super fun. There's a good mix of heritage, churches, harbor and landmarks like the cliffton suspension bridge to explore. It would allow come down to what sort of traveller you are what preferences. But Bristol's definitely worth trying.

Bristol Harbour Festival
Bristol is an amazing city and I want to come back every year for the Harbour Festival! The Harbour is surrounded by excellent shops, bars, and restaurants, and is close to some of the city’s best hotels. The Harbour Festival is a multi-day annual event with excellent street feed, stalls, and entertainment. If you need a hotel, the Marriott near the harbour is exquisite! The excellent museums and other attractions of the city and harbourside are also well worthy of giving your time to.#bristol #instatravel #Harbour #england

Captivated by Bristol: A Five Star Adventure
I had the pleasure of visiting Bristol recently, and I must say, it left a lasting impression on me. Bristol is a city that effortlessly combines history, culture, and modernity, making it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to explore the United Kingdom.
The city's rich history is evident in its stunning architecture and historic landmarks. From the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge to the historic harborside, Bristol's past is beautifully preserved. I spent hours wandering through the streets, admiring the charming Georgian houses and vibrant street art that adds a unique character to the city.
Bristol is also a hub for creativity and culture. The street art scene, with works by the renowned artist Banksy, is a testament to the city's artistic spirit. The Bristol Museum and Art Gallery offered a fascinating glimpse into both local and international art.
In conclusion, Bristol exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you're a history buff, an art enthusiast, a food lover, or simply looking for a charming city to explore, Bristol has it all. I can't wait to return and discover even more of its hidden gems. Bristol, you've won my heart!

Bristol Park: A Hidden Gem
I can't say enough good things about this place. It's a serene oasis where you can escape the city hustle and reconnect with nature. The well-maintained walking trails are perfect for a peaceful stroll, and the playground keeps the kids entertained for hours.
What sets Bristol Park apart is its lush landscaping – it's like stepping into a botanical garden. There are plenty of benches to relax on and take in the beauty around you. 🌿🦜
Nature lovers, you're in for a treat! The park is teeming with birdlife, and there's a charming pond that adds to the tranquility. Kudos to the staff for keeping the place clean and inviting.

Clifton Suspension Bridge - Bristol, UK
This suspension bridge is built across the Avon Gorge, linking Clifton (Bristol) and Leigh Woods (North Somerset).
This suspension bridge is built and opened in 1864. The bridge deck is suspended by 162 vertical wrought-iron rods in 81 matching pairs.
It has been a venue for some significant events (e.g. handover venue of the Olympic Torch relay in 2012.)
To get here, take No 8 circular bus from Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station and alight at Clifton Village.
There’s a visitor centre located at the Leigh Woods side of the bridge.

Arty new year
Excellent and free city museum. The building itself is absolutely beautiful. A prime example of Victorian era architecture.
Set over several floors this has something for everyone. The fine arts collection is impressive with some notable artists on display which gives a sense of grandeur. The Japanese porcelain collection is worth a look too.
If you like history the Egyptian exhibition is excellent, informative and interesting. Quite impressive for a smaller UK city. There are also dinosaur fossils on display as well as a prehistoric section.
The standout has to the replica airplane hanging from the ceiling. Quite a sight!
A great way to spend an hour or two

Bristol Museum & Art Gallery
Bristol is the vibrant, but rich history city in South West England and Bristol Museum & Art Gallery is the place where art lovers would delight to visit. Just a few steps from University of Bristol, Bristol Museum & Art Gallery is located in the heart of the city. The size of the museum is presentable and spacious with different kinds of art collection including porcelain collections from China, Japan, Egyptian and the whole European continent. The stunning art painting collections are truly impressive and feature different ages and countries including Victorian, European and British Art, Eastern Asian and Modern and Contemporary Art. The museum also provides a lot of activities for families and kids who also definitely increase the sense of art for young children.

Bristol
This was my second time to visit this city. There is a long river in the middle of the city, and famous for the big bridge just a few minutes drive from the central. Compared to London, not too many people. But still you can find a lot of people from outside from the UK for work and study.

Historic and amazing
A truly astonishing building. Real history here and such a well preserved monument. Dating back to 1200 this former Medieval building has been restored and added to over the centuries.
It's free and open to the public and there is a lot of information available both in small plaques and in a booklet.
As you walk around you get a real sense of history and grandeur. There are many tombs here of notable figures and it's like walking in a graveyard. The architecture is stunning with huge arches and beautiful stained glass windows.
There are several chambers to explore and you're free to roam. Outside has a huge green which is popular for picnics.
Unfortunately the cafe is closed

Bristol. A great walkable city
Getting There - Bristol Temple Meads train station is connected to all major city in the UK
Attractions - Bristol Cathedral is an absolute must. Bristol national museum too. And you can walk around and check out the street art and Banksy murals. SS Great Britain is a must too. Bristol is a great walking city and they also have electric scooters you can rent via QR codes.
Food & Restaurants - It's a student city. Lots of great Asian restaurants, vegan food and independent restaurants. For coffee I suggest Bird & Blend and food Sandwich Sandwich
Shopping - All major stores are here but Bristol is a strong supporter of independent retailers. Walk around and see what catches your eye

Bristol Aquarium: disappointed 🥺
Location - 🧀🧀🧀
Anchor Road, Bristol BS1 5TT, United Kingdom
🐾 20 minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads station
Attractions - 🧀🧀
I was a bit disappointed by this aquarium. 🦞 There wasn’t a wide variety of animals to look at and at one point, saw a lobster (the kind we have in restaurants) on display! 🐠 Some areas were quite repetitive and the aquarium was a bit small. 🐡 However, there were a few sea creatures that I hadn’t seen before, which was interesting and a few areas that were quite beautiful (some of the pictures look better than it did in person though ).
Avg. Price per Person - 🧀🧀
£17.75 pp, which is a much for what we saw.
Rating - 🧀🧀
I always love looking at animals so I enjoyed the experience anyway, so it’s something to do if you have time to spare, but probably not something to plan and travel for.

Exploring the city of Bristol amazes me every time! Always something new and exciting to see. This time #vangogh experience came to Bristol on its tour. What an incredible exhibition - would definitely recommend 🌻. Bristol International Balloon Fiesta was back again for its annual night glow. I hadn’t been to this is years so was amazing to see the balloons all lit up again especially how in sync it was to the music track created by the organisers - the Alien hot air balloon was definitely a fun one! And of course we had to visit the seaside of Clevedon, going in the marine lake was one of the highlights of my stay!
Come to Bristol to see all of the amazing sites on offer!

Bristol, the largest city in the southwest of England, is the second city to appear on the land of the British Isles. It is the most traditional British building, the oldest port, and the most legendary city with historical relics. .
There is a great respect for religious belief in this city, and any legal religious requirements can be met. The culture of the city is diversified. There are people of different races, beliefs and skin colors. When foreigners walk on the streets of towns, there is no sense of ignorance and strangeness. In restaurants, you can taste the world. The city centre is the heart of the city. It is the bus terminal, where most of the city's buses depart, so you can reach any corner of the city by car.
Traveling in this city, it is best to ride a bicycle or take the old tram (The Tram), because it is like walking a rickshaw in old Beijing, the only way to get the most out of the city's ancient Charm.

💞Reasons to Recommend:
On July 19, 1843, by British engineer Ethanbad Goldham. The ship "SS Great Britain" designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel was built and launched in Bristol. It is the first steam ship across the Atlantic Ocean with a tin appearance and propeller-driven, and also The world's largest floating ship at that time not only highlighted Victorian industry and creativity, but also provided design standards for modern shipping.
After 1846, the "Britain" changed owners several times to become an immigration ship, fulfilling the immigration dreams of countless Europeans. It was known as a miracle in the history of British navigation and became one of the fastest, most elegant and most luxurious immigration ships at that time. After sailing more than 1 million miles and the iron hull withstanding the test of nearly a hundred years, the "Great Britain" was decommissioned in 1937. After several repairs, it was built as a museum ship, and her new mission began.
A ticket is required to board the SS Great Britain to visit the museum. The student ticket is 18 pounds/person, which is valid for one year. I didn't enter the boat to visit. If you are interested, you can go in and have a look. I heard that there are also dressing up and taking photos, which is quite interesting.
Walking all the way along the port, there are many cafes and snack bars along the way, some of which are converted from cruise ships docked on the shore, and Bristol Harbour cruises are also here. Strolling by the water, basking in the warm sun and blowing the wind, many people run in the morning, sitting on the roadside chatting with their families and friends, and many parents bring their children to play here, which is really very leisurely.
