All Moments About Basel-Stadt
A modern city with historical monuments
Basel is on the beautiful Rhine river. It’s a mix of modern city and rich of cultural heritage. The beautiful town hall which is still in use today is opened for public entry. Once you entered the main gate, you’ll be surprised by the decoration outside the wall.
There’re also many world class museums here. Every year, there’re museum nights, where the admission is free and the museums are opened overnight!
The transport is very convenient and efficient too!

[Switzerland] Basel St. Alban Old Town: Medieval Architecture, Feel the Medieval Atmosphere!
St. Alban Old Town is a place of great historical significance, but is often overlooked. There are several historical architectural monuments nearby. I recommend visiting! If you are interested in medieval architecture, I recommend taking a walk around "Dalbenloch", west of the city walls. Here you can really feel the medieval atmosphere and feel like you have traveled to the Middle Ages, everything is very clean and well maintained. Worth recommending to visit!

A small city with, but rich in history
I had the pleasure of being in Basel, Switzerland a couple of months back, and the city is an outdoor Museum, to say the least.
The mix and prevalence of Roman, Italian, French, and German influences are present in every building and monument, yet everything feels in place and works in synchronization to create something that is uniquely Swiss and Basel.
When visiting, please be aware that the majority of the restaurants and public facilities are usually closed on Sundays, and even finding pharmacies and grocery stores can be a challenge, but in a pinch, the train station should have somethings open.
