Zebun Nessa Mosque
Located in the tranquil outskirts of Dhaka, Ashulia, stands a dreamlike pink concrete mosque. It seems like a gift from nature, coexisting harmoniously with the surrounding industrial atmosphere, waterside scenery, and becoming a unique landscape on this land. The architects drew dual inspiration from the site's industry and nature, crafting the mosque as if it were a pavilion integrated into nature, with a sense of historical depth of the region and filled with a profound dialogue with water.
Elevated on its foundation, it quietly tells the story of traditional Bengali houses. The curved walls, evolved from a simple square shape, embrace gently, protecting the central circular volume. The evenly arranged perforated gaps are like strokes of nature, sprinkling light spots across the main hall, creating an atmosphere that is both dreamy and ethereal.
Here, light and shadow intertwine, water and architecture dance together. People communicate, reflect, and feel the warmth and tranquility conveyed by the building. This mosque is not just a structure; it is a spiritual space that connects people with nature, history with the future, allowing one to find a haven for the soul in their travels.
