This year is the first time traveling to Surat Thani for Songkran 💦 I intended to visit my father. My father drove a car and took a boat from Koh Phangan. As for me, I traveled by Xmax motorcycle from Bangkok to Surat Thani. We drove for 12 hours straight, took some breaks, and met many bikers on the way. I was not lonely at all. 🚗🛵 We stayed at B2 Surat Thani Boutique & Budget Hotel, opposite the City Pillar Shrine. The room was good and the location was good. The view from the accommodation was beautiful. We stayed here for 2 nights. - On the first day, we paid respects at the City Pillar Shrine. It was very beautiful. At night, the lights were turned on. We took my father to eat by the Tapi River at Riverside Restaurant. The atmosphere was very good. We could see the view of the Naris Bridge with its beautiful lights. - On the second day, we left the city to visit the Ratchaprapha Dam. On the way, we stopped to pay respects at Wat Thung Siat and played in the clear water at Khlong Nam Sai. There were a lot of people during the festival. The water was really clear. This is another place I recommend visiting. When we arrived at the Ratchaprapha Dam, it was very beautiful. The view was good, the atmosphere was good, and the water was very beautiful. On the way, it was surrounded by mountains. It was a pleasant view. Many people went there. Don't miss this place. #TravelPlan We traveled in the southern region on a road trip, starting from Chachoengsao, but we stayed in Surat Thani for 3 days, so I will summarize it for you. Anyone who wants to follow this plan can do so. Day 1 ☀️Afternoon: Wat Phra Borommathat Chaiya Ratchaworawihan We left home and arrived in Surat Thani in the afternoon. Passing through Chaiya District, we stopped by to pay homage to Phra That Chaiya for good luck. The temple is not far from the main road, so you won't waste time traveling. 🌤️Evening: Khao Theppitak Suspension Bridge (Khao Phang Suspension Bridge) This place is near the Ratchaprapha Dam. It's a beautiful place to take pictures. The suspension bridge crosses the stream. If you're lucky in the evening, they will release water from the dam, which will be even more beautiful. 🏡Accommodation: Garden Home Riverside Resort We chose to stay here, not in the dam. The reason is that it's much cheaper than sleeping in the dam, and there are many options to choose from. This accommodation is newly opened. There are 4 individual houses and 1 family house. We stayed in a house for 2 people on weekdays for 1,290 baht. You can eat cold drinks here. There is also a restaurant. Day 2 ⛅️Morning: Boat trip at Ratchaprapha Dam We went on a boat trip early in the morning, around 6 am, because there was a lot of fog in the morning and the weather was not hot. The normal package costs 1,800 baht to Khao Sam Kloe and feed the fish at Pa Nang Prai, which takes about 2 hours. After the trip, we went back to have breakfast at the accommodation. ☀️ Lunch: We went to 2 cafes, which are on the way to go rafting this evening. The first place is Bridge Hill Cafe. This cafe has a very beautiful view. When we went, it was drizzling and there was thick fog with the mountain behind the cafe, so it was very beautiful. They will pick us up from the accommodation to get on the raft. It takes less than 10 minutes to drive from the accommodation, but it takes almost 2 hours to raft back. There will be a stop along the way for bamboo tea and coffee. If you want to jump into the water and float along the raft, you can do so. The atmosphere in the morning is very good. Day 3 ⛅️ Morning: Ban Nam Rat Forest, Ban Thamnien Subdistrict. I recommend coming here at 9:00 AM so you can take beautiful pictures with clear water. If you are in the morning, there will be a lot of people playing in the water, so the water will be murky. There are 2 zones here: a paddling zone and a swimming zone. Paddling is fun. If you go all the way, it is not very far, but the view is repetitive.
