Visiting Little Venice
Visiting Little Venice was a truly wonderful experience. This area is characterized by beautiful canals and colorful houses that add a special charm.
The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, making it enjoyable to stroll along the canals. We also took a boat tour, which allowed us to see the scenery from a different perspective.
We tasted local food at a nearby restaurant, and it was delicious. Sitting by the water and having a cup of coffee was a special moment.
If you want to enjoy unique beauty and a romantic atmosphere, be sure to visit Little Venice. It is a magical destination! 🌊🏡

Surrounded by ancient walls and crowned by the iconic Maiden Tower, this UNESCO World Heritage site invites travelers to step back in time while still feeling the pulse of modern Baku.
Walking through its narrow, cobblestone streets, visitors are greeted by centuries-old mosques, caravanserais, and palaces, all of which tell the story of Baku’s rich and diverse past. The blend of Persian, Ottoman, and Russian influences is evident not only in the architecture but also in the local flavors. Prettier than expected!
#familytravel
We visited the city of Baku as part of our family getaway. It was clubbed with one more country cos I wasn't sure if Azerbaijan would have enough. This was a holiday in mid August. Azerbaijan had been trending online and had favourable reviews, but an absolute foreign for me as we had never visited thus part of the world.
We flew in from Dubai. The arrival experience was comfortable. The city was prettier than what I expected. I was worried that it would be just mosques and religious theme. But surprisingly that wasn't the case. It's a beautifully planned place with wide and clean roadways, lush green gardens along with elevated buildings that had eye catching architecture. I noticed a lot of people preferred travelling on foot.
Baku is rightly referred to as the city of winds. I can't remember any other place that I have been to and was so windy all the time.
Day 1 mostly involved taking it easy and exploring the hotel offerings, the spa and the complimentary Hammam. Once relaxed and we'll rested. In the evening we set out to see the The Flame tower which is a combination of three standalone buildings each comprising of a luxury hotel, a residential building and an office. The height of the tallest towers amongst the three is 182 meters. The Flame Towers are completely covered with the LED screens that display the movement of a fire visible from the farthest points of the city. The light show transitions from giant flames and the colours of the Azeri flag.
Day 2 we headed to explore the fascinating old town. It had small alleys and open cafes. The old town of Baku was also laden with tree art, graffiti and local handmade handicrafts, carpets and shawls prepared by the local Azeri artists. The locals there are not only adept in making the carpets and handicrafts but also creating human sculptures which you would see in various parts of the city.
Day 3 visit Yanar Dag which also means Burning mountain in Azerbaijani language. It is a natural gas fire which blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea near Baku. This was followed with Baku astagah in surakhani.
The day ended with a nice azerbaijani meal as on most days. #familytravel #100waysoftravel #baku #azerbaijan #flowerlover

The Ritz-Carlton in Baku, Azerbaijan is so beautiful! It faces the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center designed by Zaha Hadid
Azerbaijan is a country known for its oil - although not as extravagant as the Middle Eastern oil nations, the capital Baku on the Caspian coast is just as prosperous as Dubai. Here you can see the world's largest mysterious inland sea - the Caspian Sea. The romantic and bustling oil city stretches along the vast coast, with the brilliance of the Flame Towers reflecting on the sea surface~ Moreover, direct flights from Beijing to Baku have been launched, and visa on arrival is very convenient!
I stayed in four hotels in Baku, the newest of which is The Ritz-Carlton Baku. This Ritz-Carlton opened in 2022, and compared to many older Ritz-Carlton properties, this one has very new facilities. At the same time, the Ritz brand has also completely switched to top-tier Diptyque bath products~ The first night I stayed in a regular suite, and for the next two nights, I booked the presidential suite, the 608 square meters of space was truly luxurious! Not only does it come with a gym, a huge walk-in closet and bathroom~ but also a sauna room and a steam room~ Taking a bubble bath, steaming in the sauna, so comfortable!
The Ritz-Carlton Baku~ The balconies of the two suites I stayed in both directly face the Heydar Aliyev Center designed by Zaha Hadid's architectural firm, with first-class views! It only takes about ten minutes to walk there from the hotel, which is so convenient!
The hotel's Blind Tiger bar and Tribeca restaurant have a fantastic atmosphere~ Staying at the Ritz-Carlton, you must enjoy a romantic dinner at the bar and restaurant! Of course, don't miss the hotel's SPA, the essential oil massage is so comfortable~ After relaxing, you can also go to the nearby Old City of Baku to stroll around and enjoy the charming night of the 'Little Paris of the Caucasus'.

The most luxurious hotel in Baku, The Ritz-Carlton showcases the city's nobility
Known as the Pearl of the Caspian, Baku is a legend where classic and modern intertwine.
The capital of Azerbaijan, what I miss is the Baku Ritz-Carlton
🌟【Lobby】
The black spiral staircase in the lobby is particularly eye-catching, and the calm color tones exude sophistication.
The lighting, full of fashion and artistic atmosphere, illuminates every corner,
Listening to the melodious music, the fatigue of the journey is forgotten.
•
🌟【Rooms】
The rooms are dominated by modern and simple light colors.
The soft and delicate new cashmere carpet enriches the design layers of the room.
Opposite the hotel is the landmark Heydar Aliyev Center.
From the room, you can see the full view of this building,
Standing in front of the room's large floor-to-ceiling windows,
A casual snap is a super shot with it.
I really like the bathroom, the spacious and comfortable space comes with a round large bathtub.
•
The welcome dessert is also very heartwarming, yogurt and sandwiches🥪
And the handwritten welcome card~ all make one feel at home.
-
🌟【Restaurant】
The restaurant here offers breakfast and dinner menus~
The Nordic minimalist decor, embellished with green plants
Breakfast is rich in variety, with exquisite and beautiful plating, making you want to eat at a glance
The bread cart allows you to choose your favorite types of bread
Dinner turns into a dining bar, drinking unique cocktails🍹
Enjoying Azerbaijani cuisine, steak and iron pot stewed beef

The Ritz-Carlton Baku - an excellent location, with a balcony facing the famous Aliyev Cultural Center
Azerbaijan is a country known for its oil - although it is not as rich as the Middle Eastern oil countries, the prosperity of Baku, the capital on the coast of the Caspian Sea, is no less than that of Dubai. Here you can see the largest mysterious inland sea in the world - the Caspian Sea. The vast coast is the romance and prosperity of the oil city, and the brilliance of the Flame Tower reflects the sea. Moreover, Beijing has already opened a direct flight to Baku, and the visa on arrival is very convenient!
On the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, I started my first trip of the Dragon Year in Azerbaijan. The second hotel I stayed in Baku was the Ritz-Carlton. This Ritz-Carlton opened in 2022. Compared with many old Ritz-Carlton properties, this one has all new hardware configurations, and the Ritz brand has also been fully upgraded to the top Diptyque bath products.
The Ritz-Carlton Baku - the balcony of the suite I stayed in faces the Heydar Aliyev Center designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, with a first-class view! Because it was the Spring Festival, the hotel was very considerate - and even prepared a surprise for the Spring Festival! The red velvet cake with the dragon year pattern is great, the upside-down 'fu' character is written wrong, it is written as 'fu', but the meaning is equally beautiful!

Old city
Old city of Baku is a magic place for whom like city history touch. How people lived, how the city functioned, to see the beauty of art and architecture. And you know people are still living there, it’s not just touristic place. Streets are narrow, echo is strong, so you have to be respectful to these people. Of course except of the beauty of the place you can find there a lot of small parks and gardens, museums, art galleries, restaurants and cafes, hotels, guides who will offer you a trip at every 100 meters of your route. At night is quite dark there but hope the moonlight will help you)))
And the best option there are almost no tourists in the city during the day, most of them appear from Friday evening.
It’s a great place, enjoy your stay there!

Baku, the capital and commercial hub of Azerbaijan, is a low-lying city with coastline along the Caspian Sea. It's famed for its medieval walled old city, which contains the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, a vast royal complex, and the iconic stone Maiden Tower. Contemporary landmarks include the Zaha Hadid–designed Heydar Aliyev Center, and the Flame Towers, 3 pointed skyscrapers covered with LED screens.
Baku is a city known for its historical and modern architecture at the same time. Walking down the streets of Baku is a great experience and each street leads to 2 world-class buildings and attractions called Flame Towers

Magnificent Airport
Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, is one of the six international airports serving Azerbaijan. It has a very unique design and I was totally in awe the moment I stepped my foot here.
FYI… You need to apply e-visa to visit this country.

Baku - the city of the wind !
Baku is a capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It is one of the largest industrial, scientific and cultural center not only of the country, as well as in the entire region. It is a major port on the west coast of the Caspian Sea, in the southern part of the Absheron Peninsula.
Baku new symbols. First, it is Flame Towers («Tower of Fire”) widely replicated around the world during the broadcasting “Eurovision” song contest and consisting of three towers. In addition, ultramodern concert complex Crystal Hall where “Eurovision” song contest has been actually conducted is well-known around the world.
Finally, I should mention the famous Heydar Aliyev Center - a complex structure that includes a convention center, a museum, a library and a park area of 9 hectares. This building has been designed by the famous female architect Zaha Hadid, the Discovery Channel produced the film series “Mega Structures”.

[Azerbaijan Baku net red restaurant Firuze punch card]
Firuze this restaurant was recommended by local friends twice, so decided to visit. The
restaurant is located on the ground floor, the entrance is not eye-catching, but there is a hole in the sky.

This is a bit far from the attractions of Baku in #azerbaijan but is still walking distance. The crystal hall was made for hosting the Eurovision and the train in the pictures is just at the park in front. Nowadays tourists can enjoy a nice afternoon coffee inside the hall.

Yes, I know it is not a tourist attraction, but I am posting this because this is the most beautiful airport terminal I have ever seen in my life. It is the airport of Baku - Heydar Aliyev, #azerbaijan . I think this is one of the most beautiful places in Baku even it is just an airport terminal so if you fly by plane to Azerbaijan for sure you will pass through it.

#baku is the capital and the largest city of #azerbaijan . The country was part of the Soviet Union before but nowadays is really different and super modern city. It is famous with its very authentical old town and meanwhile with its super high skyscrapers. It is a unique mixture of modern and traditional.

Baku can not miss the punch card position, the measured mobile phone can shoot
ins the most fire position
Figure 2 shot in the old city, this picture covers everything in Baku, modern and ancient civilization Collision, a mix of mosques and worship. However, if the building in the old city is messy, you need to climb higher. The shooting point is shown in Figure 3. You can find it directly by asking people.
Beautiful night view position
Figure 4 does not require aerial photography! You must not miss this omnipotent attraction that can see the night scene and can shoot three flames - Shahid Monument, take bus No. 18 and No. 3 to go up the mountain (the mountain cable car does not operate at night).
famous landmark Blackdal Aliyev Cultural Center, everyone took a panoramic view under the hillside, but did not take a few steps to shoot in front of him, the coolest photo actually Is to climb the roof to play surf
magical animals here
finally, Baku is full of sticky cats, casually open, take your travel friends to pose The kind of excellent cat model that will be avoided, lets take a photo of it.

Futuristic Dream in Baku
If you're ever in Baku, the Heydar Aliyev Centre is a must-see. Trust me, pictures don’t do it justice.
Being there was like stepping into another world, one where art and architecture blend seamlessly. Zaha Hadid’s design is even more breathtaking in person than in photos. The smooth, flowing lines of the building feel almost alive, constantly changing as you move around it. It’s impossible not to be mesmerized!! 😍
But what made the experience unforgettable? The people. The locals in Baku are some of the warmest and kindest I’ve ever met. Whether it was chatting with them about their culture or simply sharing smiles, they made my visit so much more special.
If you’re planning a trip to #azerbaijan and #baku , put this at the top of your list. You won’t regret it.
Have you ever been somewhere that felt more like a dream than reality? Tell me about it! #travel ☺️🙌🏻

The Allure of Highland Park Baku 🇦🇿🇦🇿
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Highland Park in Baku, Azerbaijan, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! 🌄As I made my way up to the park, I was greeted by stunning views of the city and the Caspian Sea. The walk through the beautifully landscaped gardens was refreshing, with vibrant flowers and towering trees that provided a serene atmosphere.
One of the highlights was the Alley of Martyrs, a poignant tribute to those who lost their lives for Azerbaijan. It was a powerful reminder of the country’s history and resilience. At the top, I was mesmerized by the panoramic views of Baku's skyline, including the iconic Flame Towers.
Watching the sunset from this vantage point was magical, as the city transformed into a dazzling display of lights.Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or just looking for a peaceful retreat, Highland Park has something for everyone. I highly recommend visiting this gem when you're in Baku!
