WE WERE IN PERLIS TO ATTEND A GATHERING AND A 'KENDURI'. BEFORE DRIVING BACK TO THE BUSTLING CITY OF KUALA LUMPUR, OUR LOCAL FRIENDS TOOK US TO VISIT THE 'PASAR MALAM' (NIGHT MARKET) IN ARAU, PERLIS. WE WERE AMAZED WITH THE SELECTION OF DISHES BEING SOLD IN THE 'PASAR MALAM'. THEY HAVE WHOLE GRILLED CHICKEN BEING GRILLED ON THE SPOT, MURTABAK AND ROTI CANAI WITH PICKLED ONIONS AND CURRY, STEAMED GLUTINOUS RICE WITH GRILLED CHICKEN AND CHILI SAUCE (DELICIOUS!), LAKSA KUALA PERLIS, BEEF SOUP AND CHICKEN SOUP SO AS THE NOODLES SOUP. OTHER THAN THE DELICIOUS FOODS BEING SOLD, WE COULD SEE SELLERS SELLING CLOTHES, BAGS, TOYS AND UTENSILS.
