Aqaba Beach
The coastal city of Aqaba communicates to the visitor both striking beauty and grace. Touching the Red Sea are a series of peaceful mountains and a riveting desert reflecting onto the clear blue waters. Stretching along the northern beach, the Gulf of Aqaba measures a length of 180 KM and expands to a width of 25 KM with 27 KM of the shoreline belonging to Jordan. The rest of the shoreline is shared with Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Israel.
Even during the winter you can go for some sunbathing on the beach of Red Sea at Aqaba,Jordan. The city is very lively and with nice cuisine. It gives good options for sleep and also transportation to the main attractions of the country - Wadi Rum Desert and Petra.

Aqaba.
Aqaba accommodation: Hakaia hostel
This accommodation is in a good location, the breakfast is delicious and hearty, and it is clean and tidy. The hostel's decoration style is very international, and the culture is authentic.
The hostel provides Wadi Rum carpooling service, 25 JOD per car. The price is split equally per person, and the price for one person is 15 JOD. If someone A, it will be cheaper than Jett, but more expensive than the local bus.
Recommended stay: 1-2 nights
The city is small and there are not many places to visit. If you want to play in the water, it seems that the Egyptian side is better. Aqaba is located at the intersection of Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. A short stay is enough. It feels good to stroll around Aqaba Castle and enjoy Aqaba Bay at sunset.

Aqaba & Dead Sea | When Klein Blue meets pink sunset.
Aqaba is a seaside city at the southernmost tip of Jordan, which is very suitable for leisure and vacation. If I had enough time, I would spend 2 days in Aqaba and 1 day in the Dead Sea.
🗺️My weekend trip route
Day 1: Amman➡️Petra➡️Aqaba
Day 2: Aqaba➡️Dead Sea
🌈Aqaba
🚗About 4.5 hours' drive from Amman, about 2 hours' drive from Petra
1️⃣JETT Bus, 10 JOD/person
There are many buses, and you can buy tickets at JETT Bus Station, Abdali. But the bus is not very fast, so it takes a little longer
2️⃣Self-driving
About CNY 250-350/day, you can use a translation + passport
Jordan is left-hand drive, and the driving experience is quite friendly except that the locals drive more fiercely and there are more ups and downs
🏠Hotel recommendation
InterContinental Aqaba, an IHG Hotel
➡️CNY 1500-2500/night (of course there are more expensive room types)
✅Private beach + invincible sea view, very suitable for blowing the sea breeze in the room, lying on the beach to watch the blue sea, swimming in the sun, walking to the beach to watch the sunset of the Red Sea
✅Aqaba is a diving resort, in addition to coral reefs, there are underwater planes, underwater tanks, it's a pity that I didn't have enough time to go diving this time
🍜Restaurant recommendation
Azaz Caborya seafood restaurant
➡️I highly recommend their grilled fish, which is very tender and the sauce is also good. The other seafood is average
🌈Dead Sea
Because I didn't have enough time, I didn't choose to go to the resort to float. I found a shore and walked directly to the Dead Sea to watch the sunset. Perhaps because of the influence of salt crystals, the Dead Sea seen from the shore in the evening is blue-green and white, and the sunset of the Dead Sea is pink, which is very soft🌅
🚗About 1 hour's drive from Amman
📍My water point: Spiaggia di Sale
There are few tourists, and there are simple showers nearby for people who float in the wild to wash
⚠️The parking point is a certain distance from the sea, but the salt crystals along the way are also very special, but the crystals are very sharp, be careful not to be scratched
Vocation love it 😊

Aqaba - the only coastal city in Jordan
Aqaba is a coastal city in far southern Jordan, capital of Aqaba Governorate at the head of the Gulf of Aqaba. Aqaba is strategically important to Jordan as it is the country's only port.
High season (May) The weather is perfect across Jordan with warm days and cool nights. Northern Jordan is covered in wildflowers in April. Normal season (September–February) Best time to visit the Red Sea; Prices in and around Aqaba increased accordingly. White nights in the desert with rain or snow are full of activities, such as camping. Low season (June–August) The deserts in mid-summer are extreme. Temperatures across Jordan can be stifling. Their prices are best but many places close during low season.

Aqaba Castle: The Region’s Historical Gem
The Aqaba Castle, also known as the Mamluk Castle of Aqaba, stands as a sentinel along the pilgrimage route to Mecca and Medina. Its current form dates mainly to the 16th century. In July 1917, the fortress witnessed a victory of the Arab Revolt when this heavily defended Turkish stronghold fell to an Arab camel charge. Lawrence of Arabia rode triumphantly from here to Cairo to report the good news to General Allenby. The port of Aqaba became a major supply base for the advancing Arab Revolt.
Today, the Aqaba Fort is being partially reconstructed and invites visitors to explore its chambers, walk its walls, and immerse themselves in its storied past. The fort stands not only as a historical monument but also as a tangible link to the origins of the modern Middle East. A building nearby, once Sharif Hussein’s residence, now houses the Aqaba Archaeological Museum.
