One of the highlights of my trip to Puglia was exploring the Gargano coastline by boat. If you’re wondering whether it’s worth it, my answer is a definite yes 😍 The trip starts in Vieste, where you get beautiful views of the old town, the lighthouse and the coastline before sailing towards some of Gargano’s most spectacular natural landmarks. Over the next few hours, we explored several sea caves carved into the white limestone cliffs. Some were closed, others had one or two openings in the ceiling. Seeing these formations up close from the water was something you simply can’t experience from land. We also passed the impressive Arch of San Felice before reaching my favourite part: Spiaggia Vignanotica. Arriving by sea completely changes your perspective.
