In reality, the memorial valley monument finally succeeded in punching the Spanish red wall muralla roja! Reality is more beautiful than photos! From the evening, I arrived at the sun and went down the mountain. It took me more than an hour to leave. The whole house is spliced with blue orange powder and purple blocks. The high and low staggered design is used to distinguish different units. The top of the building can see the endless Mediterranean Sea, and the sea water is crystal clear. Different light will have different beauty. Traveling in Spain must be punched! highly recommended! !

The best festival in Spain in June is the Hogueras de San Juan. Although this is a national festival, the most grand, fun, and festive celebrations are in Alicante, Valencia.
This year's festival will last from June 20 to 24. "Noche de San Juan" is the most exciting part of the festival, usually held on June 23 or 24 each year. The wooden sculptures on the street during the day become "torches" for the bonfire at night, burning brightly in the night.
- What else can you do:
๐ At midnight on June 24, a fireworks display called "Palmera" will be launched from the top of Santa Barbara Castle. The fireworks will bloom into palm trees, lighting up the night sky.
๐ During each Hogueras de San Juan, girls will wear traditional local costumes, participate in various activities, and be selected as the festival queen "Bellesa del Foc"!
- What else can you eat:
๐ฅ People usually eat tuna pie (Coca amb tonyina) on the day of the Hogueras de San Juan, as well as Arroz a banda, a type of seafood rice made with potatoes, fish, and rice, usually decorated with various seafood and seasoned with spices such as saffron and paprika.

Barrio Santa Cruz โ The Heart of Old Seville
#traveldiaries
Barrio Santa Cruz is the historic Jewish quarter of Seville, filled with narrow cobblestone streets, charming plazas, and whitewashed buildings. Itโs a great place to get lost and discover hidden gems like small tapas bars, souvenir shops, and quaint courtyards. The areaโs proximity to the cathedral and the Alcรกzar makes it one of the most popular neighborhoods to explore. Its romantic atmosphere is perfect for an evening stroll.
Enjoy Fresh Seafood at the Market!
Mercado Central de Alicante is a prominent traditional market located in the heart of Alicante. Since its opening in 1921, it has been beloved by both locals and tourists. The market is housed in a building that boasts Alicante's historical architectural style, characterized by Spanish Art Nouveau.
Inside the market, you'll find shops selling fresh seafood, meat, fruits, vegetables, cheese, olives, nuts, spices, and traditional Spanish cooking ingredients. The basement mainly hosts seafood and meat shops, while the first floor features fruit, vegetable, bakery, and various other shops.
The market also has bars, cafes, and small eateries where you can enjoy tapas and Spanish dishes made with fresh ingredients.
The best among them is El Loco del Mar! They cook fresh seafood right on the spot, and it's simply the best!

A Decent Day Trip
#myhiddengems
Alicante may not have much to offer or lure you. But I think it makes for a nice day trip or even overnight. Alicante has all the comforts of a sunny holiday destination. Certain cheap flight deals do cause for an excessive British holiday goers. From experience, especially the younger ones tend to be a little too wild. Having said so, there are so many places to visit in Alicante and cool places to hang out.
The old town remains a subject of my interest on most European destinations. It is like a story board of history with the likes of San Nicolas de bari cathedral, the town hall, la plaza de Santa faz, contemporary arts museum, Santa Cruz quarters and so many such points to keep you interested through the day.#alicante #spain #valenciatravel #summer #travel #hiddengem
Good for a weekend
#myhiddengems
So Alicante tends to get overshadowed by these resort towns around it. But on its own too it has the potential to offer you an authentic experience. I have spent a weekend there and between the food and old town there was enough for me. It does recive a lot of holiday tourists from nearby countries or even Britain for that reason. And it offers daytrips possibilities to lot of othe places. There are several towns and villages within reachable distances and each with its own charm.
For instance i visited the town of Elche. This place comes alive every evening in the long summer and it really buzzes. Alicante itself is a beautiful city with a marina that is breathtaking. Tapas bars, restaurants and hotels everywhere. Sitting above the city is the imposing Castillo Santa Barbara. This is worth a visit if only for the views from the top and is accessed via lifts from the main street opposite the marina. Up the coast there is Benidorm, Calpe, Havia, Moraira. Drive south to Guardamar, Torrevieja, Santa Pola. The list goes on. All these places are within ten minutes to an hoursโ drive from Alicante.
