📍Location: Alberobello, Italy
Hidden in southern Italy, it's like a white mushroom town from a fairytale, dreamlike and otherworldly. Located in the Itria Valley between Bari, Brindisi, and Taranto in the province of Apulia, the town is small, with just over 10,000 residents, but it's a world-renowned architectural marvel, listed as a World Heritage Site in 1996, and enjoys the reputation of Italy's "Paradise Town."
🎇Trullo Belvedere: Located between Piazza del Popolo and the parking lot, the Belvedere is the perfect spot for photos and panoramic views of the town. From the Belvedere, you can see the pointed roofs of the small houses in the distance, like elf hats scattered across the landscape, utterly charming.
⛪Church of Saint Anthony of Padua: The largest church in town, the Church of Saint Anthony of Padua features a unique trullo architectural style, both solemn and whimsical. The prominent weather vane on the bell tower adds a distinctive touch. Every Sunday, the church is bustling with activity. Also not to be missed is the Chiesa di Sant'Antonio, a typical trullo-style church, about 21 meters high, with a unique Greek-style cross on top.
🏠Sovrano Trullo: This is a rare two-story trullo building in the town, originally built by a wealthy priestly family. Over the years, it has been used as a family residence, a church, and a place for religious brotherhoods.
🚶Strolling Through the Town: Take a leisurely stroll along the quiet "Paradise Path," and it feels like time has stopped, immersing you in the slow pace of ancient life. The town is full of exquisite and unique small shops, pubs, and restaurants. When you're tired, step into any shop, order a cup of coffee, look out the window, watch the people come and go, and enjoy the unique charm of the town.
🌃Beautiful Night View: While strolling, you might stumble upon a souvenir shop selling miniature trulli, which are incredibly cute. As night falls, the lights in front of the shops come on one after another, and the town's pleasant evening begins. The scattered lights are like stars in the sky, dazzling and bright.
