Absolutely loved Oman! And what a pleasant surprise, the country was so beautiful with amazing weather in April. The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque was gorgeous, white marble and sparkling clean, but watch for the opening time because it’s only open for tourists 3hrs in the morning, 4 days a week. The nature in Oman was also fantastic, we went to Wadi Shab, you can hike and then swim there, then also swim into the cave. Another day, we visited Nizwa, where they had the goat auction market. The fort there was also worth visiting. Don’t miss trying Halwa too, a traditional Omani dessert, it became one of my favorites! We didnt get a chance to visit Salalah and around that region, and will definitely have to go back!

I was planning to go to Dubai to go crazy. When I was looking for a Dubai Raiders online, I accidentally discovered the strange place name of Oman. Oman is a small tourist destination, one of the oldest countries in the Arabian Peninsula and the only country with beaches, mountains and deserts. h is surrounded by the long bay and the sacred mountains of the Jigashi Bay Six Senses Hotel. One side is the shadow of the Hagar Mountains, and the other side is the delicate beaches of the original bay. It takes only over an hour from Dubai to Oman. Although it can be easily reached, the whole peninsula still has the temperament of avoiding the world. It is sparsely populated and can stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. After experiencing the bustling city of Dubai, come back to this escaping island. Its really a kind of returning to the real style. Looking at the hotel looks like an inconspicuous village, but Inside, you can see the modern equipment and the decoration of the trend. The villa group is facing the endless horizon of Haiping, and the view is superb. The outdoor pool is surrounded by palm trees and is luxurious but not artificial. There are not many people in the hotel. There is always a feeling of contracting fish ponds by the empty pool. In order to reduce the carbon emissions of the vehicles, the hotel is built with local natural materials. Yes, most of these villas are made of stone, thatch and wood, which is why they are also very durable. Each villa is equipped with a private pool and walls. These well-designed villas and alleys create a private and secluded environment, so that you are not afraid of the outsiders, you can let go of yourself~ The layout of the villa is the daily traditional Arab family, and the room is inside. The fan was installed on the ground, but it was not so luxurious, but it was comfortable to live. The bathroom uses a lot of wood elements, closer to the original nature. It houses the world's largest hand woven Persian carpet, a masterpiece that took 600 weavers 4 years to complete. The mosque also features a colossal Swarovski crystal chandelier that illuminates the main prayer hall. Getting There - Fanja village is located approximately 1.5hr drive from Muscat the capital. Attractions - Fanja village was a great stop! The village offers stunning panoramic views from it's hilltop location, with old mud houses hunting at its history. The Fanja Souq was a vibrant experience with a lot of local crafts, spices and traditional Omani goods. Hotels - DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Qurum. It's known for its iconic 17th century fort with a massive cylindrical tower. Its bustling traditional souq is famous for silver and handicrafts. It offers diverse goods from fresh produce to traditional Omani daggers reflecting Nizwa's rich cultural heritage as a former capital. Hotels - We stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Qurum. Food & Restaurants and Shopping - There are small locally owned shops and restaurants around the area. Getting There - Wahiba Sands is about a 2hr drive from Muscat the capital. Attractions - Stepping into the Wahiba Sands felt like entering another world. The vast expanse of undulating dunes, stretching as far as the eye could see, was truly awe-inspiring. The silence was profound, broken only by the whisper of the wind. Exploring the desert landscape and experiencing the simple beauty of this natural wonder was an unforgettable and deeply peaceful experience. If you plan on staying for the night, it's important to choose a camp that suits your needs. There are many camps available and some are not in the dunes. Accommodation: We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Qurum. A very friendly team provides excellent service here and they have a pool on the top floor. # My Solo Girl Adventure at Wadi Shab, Oman! 💦 OMG guys, I just had the BEST day trip ever! 🤩 Took myself on a little adventure to Wadi Shab about 1.5 hours from Muscat. The journey was super easy - just booked a car for a day trip tour that was super convenient! If you're lucky like me, you might even score a private trip all to yourself! Headed along the coastal road, then started to walk and hike through this incredible canyon for about 30 mins. And LOOK AT THIS WATER! 😍 Crystal clear turquoise pools nestled between massive rocks. I couldn't believe places like this actually exist! The swim was absolutely refreshing after the hike. Tips if you're a solo girl traveler: - Felt totally safe the whole time! - Wore a tee and swim shorts (modest but comfy) - Started early to avoid crowds and heat - Brought snacks (no shops there) - Don't forget sunscreen and water! If you're wondering if Oman is solo-girl friendly - YES IT IS! Everyone was respectful and helpful.
