Check in was quick. We were on the first floor and it was so loud at night -- the lobby worker had friends visiting whose voices echoed in the lobby until midnight. In the morning, the beeping of the waffle maker in the breakfast area was loud, even from the tin with the door closed. There were hairs on the bathroom and bed that were clearly not ours as they were not our hair type. The bathroom was so cramped that you cannot open the door fully because it hits the toilet. There was noise very loud in our room from what I think was hotel workers moving things. However, the price was low, the location was great, and it didn't feel unsafe. You get what you pay for, and it fulfilled our basic needs for a one night stay in the city.

Room was clean and hotel put us on higher floor so we got a better view. Small coffee maker in the room. Double beds in room are comfortable. The drainage in our bath room was not working well, after informing the front desk, they sent their maintenance staff Rafael to check within minutes. A very short walk to the falls and linked way over to Canada. There is a tourist information counter on ground floor and saw some tourists engaged guides for their day out. Very simple breakfast served from 7am - 10am but good enough for my family. Have free coffee and hot water dispenser on ground floor available for guests. Overall a satisfying stay.

We love the staff here !! They enjoy their jogs and are happy to help us with all our needs. The hotel is so very comfortable. Beds , pillows are so so comfortable , rooms are super clean , spotless. Pool & hot-tub is warm & hot. They even have music playing in the pool area. Breakfast is very good and the hotel in in a perfect location every is very close. Hilton Garden Inn has always been my go-to place, and although I have enjoyed my stay at every single one I have gone to so far (Evanston IL and Springfield MA), this Ithaca location has been the best one thus far. We came to Ithaca to visit the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and upon discovering that Ithaca had a HGI, we booked right away. Every single staff member at Ithaca was patient, more than willing to help, and gave just the right information at the right time. The care and attentiveness actually started a few days before our check-in day, with Jessica and Rachel responding to any question I had asked. I appreciated that the wellness texts continued during our visit as well. There were two restaurants onsite, and the area also has many eateries that we grew to love (especially CollegeTown Bagels!). Parking was conveniently across the street from the onsite Starbucks. The entire room was clean, beds were very comfortable for the weary travelers, and as an added touch, the front lobby featured delicacies that were made by local businesses. I really appreciated that connection to the community, and believe that it definitely puts the Ithaca location above all others. Whenever we are back in Ithaca, we will be sure to book at HGI Ithaca again. Thank you so much for a memorable and pleasant stay!

The hotel is in a good location, 14 minutes drive from the Grand Falls. There are also many restaurants nearby, no need to drive, there are many things to eat in 10 to 15 minutes, and there is a supermarket next to it.

Convenient transportation, just telling the side. The price is reasonable and the breakfast is good.

My flight got canceled at the very last minute, and the airline's handling of the situation left much to be desired. They refused to provide any accommodation and instead gave us a brochure with supposedly discounted hotels in the city. Faced with the uncertainty of 200+ people trying to secure a place, I quickly glanced at the brochure and decided on the ”Chelsea Inn” due to its 3-star rating on the website. However, as I was en route to the hotel, I read the fine print and discovered two significant concerns: 1) The hotel had shared bathrooms, and 2) There was no reception. The latter worried me since I didn't have a US phone and hadn't received any confirmation from the hotel. Thankfully, upon arrival, I found someone at the front desk. Although the room itself was clean, I couldn't help but feel disappointed considering the price I paid. Private bathrooms should have been included at that rate. Additionally, having to carry my suitcase up five flights of stairs was quite inconvenient. The hotel's lack of luggage storage was another major drawback, especially for travelers with late flights. Furthermore, they charged an extra $35 for housekeeping, which thankfully I didn't require during my one-night stay. In conclusion, this hotel might be suitable for those who plan well in advance and receive check-in instructions on time. However, it should never be advertised as an option for last-minute bookings, especially for international guests who might urgently need a room. I can't imagine the trouble I would have faced if there hadn't been anyone at the reception upon my arrival.

Such a lovely hotel! I stayed in the Gaylord room for a week, which was so sweet and quaint, lovely antique furniture and a great clean well stocked bathroom. I arrived later than planned due to flight delay and Vincent waited for us to arrive. He helped with our bags into the hotel and down the stairs to our room, and made sure we were happy and settled. All of the team were super friendly and polite, and I felt so at home. Would 100% return for more of this lovely atmosphere and environment. Location wise it is in a marvellous position, 10 mins walk max to 2 subway stations (14th and 8th and 14th and 7th), and the same distance from the PATH to Jersey. Right in the heart of West Village for night life and boutique shopping, restaurants and bars. Round the corner from Carrie Bradshaw and Monica Geller if you care about that stuff! Facilities - microwave, pop up toaster, kettle, coffee maker, fridge. Television with Netflix and Amazon and Hulu etc.

Pleasantly surprised. We stayed with our kids and dog. The bathroom initially had sort of a weird smell but it eventually went away. The room was pretty clean. It might just be me but I ended up having back and neck pain from either the mattress or the pillow. The staff were all really nice. The breakfast buffet was also nice. The area to walk your dog is small but does the job. The kids liked the pool and the pool was clean. I had no regrets booking at this hotel. Not the nicest…but far from bad.
