Water rafting in Xinping | Yangshuo

This is a highly recommend activity for all who visit Yangshuo. Xinping is located close to the Yangshuo railway station so it’s perfect to do this on arrival or before you leave Yangshuo. You need to book a spot for 150rmb and choose a time. There are a few time slots available throughout the day. You can take a didi to the location then a bus will transport you to the top where you claim your ticket and store your valuables in a locker. You will then proceed to another bus which drives you to the starting point. Each boat seats 2 people and the whole course is about 1 hour 30mins. it’s fun it’s safe and there are photos taken at different spots which you can claim at the end for 10rmb per photo or 80rmb for all of your photos. There are shops to buy shoes and T-shirts and anything else you may need if you are not dressed to get wet. Xinping has really cool hotels so I would recommend staying a couple days here! #passionpassport #naturalwonders #summervacation #urbanexplorer

RIVER RAFTING in XINGPING

Getting There - I stayed close to Xingping wharf and rented an electric scooter 🛵 for 30 yuan for the day. I rode for about 35 minutes stopping along the way to both take pictures and look at the map on my phone to make sure I was going the right way. Attractions - The River rafting was really fun, although my raft turned over and I lost my glasses, shoe and toenail 😂But don’t let that stop you from going. I fell out because I was only one person in my raft, I put all my weight to one side(sit in the middle if you’re planning on going alone) and got hit by a raft with 2 people and just like that I was face first in the water. Hotels - I would recommend Xingping Li River Inn close to the wharf, but there are many hotels to choose from. Food & Restaurants - There is a restaurant at the scenic spot which I assume only offers Chinese style meals but I’m not too sure because I didn’t go in. Shopping - Along the way there are many vendors selling swimsuits, water guns , slippers, water proof phone bags that go around your neck and many other things. Price: I bought the ticket online for 160 yuan. #riverrafting #summervacation #adventure

RAFTING ON YULONG RIVER

#rafting Rafting on Yulong River is certainly an exciting way to enjoy Yangshuo's stunning lush karst mountains lining the riverbank. Two chairs are provided on the bamboo raft and a local boatman navigates the waters using a bamboo pole. I really wanted to take the raft ride, but my daughter was so concerned with safety and kept wondering whether the raft was stable. Alhough the waters seems shallow, her fear was totally understandable, so we skipped the raft ride and simply sat by the riverbank, enjoying people watching and soaking in the stunning scenery. Useful Tips : 1. Wear slippers, as you might get wet. 2. Go early in the morning, to avoid long queues. 3. Request life jackets. 4. Request shorter rides, if you have limited time. #100waysoftravel #yulongriver #traveldiaries #naturalwonders
