Forest walk Chelsea Estate Heritage Park

Near the famous sugar factory on the North Shore of Auckland, there is a Chelsea Estate Heritage Forest Park. The park is full of ancient trees with wide crowns, and the gravel path is full of fallen leaves. Some big trees are knocked down and lie on the side. Along the trail, there are lakes, hills, various trees and wildflowers, and you can see the distant mountains and the horizon. There is a map at the entrance of the park, indicating the length of each trail and the time required for walking. Special reminder, for safety, no walking after drinking. There is a junction with a fence and shoe cleaning facilities, informing that in order to protect the Kauri tree species (Maori call it Kauri), please clean dirty boots. This kind of Kauri is up to forty or fifty meters high, with a majestic crown, usually there are one or two meters thick fallen leaves under the tree to protect the big tree, which is a unique tree species in the north of New Zealand. We chose a not very long trail, and at the end, we could see the skyscrapers in downtown Auckland.

When in Auckland, New Zealand, we tried to blend in with the local families by visiting the regional park, Ambury Regional Park, for a day of fun. The park is vast, and today’s clear skies make it perfect for a picnic! The two kids enjoyed juice and sandwiches under a big tree, so relaxing! Meanwhile, we adults had some wine, roast chicken, and fruit for our picnic. Gazing at the endless green fields, we felt an instant sense of tranquility! After the picnic, we visited the park’s farm, where we could feed the sheep, watch the horses and pigs up close, and even saw a big hen leading her chicks out to forage! Additionally, the park has educational elements, allowing kids to solve riddles on small blackboards, which excited everyone! Each and every dish at this place was good. From desserts to brunch options, we were all so chuffed. The prices being reasonable was another plus. Have visited this place thrice in a week and wouldn't mind trying them again. The parking is huge and the service is quick too. The servers are sharp and also ask you about food allergies. It's also got this friendly and laidback vibe which makes it a great hangout spot as well.
