"Visiting the Sabah Museum"

"Visiting the Sabah Museum"

"Visiting the Sabah Museum" In Sabah, Malaysia, the Sabah Museum is a unique place to visit. Before going, I learned about the ticket prices. Malaysians only need to pay 2 RM, while foreigners like us need to pay 15 RM, and only cash is accepted. After visiting, I felt that it was only worth 2 RM. I heard that it is privately operated, so I can understand the reason. The museum has only two floors and is not very large. It can be easily visited in less than an hour. However, there is also an Ethnobotanical Garden outside the museum. If you have enough time, you can visit it to experience the unique ethnic customs. But be careful, there is a lot of greenery and mosquitoes, so be sure to take mosquito repellent measures. Here are some tips to share with you. After checking the tickets, you can ask the ticket inspector for a Chinese guide, which will make the visit clearer. There are a few lockers on the basement floor where you can store your bags for free, but the way to store your bags is a bit primitive. The keys are directly inserted into the lockers, and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There were not many tourists on the day I went, so there were many empty lockers available. Although the Sabah Museum does not have a particularly grand atmosphere, it is a small window to get a preliminary understanding of the local culture of Sabah. Here, you can see some exhibits with local characteristics and feel the stories of this land. If you are traveling to Sabah and have time, you might as well come here for a visit. You might also find a little surprise of your own.

World Class Sunset @ Tg Aru Beach, KK

One of the great joys of Kota Kinabalu are the fabulous sunsets. And Tanjung Aru Beach has one of the most beautiful sunset views in the world. This beach used to be a quiet beach visited mostly by locals only. Not until 2014, a blog listed Kota Kinabalu city as one of the world’s best place to watch sunset. Since then, the beach is frequented by tourists every day and their exciting reactions confirm that the sunset here is truly spectacular ✨ There was a real feel-good atmosphere here with locals and tourists enjoying the breathtaking golden sunset. Take a camera, chill & enjoy! #sabah #kkcity #sunset

This is amazing! I'll definitely stay here again next time!

This is amazing! I'll definitely stay here again next time!

In the city of Kota Kinabalu, there is a hidden gem where you can relax and enjoy your time - the Klagan Hotel. During my vacation, I decided to spend a pleasant and unforgettable time here. The Klagan Hotel is located in the city center, close to the famous Tanjung Aru Beach and the Philippines Mosque. It is only a ten-minute drive from the airport, making it extremely convenient. For tourists like me, this is the best choice. As I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted by the simple and elegant lobby design. The soft lighting shone on the marble floor, and the greenery and flowers added a vibrant touch to the space. When checking in, the front desk staff greeted me with a friendly smile and quickly completed all the procedures, while also providing a detailed introduction to the hotel's facilities and services. I booked a superior room, which was spacious and bright, with simple and elegant decor. The floor-to-ceiling windows allowed sunlight to freely fill the room, and the view outside was breathtaking. The bed was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The room was equipped with air conditioning, a TV, a safe, and other amenities to meet all my needs. Every morning, I would wake up with the morning light and head to the hotel's restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere and offered a variety of Chinese and Western dishes. Whether it was local snacks or international buffets, there was something to satisfy every guest's taste buds. Enjoying the street view outside the window while dining was the perfect way to start the day. The swimming pool at the Klagan Hotel was one of my favorite places. In the sunny afternoon, soaking in the cool water seemed to wash away all my worries. The pool bar offered a variety of drinks and snacks, and having afternoon tea between swims was a true delight. As a travel enthusiast, I participated in the hotel's day tour activities. I visited the beautiful Mermaid Island, where the crystal-clear water and colorful coral reefs were mesmerizing. There was also a mangrove tour, where I could get up close to the rich natural ecology, feeling like I was in a paradise on earth. In the evening, I could work up a sweat at the fitness center or relax in the sauna. There were many famous restaurants and night markets near the hotel, where I could enjoy authentic seafood feasts and various local snacks, which was an experience not to be missed. Staying at the Klagan Hotel in Kota Kinabalu not only allowed me to experience the warm hospitality of Sabah but also made me feel at home. The comfortable accommodation and thoughtful service made my vacation exceptionally enjoyable and unforgettable.

Nana Dessert Cafe

#kotakinabalutrip Good service. Had the Injeolmi Pat Bingsu RM16.90, Mocha RM12, Osmanthus Latte RM14, Matcha Pistachio Cake RM18. Wish the bingsu bowl a bit bigger d. Taste nice. Prefers the Osmanthus Latte compared to Mocha. Matcha Pistachio cake lacks matcha taste but was moist. It was crowded at 4PM and our table was unstable. Recommended ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

🚶🏻‍♂️Livin’ on the tree

#weekendgetaways This cultural village share the history of all ethnic in Sabah, their day to day livings and also how they create rice spirits by themselves! Of course, this does not represent entire Sabahan but only still applicable to some ethnics within. By the end of the journey, they also draws Henna (with your own liking design) as a memory, the Henna could stay with you for the next couple of days. Psst! Remember to bring sunshade or umbrella as it is quite hot going through the couple hours of tour under hot sun.

Kota Kinabalu! Highly recommended!!!

Kota Kinabalu! Highly recommended!!!

✔️ Most hotels and restaurants are located near Gaya Street, or you can stay at Shangri-La Hotel, which is conveniently located near these two places. ✔️ It's the off-season in Kota Kinabalu, so there aren't many people even on weekends. You don't need to queue at attractions or restaurants. The cost for a 3-day, 2-night trip is less than MYR 3,000. Go for it! ✔️ The sea view here is very weather-dependent. It's really beautiful on sunny days. ✔️ The temperature is around 25 to 30 degrees Celsius, which is very comfortable. However, it can be windy sometimes, so remember to wear sunscreen and sunglasses! ✔️ Most attractions are located in and around the city, and are quite close to each other. A one-day tour can be a bit rushed, but a two-day, one-night weekend tour is more relaxing. ✔️ You can join a tour group! There are many one-day tours to choose from, such as the mangrove forest, Mantanani Island, or Mount Kinabalu. ✔️ Watch the sunset ▪️ Tanjung Aru Beach: You can take photos of the sunset with reefs, beaches, waves, and distant mountains. ▪️ Shangri-La Hotel Beach: The sunset here is as beautiful as Tanjung Aru Beach, and the photos are stunning. ✔️ Must-see attractions Mangrove forest (fireflies, sunset, and proboscis monkeys are not to be missed) Tanjung Aru Beach (the coastal road is also beautiful) Kinabalu Park Mantanani Island (island hopping, scuba diving, and snorkeling) Tanjung Aru sunset paddleboarding Gaya Street Night Market
