Special

This is a very unique sort of a place with the vintage ambience. There is something artistic about it as well as old and photogenic. It was a really nice place, that is sort of hidden from the road so you can't hear the bike or car sounds which was great. The place was cozy and there are some muaic instruments. The music was great too. We went in the afternoon for a while and then went back again in the evening because we liked it so much. It was lot better than places with tourists and noise. We tried their cold brew coffee and passion fruit juice. Both were very nice. #vietnamtrip #hanoi #hiddencafes

LABONTE

Sad to say goodbye to the old establishment in Dang Thai Mai - one of the brunch shops I've been back to the most. Instead, Labonte moved to a new facility at 93 Linh Lang with a fairly spacious two-storey space and an outdoor breezy balcony. This new facility still brings the atmosphere of Dang Thai Mai with white tones, rustic and simple wood interior. The space is not too expensive but gives me a pleasant and intimate feeling, which is very suitable for studying and working. The new space has more spacious outdoor seating, perfect for brunch and chatting with friends. I still miss the facility in Dang Thai Mai very much, when I know the news of its closing I am also sad because so many memories with friends are marked here However, the new facility will be a great start for Labonte in the coming year 2023 !! To Labonte I am still loyal to combo BBQ Pulled Mushroom and Hibicus tea, this is still a delicious combo that is not available anywhere else. My friend ordered a Silver Faint, but the shop forgot the order, so 30 minutes later there was a drink, the shop apologized with two delicious cookies #songkran2024 #historicallandmarks #localguides #goodfoods #coffeeshop #cafe

Lobster queen @ Hanoi

Lobster queen @ Hanoi

Visited lobster queen @ Hanoi and tried their lobster roll (both ala carte and set). It was only about $18 for the ala carte roll and it was super worth it since they were very generous with the amount of lobster provided. Bread was also crispy and delicious. Lobster was fresh as well. The set comes with a soup and salad which tasted great too. Ordered fries as a side and it was crispy and served hot. Overall meal here was super satisfying and delicious and recommend visiting.

Hanoi Thrifting - A Treasure Hunt in the City

Hanoi Thrifting - A Treasure Hunt in the City

Spending a day thrifting in Hanoi was like embarking on a treasure hunt through the city’s hidden gem. We started our adventure in the bustling Old Quarter, where small shops and stalls were packed with vintage clothes, unique accessories and quirky finds. Each store had its own character, and rummaging through racks of pre-loved items felt like a piece of the city’s history. The shop owners were friendly, eager to chat about their goods and share a bit of local culture. By the end of day, our bags are full, so were our heart, as we walked away with not just thrifted treasures, but memories of the vibrant, electric side of Hanoi that we’ll never forget.

HỒN COFFEE.

#vietnamtrip At first glance, I was a bit hesitant because it felt like a middle-aged coffee shop, but you shouldn't judge anything by its appearance because the inside of the shop is cute and has a very youthful vibe. Although the space only has one floor, it is spacious, has many seats, and a wide frontage, so sitting outside is also comfortable. The shop chooses a cozy beige color tone, setting up many lights to create a bright space, going for a coffee date or taking pictures is fine. The shop is also very suitable for studying and working because every table has an outlet. *I see that the shop "invests" quite a lot in the beverage section, the shop's lG also shares many signature drinks that I have never heard of. Some drinks that Minh and his friends find delicious are Tra Ba Cot - inspired by the dish che ba cot, this is a combination of cold brewed jasmine tea and brown sugar ginger syrup, this cup of tea will have a clear ginger flavor, even though it is cold tea, it still brings a pleasant warm taste. Com non kem chuoi of Hen is also a suggestion for this summer - the sweet taste of chuoi combined with the rich aroma of sticky rice, I really like this combination and I am sure it will be a hot drink of the shop this summer. For those who want to drink coffee, the shop also has basic coffee cups, or if you want to be a little more unique, there is Bac xiu la pandan - this time the strong flavor of Phin coffee will be combined with the fatty, rich, sweet flavor of pandan leaves. From the space to the food, everything makes me satisfied. I personally like cute, chill restaurants, eating while enjoying the view, Ivegan is covered in an extremely pleasant green color. Today I ordered Bun Tron, Vegan Katsu Burger, Smoothie Bowl, 3 bottles of Detox with 3 different flavors, but each flavor is delicious. Oh, the restaurant uses Oatside Oat milk, which is hot, so I also ordered Capuchino, the flavor is completely different from other places. The total loss for 3 people is a bit much, but each person is less than 150 cups, because the portion is quite large, so if you go to the restaurant, order a little less, it's okay, don't leave leftovers like us. #historicallandmarks #localguides #goodfoods #foodphotography #coffeeshop #cafe

Maison Centrale: Echoes of Hanoi

Maison Centrale: Echoes of Hanoi

Maison Centrale, often referred to as the Hanoi Hilton, is a stark reminder of Vietnam's tumultuous history. Situated in the heart of Hanoi, this former prison's imposing walls encase stories of resilience, endurance, and human spirit. Originally established by the French colonialists to house Vietnamese political prisoners, it later became infamous during the Vietnam War as a detention center for American POWs. As you navigate the corridors and cells, the museum meticulously documents the harrowing conditions prisoners endured, making it an emotionally charged experience. Lifelike mannequins, personal artifacts, and detailed accounts give visitors a profound understanding of the prisoners' lives. Particularly poignant is the contrast between the narratives of the colonial era and the Vietnam War, offering a holistic perspective on the prison's role over the years. While the content is undeniably heavy, it is also a testament to the indomitable spirit of those who were incarcerated here. Maison Centrale serves not only as a historical monument but also as a place of reflection, reminding visitors of the high costs of freedom and the importance of understanding and remembering the past. For history enthusiasts and those seeking a deeper insight into Vietnam's narrative, this prison-museum is an essential stop on the Hanoi itinerary. #familytravel #couplestrip #deliciousfood #칼라운지 #Hanoi #Vietnam

TRẠM COFFEE & TEA

TRẠM COFFEE & TEA

#vietnamtrip Found another coffee shop that suits your taste, if you also like to sit in a sidewalk cafe, facing a street with few people passing by, then you have the same taste as me. I learned about Tram when I passed by, if you don't pay close attention, you might miss it because compared to the clothing store sign above, Tram's sign is more hidden. The space is small but has the advantage of a wide, airy sidewalk area. Inside the bar area, there are a few seats where you can watch the Barista make the drink and chat about coffee. Son Tay street is already quiet, but on a weekend morning it is even more poetic, with less traffic and less noise and dust than the big streets. Most of the customers come here because they like the peace that this street brings, sitting all day without getting bored *The drink menu at Tram focuses a lot on coffee, but besides that, there are creative cups of coffee for those who are not used to drinking a lot of coffee. I tried Tram Bap - a new combination of the bitterness of coffee and the richness of corn. When I brought it to my nose, the first thing I thought of was the cinema with signature popcorn. In addition, Cold Brew Berry and Hibiscus berries are also two dishes that I think are quite good and you should try. The shop's Matcha Latte uses Oatside milk, suitable for those who have a sweet tooth (or you can reduce the sugar as you like). Address: 7 SON TAY, BA DINH, HA NOI, VIETNAM

276A Nghi Tam, Tay Ho, Hanoi ⏰: 8am-11pm 💸 40-65K I was free to wander around West Lake and discovered a familiar shop that changed its decor, so I had to turn around and take a few photos. I have to say that Moment really changes its decor, it's almost summer so there's a corner like a beach vacation. Inside, there's a corner like taking a lookbook in a studio, so cute. The drinks are beautifully decorated, highly recommend the pandan dishes for you guys, they're fragrant and extremely unique. #historicallandmarks #localguides #goodfoods #foodphotography #coffeeshop #cafe
