A Visit to the Renowned Sushi Dai Honkan in Tsukiji Market, Tokyo

After snapping photos of Tokyo Tower at Shiba Park around 8 pm, I found out that Sushi Dai Honkan, just outside Tsukiji Market, was still open. I made it there just before closing, and thanks to the rainy weather, I avoided the usual queues (last time it was over an hour wait). I went straight for the 'Chef's Choice' set A, which included a hearty serving of 9 nigiri sushi, 2 tamagoyaki, 6 tekka maki, plus 2 pieces of my choice, accompanied by miso soup and tea. (The restaurant only allows photos of the food, and since the chef spoke in Japanese, I focused on enjoying the meal). For my two additional nigiri, I selected fatty tuna and scallop from the special menu. The combination of the fatty sweetness and the vinegared rice was so good that I nearly devoured each piece in one go! Unlike Sushi Dai at Toyosu Market, which requires an early morning visit to secure a queue ticket, this main branch a short distance from Tsukiji Market's outer area attracts fewer tourists and more local Japanese patrons, particularly in the evenings after work. (If you're willing to wait, you're guaranteed a spot). Having not tried the Toyosu location, I can't make a direct comparison, but the no-wait experience here is undoubtedly a win. I was the last diner of the night and left right after my meal, feeling incredibly lucky! Business hours: 10:30-22:00 Address: 6 Chome-21-2 Tsukiji, Chuo City, Tokyo 104-0045 Japan

Tokyo's niche cherry blossom viewing park to avoid crowds with your dog|||

|||Tokyo's niche cherry blossom viewing park with your dog🌸|||Sharing a niche park where you can enjoy cherry blossoms and have a dog run with your dog on the weekend⛲️ Located in Toneri Park, Adachi Ward, Tokyo 🌿Compared to popular cherry blossom spots like Ueno and Meguro River, there are fewer people, and the park is huge, covering 640,000 square meters🈶There are tennis courts, basketball courts, and you can also have a dog run with your dog🐶 The cherry blossoms are incredibly beautiful, with about 1,000 cherry trees planted, including Yoshino cherry trees as well as other varieties such as Kanhi-zakura and Weeping cherry trees, which are very diverse🌸Many of the cherry blossoms are low and great for taking photos📷You can also picnic🧺, rest with a coffee☕️, or camp🏕️under the cherry trees and enjoy the cherry blossoms quietly with your dog🌸 The park is easily accessible with a parking lot🚗 and direct access to Toneri Park Station by subway🚇. 🇯🇵 Japanese neighbourhood

The alley nearby Shin Udon towards Azuki to Kouri is lovely. It is a short 7 minutes walk between these 2 shops so it is also easy to plan your reservation timing. Along this street, there are also many cafes and restaurants too. There are housing apartment on the upper level and towards to the next street, there are private housing too. You can also spot expensive cars at the parking lots and there is even a Thailand tuk-tuk outside the Thai restaurant. The roads in Japan are easy to walk because it has been planned for both pedestrian and cyclist to walk on the side. You will also pass by a train track and this is controlled by traffic lights so when the train is passing by, the access is closed. #wheretogo #japan #tokyo #liveyourdreams #takethattrip

A stunning irises hidden garden in the heart of Tokyo

#tokyotravel Many visitors know about Meiji Jingu shrine as a must go spot around Shibuya and Harajuku, but not many know about a small inner garden inside a bigger shrine area. The entrance is not that obvious, therefore many visitors just pass it by, while it is a true gem, especially in summer. The garden has a much longer history than the main shrine, and offers a beautiful well-maintainded Japanese garden. The best time to visit is late May - late June when the iris garden is in full bloom and the pond is full of water lilies. 🕰️Business Hours: 09:00 - 16:30 💰Average Price per Person: 500 yen (maintenance donation) 💞Reasons to Recommend: wonderful tea house, stunning Japanese garden, no crowds. #historicallandmarks #localguides #japanesegarden

Strawberry Dreams at Brewer's Coffee & Bar🍓

#getgoing2025 I visited Brewer's Coffee & Bar in the ANA InterContinental Tokyo with a friend on a weekday evening, and it was a strawberry lover's paradise! The buffet was bursting with beautifully crafted strawberry-themed sweets, from creamy tarts to fluffy cakes and even delicate mousses. Everything looked almost too good to eat! What made this buffet extra special was the elegant afternoon tea-style stand provided at each table. You could pick your favorites from the buffet and create your own picturesque display. It was not just about the flavors (which were amazing) but also about the fun of arranging your desserts. The atmosphere was stylish yet cozy, and the service was impeccable. Whether you’re looking for a sweet treat or a unique experience with friends, this strawberry buffet is a must-try. Why I Recommend It: A wide variety of stunning strawberry desserts that taste as good as they look. The tea stand adds a personalized and creative touch to the buffet experience. 📍Address: 1 Chome-12-33 Akasaka, Minato City, Tokyo 107-0052 ⋆ ・⋆ ・⋆ ・⋆ ・⋆ #trip #travel #traveling #Tokyo #Japan

A Cozy Weekend Breakfast at One More☕️

#getgoing2025 I visited One More in Kōtō-ku, Hirai, on a Saturday morning, and it was such a great start to my day! The café was buzzing with locals, yet the vibe was relaxed and comfortable, making it a perfect spot for a laid-back breakfast. I ordered their French toast with a slice of lemon on top, and it was simply delicious. The toast was soft, sweet, and fluffy, with just the right amount of citrus to balance the flavors. It was simple, but so satisfying. Plus, the portion size was generous, leaving me completely full and happy. **Why I recommend One More Café:** 1. Cozy, local atmosphere—great for relaxing mornings. 2. Delicious, hearty portions at reasonable prices. 📍Address: 5 Chome−22−11 Hirai, Edogawa City, Tokyo, 〒132-0035 ⋆ ・⋆ ・⋆ ・⋆ ・⋆ #trip #travel #traveling #Tokyo #Japan

Curled up in a pod, just like the Japanese!

Stayed there for 1 night to experience the capsule culture in Japan. #1nightisenough 1. The place is well located, within walking distance from the train station. 2. The pod is clean and has a private TV in it. #toobadidontunderstandjapanese 3. The bathroom was clean with toiletries provided. 4. The Downside was that it was hard to sleep at night as it got nosier with travellers returning late.
