Stunning Harbour View!
A short getaway staycation at The Magellan Sutera was kinda amazing! The stunning harbour view is just incredible! The swimming pool area one of the best in Malaysia, its huge and can accommodate all the hotel guests. We just spend whole day here enjoying the view and the swimming pool! The rooms is abit old but the beds were very comfortable, if they can renovate abit will be perfect! Don’t miss the sunset harbour view, it’s just unforgettable! Overall very relaxing stay with 5 star harbour view! #staycation

Limited outlet in Sabah, and only can found in Suria Sabah Mall. Bring your kids try it out. No worries, there’s a lot choices of topping, just choose anything that you like. Recommended to come on Wednesday as they always offered a good deal on Wednesday. You can refer my last photo how the “Wednesday’s deal”. Go and try it out!

Location - Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. Attractions - Mamutik Island is one of the smallest and quietest islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park approximately 8km off the Kota Kinabalu coast of Sabah. This island stretched out about 200m of white sandy beach in length, which allows every visitor a fair share of space to swim freely without the worries of colliding with each other. A good place to relax by the beach without much disturbance for the entire day😉. Island hopping in Kota Kinabalu is truly possible! Learn to snorkel!
🏝️ Island Selection Before coming, I looked at some guides, mainly recommending 4 islands: Mermaid Island, Sapi Island, Manukan Island, and Mamutik Island. The choice was effortless because I only considered the distance It is said that it takes three hours to get to Mermaid Island, which means a six-hour round trip, so I didn't consider it without staying on the island; Sapi Island requires one hour, so two hours for a round trip, and thinking about my seasickness, I gave up. So my choices were narrowed down to Sapi Island and Manukan Island 🌟 Highlights I signed up for a one-day tour of Sapi + Manukan, starting at 8:30 in the morning, gradually filling up a car, about 10 people, and we were the last two. (It turns out that it's only a 10-minute walk from our hotel to Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal. Waiting for the speedboat 🚤 at the terminal, it took 15 minutes to reach Sapi, and the trip included a seafood buffet lunch. (Pretty bad First, we played some water sports at Sapi, and at 1 PM, we moved on to Manukan. There were obviously more fish 🐟 at Manukan, and even my husband, who is usually a landlubber, couldn't resist snorkeling. As for me, lying on the white sand, I was drowsy 😪 and very comfortable, with the ants on the sand being insignificant ☁️ We returned to the terminal around 4:40 PM and went back to the hotel 🏨, changed clothes, and went straight to watch the sunset, which we made in time. PS. 🏨 The Hyatt Regency Kinabalu is very convenient for transportation, just across the street from Suria Sabah Shopping Mall, where you can buy clothes directly if you didn't bring enough - and there are many restaurants worth checking in nearby: oldtown white coffee (everyone should go, just order anything ), Sin Kee Bak Kut Teh (the dry noodles and bak kut teh are really good), and the seafood 🦞 lobsters really need to be garlic-flavored!!!

Visiting to the Mari-Mari Cultural Village, this is an attraction where you can learn more about the tribes such as blowpipe-making demonstration, fire-starting demonstration using bamboo, tattoo-making demonstration, and get an in-depth look at the mystical symbolisms behind them. Visitors will also get chance to sample Sabahan traditional delicacies from each ethnic group. Highly recommend everyone to go for the package includes with the transportation (round-trip) as the village is located at a remote forest where it is extremely hard to get a taxi or grab. ⛳️ Jesselton Quay, Kota Kinabalu Booked for Seaview and look at the sunset!!! Stunning don’t you think? Thumb-up for the view. For first timer, the check-in procedure quite complicated and confusing. After done with the payment, the person in charge will give you an instruction on how to get the key. Make sure to double check which tower you’ve booked. Tower A or B? So, extra alert! This two tower will bring you to different place, once you go to the wrong tower, you won’t get your room key. How to get the key? First thing first, make sure you’re at the correct Tower according to your booking. Then, the next step is, you’ve to go to the top of the building (can’t remember which level), and there was a gym, go straight and you will see a lot of box (like the mailbox), inside that box there’s you room key. How to open the box? Don’t worry, the person in charge will provide you with the password once done with the booking. READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY! Once you’ve success with the key, then you’re free to go. Go where? To your room laaa😅. What I can say is, the room quite nice and similar like STUDIO ROOM concept. Got 2 bedroom. First bedroom can fit 3 person (1 queen bed & 1 single bed). Second bedroom can fit 2 person (1 queen bed). And, there also sofa bed outside the living room. But, only have one toilet, so you’ve to wait for your turn okay😂. (Fyi, different room have different interior design, so pick the one that you like.) Facilities: 1. Water heater 2. Refrigerator 3. Microwave 4. Netflix 5. Kitchenette 6. Towel 7. Bath and shower gel 8. Iron & Board Been stay here twice with different experience, different tower and view. #kotakinabalutrip No pork served. Been here three times and F&B quality, service is consistent. Had Garlic Toast and Curry Chicken with Toast + White Coffee (Hot & Cold). Lunchtime would be very crowded to the point that you may have to queue outside entrance door (waiting for available table). Place has AC but can be a little warm during after 2pm-4pm especially when shop is full with crowd, because shop is facing sunset direction. Has ground level & first floor level dining area. Variety of food & beverages offer (see photos). They even offer Dinner Menu which only be available after 6pm. A nice city kopitiam spot for a quick bite but parking is very limited from 8am-4pm daily
Quick getaway for Honeymoon (on budget!)
With budget as low as RM350, you've secured a great deal that comes together with free romantic dinner and yummy breakfast for 2! Also, we use our discount ticket at the well-known Mandara Spa, Buy 1 free 1 for all treatment. Indulging and pampering ourselves with the quick escape after our two-days of wedding reception was our best decision ever made. We jumped on the wedding wagon straight to Magellan Sutera Harbour the day after, welcomed with chocholate praline for two, then we head to the dock for our 30-mins sunset cruise. At 6pm, we went to the Mandara Spa and we picked the best time ever to soak in the floral bath! We got to enjoy the sunset view from the jacuzzi. After the spa, we had our romantic dinner at the Alfresco. Then, we had our best time in the huge bath tub in the bed room before sleeping. The two-days experience was amazing, the package is affordable and you can just simply book it on Sutera Harbour website!

✔️ Most hotels and restaurants are located near Gaya Street, or you can stay at Shangri-La Hotel, which is conveniently located near these two places. ✔️ It's the off-season in Kota Kinabalu, so there aren't many people even on weekends. You don't need to queue at attractions or restaurants. The cost for a 3-day, 2-night trip is less than MYR 3,000. Go for it! ✔️ The sea view here is very weather-dependent. It's really beautiful on sunny days. ✔️ The temperature is around 25 to 30 degrees Celsius, which is very comfortable. However, it can be windy sometimes, so remember to wear sunscreen and sunglasses! ✔️ Most attractions are located in and around the city, and are quite close to each other. A one-day tour can be a bit rushed, but a two-day, one-night weekend tour is more relaxing. ✔️ You can join a tour group! There are many one-day tours to choose from, such as the mangrove forest, Mantanani Island, or Mount Kinabalu. ✔️ Watch the sunset ▪️ Tanjung Aru Beach: You can take photos of the sunset with reefs, beaches, waves, and distant mountains. ▪️ Shangri-La Hotel Beach: The sunset here is as beautiful as Tanjung Aru Beach, and the photos are stunning. ✔️ Must-see attractions Mangrove forest (fireflies, sunset, and proboscis monkeys are not to be missed) Tanjung Aru Beach (the coastal road is also beautiful) Kinabalu Park Mantanani Island (island hopping, scuba diving, and snorkeling) Tanjung Aru sunset paddleboarding Gaya Street Night Market
