Manzamo Cape: A Coastal Attraction in Okinawa

Manzamo Cape, also known as 'Cape Manzamo,' is a popular tourist destination along the coast of Okinawa, famous for its elephant trunk-shaped rock formation. Visitors can take photos and enjoy the convenience of a parking area. Activities include walking along the paths, relaxing on the grassy areas, and admiring the cliff views. The cliff stands 20 meters high, and the contrast between the grass, the sea, and the sky is stunning. Despite the strong sun, the breeze makes it pleasantly cool. 'Manzamo' means 'a vast grassland.' Most visitors prefer to come in the evening to watch the sunset, but the daytime views are equally beautiful. There are also souvenir shops and food stalls available.

Hotel with Sauna and Pool in Okinawa

I stayed at the 'BEB5 Okinawa Seragaki by Hoshino Resorts' hotel in Okinawa! 📍 1860-4 Seragaki, Onna Village, Kunigami District, Okinawa Prefecture The hotel is cute and stylish from the exterior! The lounge extends outside, and many people were relaxing in the lounge! The rooms come with a kitchen, refrigerator, washer-dryer, and balcony, making it perfect for group trips or long stays! The interior was also lovely, and I looked forward to coming back every day! Although I didn't use them this time, the hotel also has a sauna, pool, and rental bicycles, so you can fully enjoy the facilities with a morning sauna and a night pool (heated pool in winter)! Access By highway: Naha Airport → Yaka IC → BEB (about 60 minutes) By general road: Naha Airport → via Route 58 → BEB (about 80 minutes) Airport Limousine Bus Naha Airport → in front of BEB (about 70 minutes, one way 1,730 yen) Okinawa Airport Shuttle Naha Airport → in front of Nabee Beach (about 110 minutes, one way 1,600 yen)

Okinawa is really fun! Making ceramics.

Oh my, oh my! This is the sound and situation of this trip! I'm so glad to have visited this southern part of Japan during the summer! The last time I came here was about 8 years ago. Back then, we didn't visit many places, but you can really feel how much this place has improved in terms of tourism. When we arrived in this area, the first place we visited was the must-see aquarium! Of course, as we drove through this small town, we stopped to buy ice cream. It's a must in the summer heat! But the best part here is making ceramics! We loved the whole activity because the whole family was happy and we all had a great time!

Okinawa's Ryūkyū Dance Culture Experience

#folkactivities #tradition #costume Experiencing Okinawa's Ryūkyū Dance became even more immersive when I dressed in traditional attire. Adorning myself in the vibrant, ornate costumes added a personal connection to the culture. The intricate patterns and colors not only made me feel like part of the performance but also deepened my appreciation for the artistry involved. Yotsudake is one of the traditional Ryukyu dances. The dancers wear a flower shaped hat, and a bingata kimono. They hold a pair of instruments similar to castanets which are made from four (yotsu) pieces of bamboo (take). They clap the yotsudake in time to the music. As I moved, I could feel the rhythm of the music and the spirit of the dance, making it a truly unforgettable way to engage with Okinawa's rich folk traditions. This hands-on experience allowed me to grasp the significance of the dance and its role in celebrating the island's history and community. #trip #100waysoftravel #japan #okinawa #culture #dance #history
