Sagano romantic train

Getting There - turn right after you come out from Saga-arashiyama station I would say this is the most enjoyable part of my Arashiyama experience. I initially thought tickets were sold out as the prebooked tickets were all gone. Read that some tickets might still be sold on the spot hence we reached at 8am. The ticket booth opens at 8.25am and there were probably 30-40 people infront of us. We managed to get tickets for the first train still, yay! The train ride isnt the cheapest or most comfortable. But the views more than make up for it. It was truly beautiful. We came in spring so there was cherry blossom. Would think that autumn will be even more beautiful. Another must do at Kyoto! #japan #kyoto #mustvisit #

Saihoji Temple——Japan Kyoto

Saihoji Temple——Japan Kyoto

Japan's temple belongs to the Rinzai sect of Tenryuji Temple in Japan. It is located in Matsuo Jingan Valley, Nishikyo-ku, Kyoto City, with the mountain name of Hongyin Mountain and also known as Koke Temple. The main statue is Amitabha Buddha. This temple was originally a villa of the legendary figure Prince Shotoku in the Asuka period. In the Nara period, the monk Gyoki built a temple here, initially called "Western Temple", and worshipped Amitabha Buddha. In the Heian period, the studying monk Kukai held a release ceremony here. When the Zen master Muchuan Shoseki took over, the temple name "Western" was changed to "Saiho", which comes from a sentence left by the founder of Zen, Bodhidharma: "The patriarch came from the west, and the five leaves are in full bloom." Kyoto's most famous Saiho-ji Temple, the inconspicuous moss in the eyes of ordinary people, can become a dominant force after being allowed to grow for 500 years. It is said that only 100 people are received every day, because too many people will prevent the moss from growing. Lin Daiyu likes moss, this shade-loving plant symbolizes loneliness. Steve Jobs loved it here, and it is said that he meditated here and realized the essence of the dry landscape of dream windows and sparse stones. Moss was originally something from the countryside, but it is actually extremely difficult to cultivate. It needs sunlight and water, but cannot be exposed to the sun or soaked excessively. It seems generous but is actually delicate, and everything needs to be just right. It is fortunate to have the chance to see it with your own eyes here, and be grateful for all the good luck.

Kinkaku-ji, Kyoto.

Kinkaku-ji, Kyoto.

Kinkaku-ji, Kyoto Kinkaku-ji, also known as Rokuon-ji, is a famous Zen temple with a history of hundreds of years. It was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1994 and is a must-visit place in Kyoto. The Japanese anime "Ikkyu" in my childhood was a monk in Kinkaku-ji. "Kinkaku-ji" is famous for its gold foil on the outside of the building. The biggest highlight of the entire temple is the golden main building. The Kinkaku-ji under the sunset is like a golden pearl erected in the middle of the landscape. The ticket for Kinkaku-ji is very interesting, it is a symbol. Walk into Kinkaku, watch the landscape and ancient temples, listen to the monks chanting, taste the Zen tea, and experience the beauty of tranquility. When it was first built in 1397, it was a villa for the shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu. The belly of Kinkaku-ji covers an area of about 130,000 square meters. The second and third floors of the pavilion are covered with gold foil, hence the name Kinkaku-ji. After the death of Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, in accordance with his will, this courtyard was transformed into a Zen temple. The eye-catching Kinkaku was built to enshrine the Buddha. There is another shrine on the second floor, enshrining the compassionate Guanyin Bodhisattva. The fruit popsicles and gold foil matcha ice cream outside Kinkaku-ji are delicious! Recommended!

Fushimi Inari / Kyoto, Japan

1. Address - Fushimi Inari Highlights - Red torii gates / Fox statues Rating - 7/10 ⛩️ If you have plans to fly to Osaka, take a side trip to the neighboring city of Kyoto to see the legendary red torii gates and the fox statues that are symbolic according to Japanese folklore. Actually, the path lined with gates is very long. If you want to walk to the end, it takes almost an hour and a half. For those who like to check in and take photos, you can just walk around the beginning area. It's quite a vibe, haha. When you go up, you'll find a shrine and spots selling charming amulets and wooden plaques for writing wishes, featuring foxes. Around the area, there are food stalls and restaurants lined up for you to try and fill up on. The temple location is a bit far from Kyoto city center. If you're going to Nara, stopping by Fushimi Inari and then heading to Kyoto city is a recommended route.

Hot coffee in cold weather ☕️☕️

#2024wish #coffee #coldweather #arashiyama #kyoto #japan #couplestrip #awesomepic #hotdrink Ueshima Coffee House is a two-storey shop located near to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and walk from the Saga-Arashiyama Station, it will be lesser than 600 m only (6-8 minutes walk). In fact, they are the dealer of the coffee beans and all the coffees they made are using those beans. If you going to Arashiyama and would like to get a shelter from the cold weather after visiting all the tourist spots, this cafe will definitely the best choice for you. The ambience is super nice and instagrammable, or if you want to enjoy the street view, they are offering the outdoor seating as well!!! Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ In 2024, I would like to travel to Perth, Australia.

Kimono Experience at Kyoto, Japan 🇯🇵

Kimono Experience at Kyoto, Japan 🇯🇵

Visited Japan during December, arrived at Kyoto and headed for Kiyomizu-dera!!! Previously experienced Yukata and the usual Kimonos. Very excited to try on the Furisode-Kimono (Kimono with longer sleeves) this time!!! There are many kimono renting stores in the area, but through thorough research and comparing prices before the trip, we decided to make a reservation online at Okamoto Kiyomizu-dera Shop. We went around the area in our Kimono, took a lot of photos and tried out some authentic Matcha 🍵 and Hojicha desserts.
