Traveling by Train in Germany

Traveling to Europe, taking the train is a great choice. Europe's rail network connects the continent, and with high-speed trains, you can travel from one country to another in just two to three hours. Moreover, train stations are usually located in city centers. This time, I took the train from the Czech Republic to Berlin. Berlin is a historic city with plenty to see, and its zoo is also a lot of fun.

Berlin is probably one of the cheapest European capitals to visit. Hotels here are on average 50% cheaper than in other western capital cities. 3 nights in a 3* hotel near KaDeWe was just over €120 for three nights incl breakfast. Magnificent value! Must sees are Berlin Wall (U/SBahn Warschauer Str), KaDeWe (UBahn Wittenberge Platz) and TV Tower (U/SBahn Alexanderplatz). Make sure to try local Döner (kebab). Currywurst is one of the famous food in Berlin. You can find many restaurant around Alexanderplatz have this many Das Grill Haus located in Alexanderplatz, just in front of Neptunbrunnen. You can eat outdoor around there with a great atmosphere. The famous dish is Currywurst with Pomme. I recommend you to try! #hotelreview Estrel Berlin is an interesting stay in Berlin. It's Germany's largest hotel and entertainment complex with multiple restaurants, bars and a large conference center. The hotel's rooms are pretty standard, but they have a large fitness centre and lots of shows over the weekends. It's also known for hosting the annual Eurovision Song Contest - a hub if you're seeking convenience and entertainment options in the Berlin city.

FANTABULOUS REICHSTAG DOME 🇩🇪

The Germans really know how to recreate something so extraordinary after it has been decimated. Reichstag is a prime example of that. This Parliament has kept it's exteriors unchanged while modernising everything from within. The glass dome meant to fill enough light in the building is a great example of sustainable architecture. Great views from the top and free audio guide is the icing on the cake. Right security though. Also prior appointments only. So, apply well in time to avoid disappointments. A must visit. My most favorite activity in Berlin is finding a good Eins shop. One place i found was in Alexanderplazt just in front of tv tower. There are many flavours. I tried Bueno and it was so great :) Seller is nice and well English spoken. Berlin's Hidden Gem: DDR Museum

On Monday, I had set aside a day to visit all the museums on Museum Island, but unfortunately, many of them were closed as Monday is a public holiday. I recommend checking the opening hours before planning your visit to avoid disappointment. 😅 The DDR Museum is located right across from Berlin Cathedral. There are many foreign visitors, so expect a queue, but you can buy tickets online in advance. The exhibits are both interesting and informative, making it a great visit for those interested in this period of history. The museum offers information in Chinese, which is quite convenient. This museum mainly focuses on the division of Berlin by the Western Allies and the Soviet Union after World War II, with a particular emphasis on East Berlin and East Germany under Soviet control. The historical explanations are thought-provoking and insightful.

On the first Sunday of August, museums are free, but you need to make an appointment online. So I came to the German Museum of Technology, and I was attracted by the plane hanging on the top floor from the outside!!! ⬇️ The plane hanging on the top floor✈️ The plane on the top floor looks very impressive from outside the museum. ⬇️ 1:100 scale model of Zheng He's voyages This model is so exquisite! As soon as I entered the exhibition hall about ships, I was immediately attracted by it! ⬇️ Indoor airplane exhibits on the top floor Each floor displays a different category, with the top floor dedicated to airplane exhibits. The floors are arranged in the order of water, land, and air from bottom to top. ⬇️ Airplane cockpit It would be great if we could sit inside and experience it! ⬇️ A propeller of a certain airplane ⬇️ A painting with an idea It seems to be a painting created from people's fantasies about flying in the sky, which later led to the invention of tools like hot air balloons that float in the air. ⬇️ Science Center Spectrum The experience here is super strong! Highly recommend visiting the Science Center Spectrum when you go to the Technology Museum. ⬇️ Taking advantage of Germany's 9-euro monthly ticket, plus a friend made an appointment for free museum visits on Sunday. We went to Berlin on Sunday to see the German Museum of Technology, and it was really quite interesting. I had never seen Zheng He's ship before, but I didn't expect to see it in this museum. How should I put it, for someone like me who lacks knowledge of history, seeing this ship, a real object in front of me, made me recall history. Standing next to the ship model, I reviewed my knowledge about Zheng He again. Seeing the real object and relearning the knowledge makes the memory deeper. Compared to this Technology Museum, the adjacent Spectrum Center offers a stronger experience. It reminded me of the Copernicus Science Center in Poland. Both focus on experiential learning.
