#europetrip Very spacious restaurant in a great location with good vegetarian/vegan food. The coffee and the brunch were delicious and came with a lot of food. We went on a Saturday morning and it wasn't busy but I would recommend to book a table if going with a group. Very nice place to enjoy a beverage and relax for a bit. Very good location. The pastries are from out of this world.

Basel's best

Many people underestimate Basel and use it just as a gate to the triple border with France and Germany, but if you give a chance to the city you will see how many attractions there are waiting for you 😃 The historic city center with its cabbleston streets and flowers everywhere has unique charm. The crazy Tinguely fountain, modern art, graffiti, nice shops and the river among others will bring you unforgettable memories 😎 #voyagevibes #100waysoftravel #basel #switzerland #europetrip

#europetrip They sometimes offer amazing live music evenings, keep an eye on the banner in front of the bar where they announce their Jazz evenings, it's probably the best jazz you can find in Basel! This cafe is self serve, but a must visit. The food is delicious and the atmosphere on the terrace is lovely. Be warned, it's a favorite among the locals and getting a table can be challenging. Definitely worth the visit.

Basel

Basel

Basel is the third largest city in Switzerland, after Zurich and Geneva, and is the capital of the canton of Basel-Stadt. It is located at the tri-border area of northwest Switzerland, bordering Alsace in France to the northwest, and the Black Forest mountain range in Germany to the northeast; the Rhine River flows northeast through the city, dividing Basel into two parts, with the larger territory on the western bank known as Greater Basel and the smaller area on the eastern bank as Lesser Basel. The city center of Basel is formed around the Town Hall and the University of Basel, which was established in the 14th century. Narrow streets and alleys, and the bridges built over the Rhine River due to its division, are characteristic of Basel. Apart from trams that carry passengers, there are no motorized vehicles allowed in the city center.

Kunsthalle Basel 🗺️

#2024wish Just experienced an art-filled day at Kunsthalle Basel! 🎨🏛️ The CHF 15 entrance fee was a reasonable investment for the contemporary art exploration it provided. #BaselArtScene #KunsthalleAdventures The Kunsthalle's exhibitions are thought-provoking, showcasing a dynamic mix of contemporary artists pushing boundaries. The rotating exhibits ensure there's always something new to discover. 🔄🔍 The space itself is an artistic canvas – the minimalist design enhances the impact of each exhibit. It's a refreshing break from traditional museum layouts, creating an immersive and interactive experience. 🖼️✨ After the Kunsthalle, a stroll to the Rhine River promenade offers a scenic view of Basel's old town. The vibrant atmosphere along the river is a perfect way to continue the artistic journey. 🏞️🚶♀️ The nearby Tinguely Fountain, featuring whimsical kinetic sculptures, is a playful detour. The sculptures' movement and water features add a touch of magic to the public space. 🤖💦 The Basel Paper Mill, located nearby, is a cultural gem. The historic building houses the Swiss Museum for Paper, Writing, and Printing, offering a fascinating look into the world of paper production. 📜🏛️ The Kunsthalle Café is a cozy spot for a post-art refreshment. The outdoor terrace is perfect for soaking in the Basel atmosphere while discussing the exhibits. ☕🍰 Whether you're an art enthusiast or just looking for a contemporary cultural experience, Kunsthalle Basel is a must-visit. The reasonable entrance fee, diverse exhibits, and nearby attractions make it a standout destination in this vibrant Swiss city! #ContemporaryArtMagic #BaselArtistry

#europetrip An outstanding cafe! There are many varieties of beans available to buy and each variety is described in detail about its properties and origin. You can also enjoy delicious cups of coffee here and enjoy a really tasty dessert. There are a few seats here. The café is very easy to reach and for me, as a passionate coffee connoisseur, it is a MUST in Basel.

#europetrip Wow! Young and hip spot with a seriously good menu…. ☺️Both food and coffee drinks. Super trendy space inside and out.. Shakshuka was a revelation, especially with their tasty bread to dip in it. Seems to be in an up and coming / gentrifying neighborhood and worth the trek from the old town or nearby tram/trolly stops. Really recommend 😍😉😉😉😉

#europetrip Simply brilliant and comfortable. I was invited to have brunch here as a birthday present. The food was very fine. The plate, or rather the board, was filled with various fine delicacies. The little pancakes are delicious. The ambience was simple, but that's what makes it so special. A very relaxed, cozy atmosphere. You almost don't want to leave here anymore. The staff is extremely friendly and customer-oriented. This is exactly what you want in every restaurant.

#europetrip Family-friendly place for bakery products and brunch with your friends. They offer various interesting brunch sets. All portions are quite generous and food quality is high. If you finish bread you can actually get some more! I absolutely loved all the nice animal drawings on our cappuccinos. The place has lots of space and seats both inside and outside. It's simple but pretty.
