Annyeonghaseyo (Hello) Seoul, Korea!

✈️From Kuala Lumpur to Seoul will took about 6hrs. Highlight of the trip: ❤️Nami Island: Absolutely beautiful no matter what time of the year you visit! You first need to purchase a ticket to to ride the ferry. The ferry is smooth with beautiful scenery. Once you arrive, you are free to explore. There is a really cool history about the island. Winter Sonata, a very famous K-drama was filmed there and they even have a statue for a photo opportunity. 🦀 King Crab: This is my first time eating such a big crab! I went to Noryangjin Fish Market through subway. Vendors offered with 60,000 to 35,000 won per kilo (2.2 lbs) for king crab. Price wise is quite expensive however the experience is even pricer! #solotravel

Onion? Onion

Went to the highly raved onion cafe in seoul. It took us 15-30 mins plus to get in and the staff were really nice. Food was amazing??!! The coffee is *chef kiss*, honestly so much better than sbux. They had a really nice range of interesting and creative pastries to try. Price wise; it isnt very expensive, comparable to usual cafe prices. To take note its really crowded as the anguk outlet is in the city and near major tourist attractions. The other is in a suburb (so its quieter). Recommend: If you enjoy cafe vibe, a foodie or just a curious cat. Do check them out. Cost: $$

Address: 21 Myeongdong 7-gil, Seoul, South Korea Opening Hours: Monday to Friday 11.30am to 10pm, Saturday & Sunday 12pm to 9pm A popular barbeque place inside Myeongdong and you might miss it if you are first timer here. It is located in the basement so you have to take the stairs down. You can locate Metro Hotel and then find Heuk Dong Ga from Jeju easily, it is a Jeju barbeque style restaurant and you will grill your own meat here. As always, a 2 persons order is minimum order and you can have free flow side dishes. Bukchon Hanok Village is a traditional Korean village located in the heart of Seoul, South Korea. Situated between Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace, two of the main royal palaces from the Joseon Dynasty, the village was traditionally home to high-ranking government officials and nobility. 🇰🇷 Myeongdong BBQ

A great place to have my super after late night shopping at Myeongdong. In Myeongdong, you can always get away with mandarin as most staff here are Chinese or they speak Chinese. Also, this is a tourist area and most of the menu has English and Chinese translation. So it is always easy to shop and eat in Myeongdong. This restaurant serves all the standard Korean food and the staff is kind enough to suggest I order the bulgogi instead of the pork belly bbq. She was also afraid I couldn't finish the pork belly by myself. Please grant my wish to revisit Seoul in 2023! #2023travelwish #mytripvlog #seoul #korea

Cheongsudang Cafe 🎋

#seoul Cheongsudang Cafe is a charming Hanok-style cafe located in Ikseon-dong Hanok Village, just a short walk from Jongno 3-ga station. One of its distinctive features is the bamboo forest at the entrance, which creates a tranquil atmosphere and leads visitors through a path of stepping stones and lanterns to the main area of the cafe. Inside, customers can choose between several seating options, such as tatami mats or a main table adorned with plants as a centerpiece. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with wooden beams, traditional decorations, and soft lighting. However, it's worth noting that the cafe has a policy of requiring customers to order one drink and cake per person in order to dine there when I was there in October 2022.

#seoultrip My visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul was an enchanting journey into Korea's royal history and architectural splendor. The palace's location is striking, surrounded by majestic mountains and the contemporary buzz of Seoul. The highlight of my visit was the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the main gate, a vibrant and ceremonial display that transported me to an era of royal traditions. Exploring the palace grounds revealed meticulously preserved structures like Geunjeongjeon Hall and Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, each adorned with vibrant colors and intricate detailing. The serene beauty of the Hyangwonjeong Pavilion, set against the backdrop of Buyongji Pond, offered a tranquil escape within the bustling city. Nearby attractions include the National Folk Museum of Korea and the picturesque Bukchon Hanok Village, allowing for a deeper exploration of Korea's rich cultural tapestry. Gyeongbokgung Palace is not just a historical site; it's a living testament to Korea's regal past. Cafe Onion Anguk 🇰🇷

Cafe Onion is one of the most well-known cafes in Korea. This is the Cafe Onion Anguk. Cafe Onion Anguk has a traditional architecture with a mix of modern elements. Known as the mix of past and present. We ordered their iconic signature, pandoro. I didn't find anything special in it tho lol We also had dark chocolate & maldon salt, salty caramel cake, and Olive Bacon. The pizza is good, try it. Their coffee is regular, we had cafe latte and cappucino. Overall experience, 6/10. Getting there: The nearest subway station is Anguk Station on Line 3. It’s a short walk from Exit 2/3. #seoultrip

Gyeongbokgung Palace 🇰🇷 Korea

#seoultrip Gyeongbokgung Palace is about 15/20 minutes walk birth of the Myeong Dong district. On the way there you'll walk past City Hall and two huge statues. A little bit like Pall Mall in London. On arrival you'll be greeted by a huge grand gate and courtyard. This area is free to enter and the ticket for the palace is around $3 per person. Once inside there is a maze of traditional Chinese style buildings, with mountains peaking out from behind. If you can arrive early in the morning. opening time was 9:00, it is very peaceful and relaxing way to start the day. I'd reccomnd visiting the palace, but I would only out 30/40 in your itinerary for this spot as Seoul has so much to offer.

A shopping / food paradise in Myeongdong
