Luckily, the moment I went there, it wasn’t that too touristy. Less people and I could say the locals were so open and excited to welcome the tourist. I explored it with a friend, we hired a local to be our driver and he toured us around. We found some interesting places that you couldn’t even have heard maybe before. Those rocks 🪨 with it’s different uniqueness shapes and story behind. You’ll definitely be fascinated by it. On the other hand, be sure to have an extra precaution with safety. This is only one of the many natural wonders in Enshi. You can easily spend half-day exploring this mountain. And like all other mountains tourists’ destinations in China, you can take the cable-car up, the path is well-built with clear signs, there are plenty of stairs to climb (instead of hiking through bushes and wilderness). Nevertheless, the view is wonderful. Take some time to stop and just look around -and breathe. One of the must-visit, underrated, destination of China! Tips: as this is not an internationally known tourist spot (like Guilin or Zhangjiaje), most restaurants and hotels staff are unable to understand any English. Get yourself a good translator or just master a basic conversational skills :) Tips 2: this place may not bee too popular to international tourists, but really popular among locals!
