Bathing in Budapest's thermal baths is diving into the soul of a city. Under Baroque domes, soak alongside locals in millennia-old thermal waters, where warmth dissolves time and distance. It's both a social plaza and a healing space, turning travel into a warm, immersive journey for body and mind.

Try hard to not get excited (explained)

Try hard to not get excited (explained)

Budapest is an amazing city with beautiful buildings and many places to visit and walk. As I mentioned in the tittle, please do try hard to not get too excited and visit everything in one day, you will end exhausted as we did. we woke up very early and we fall into the flow of following all the highlights. The Budapest Castle is a bit far away so have in mind to make a few breaks from time to time an get a drink. There are also plenty of funny statues around the city that make your walk a fun time spend. Finally, even if this area is popular for meat lovers, Vegan people are very welcome. We found very awesome restaurants with many tasty vegan options. We will definitely return for the ice skating experience!

Borkonyha - one Michelin star ⭐️

Borkonyha Wine Kitchen, is a fine dining restaurant located at H-1051 BUDAPEST, SAS UTCA 3. Awarded by Michelin one star and Gault & Millau two hats. Do make advance reservation before heading down as they only open from Tuesday to Friday, as for menu, I would recommend to try their 5 courses degustation menu at 26,000 Ft. Appertizer: recommend the perch, cauliflower with buttermilk, it tastes so good!! Soup: artichoke broth with quail is awesome!! Main course: fresh fish with broccoli and dill, and angus beef is highly recommended. Dessert: can try the chocolate, pear and porcini mushroom Overall the dishes are nicely plated, served with premium ingredients, worth a try! #deliciousfood#romanticrestaurant

Amazing Budapest!! 🎉

Budapest is one of my most favourite cities! It’s an architecture heaven! Buzzing nightlife & all that. Had a day trip in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. And I stayed in a party hostel where sleeping wasn’t allowed! Yes they told me if you want to sleep this isn’t the right place for you! There was loud music all night and literally no sleep at all! After seeing all the sights during day, went for a boat ride at late night and we had free unlimited cocktails! It was a night to remember as fireworks went on over the river as people were dancing through the night! When you think of Budapest, just think about the fun. #passionpassport #staycation #budapest #gooutside

🏰VIEW FROM THE FORTRESS 🏰

📍 FISHERMAN’s BASTION It took approximately two decades to complete the neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque structure. In 1902, it was opened to the public. The bastion houses an equestrian statue of Stephen I, and the terrace includes seven towers that commemorate the seven Magyar tribes who formed Hungary. The Fisherman's Bastion offers one of the best panoramic views of the Hungarian Parliament, as well as the Danube River and Margaret Island. You will not only be able to take the best shots of the landscape and the Bastion if you visit this majestic monument shortly before dark, but you will also be able to appreciate the breathtaking vistas of Pest lit up. #budapest #wanderlust #travellikelocal #cityoverlook #europe #hungary #majeanmarvels

FINEST ART MUSEUM 👌🏻🇭🇺

📍Museum of Fine Arts The Museum of Fine Arts, one of Budapest's top museums, is the most iconic structure in Heroes' Square, facing the Palace of Art. It was built by the plans of Albert Schickedanz and Fülöp Herzog in an eclectic-neoclassical style, between 1900 and 1906. The Museum of Fine Arts, housed in a grand Renaissance-style building that reopened in late 2018 after three years of renovations, houses the city's most outstanding collection of foreign works of art, ranging from ancient Egyptian art to stellar collections of Spanish, Flemish, Italian, and German art. For the first time in four decades, it also contains Hungarian art. The collection's nucleus is Count Miklós Esterházy's private collection, which was purchased by the state in 1870. The next time I set foot in this historical city, I will surely visit this and the other 56+ museums and exhibitions in Budapest. #budapest #majeanmarvels #majeanwanders #solotravel #cities #europe #europeanarchitecture

Budapest Heroes’ Square

Budapest Heroes’ Square

Heroes' Square, is one of the major squares in Budapest, Hungary, noted for its iconic Millennium Monument with statues featuring the Seven chieftains of the Magyars and other important Hungarian national leaders, as well as the Memorial Stone of Heroes, often erroneously referred as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The square lies at the outbound end of Andrássy Avenue next to City Park.

Gellért Thermal Bath & Tokaji

Gellért Thermal Bath & Tokaji

There are several famous thermal baths in the city centre of Budapest. Széchenyi Thermal Bath is the most famous one, and of course, there will be lots of people and pricey. Instead, I went to Gellért Gyógyfürdő és Uszoda, which opens at 4 in the morning, so I went there at 5. They’ll provide a key so you can put your stuff in there. Take good care of yourself as you should bring some water in in case of dehydration. The Tokaji is cheap and a must-buy product in Budapest.

Do not miss the night of Budapest. Seeing from each side of the river, is different. Pity not bring my Cannon, the night photo is not reflecting the real beauty of the architecture. In short, well worth a chill walk after dinner alone the river. #budapest

Budapest Bo18 Hotel Experience

Budapest Bo18 Hotel Experience

🏨✨Bo18 Hotel 📍🌍Vajdahunyad u. 18, Budapest, Hungary The weekend we arrived in Budapest, we chose Bo18 Hotel. As soon as we stepped into the hotel, we felt a warm welcome and completely relaxed🥰. The location is convenient, located on a quiet street, just a few minutes' walk from the subway station and shopping mall. Bo18 Hotel is in a great location, surrounded by many restaurants and shops. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel to the old town, with subways and trams along the way. The hotel has a modern exterior and a stylish interior✨. As soon as we arrived at the front desk, the staff enthusiastically offered us free drinks, which was very thoughtful😊. The lobby is modern and comfortable, with a lounge area, gym, and sauna, making it feel like home🏡. The room is very comfortable and modern. The room we stayed in was air-conditioned, spacious, bright, and very clean👏. The bed in the room was just the right firmness, and we had a good night's sleep every night. The TV also had Netflix, which was a bonus📺. The bathroom was well-equipped, with all the toiletries you could need. The nearby Corvin Plaza shopping mall is a good choice, just a two-minute walk away. In the morning, we enjoyed a hearty buffet breakfast at the hotel, with a variety of fresh bread, cheese, yogurt, jam, and more🥐. The champagne, in particular, gave us a strong holiday vibe🥂. While in Budapest, the surrounding attractions are not to be missed. We visited Fisherman's Bastion, Shoes on the Danube Bank, and Heroes' Square. Each place has its own unique charm and is truly breathtaking🌟. The restaurants near the hotel are also highly recommended, such as Zincenco Kitchen, Beerstro 14, and Vegazzi Specialty Pizzeria, which provided a lot of enjoyment for our taste buds😋. In short, Bo18 Hotel is an excellent hotel in terms of location and service. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I come to Budapest💖.

Budapest MUST See ✨

When you visit Budapest, you must go and see the Fisherman’s Bastion with the Matthias Church! Whether you go at night or during the day, the view is amazing to the Parliament. Plus, sometimes you get to listen to some LIVE classical music of street musicians, which just makes the whole experience more romantic. This is one of my favorite places to see every time I’m in the city. During the day you can roam around in the Castle District, have some amazing strudel in one of the hidden streets and enjoy to architecture of the area. At night, take a romantic walk with your loved one or just roam around alone and soak in the beauty of the city. I love taking a walk there - alone or with someone else, just because I love taking in the beauty of both sides of the city. ✨ #wintergetaway #awesomepic #citylife #visitbudapest #budapest #wonderfulbudapest
