We returned to this hotel for the 6th time this year and once again were made to feel welcome and at home. The standout feature of this hotel is the staff; they are reliably hard-working, friendly and approachable. If you have a request or an issue then just ask and they'll do their best to help, even if it's a bit odd. We enjoyed a dessert so much that we asked the chef for the recipe, and he kindly brought us a typed recipe the next day! Location: The hotel is located in a cliff face at a small fishing village called Zivogosce. It's peaceful and absolutely stunning. The sunsets never cease to captivate, even after years of going. The location is fairly remote; which is a blessing and a curse. It's quiet, very safe and the people there are pleasant and accommodating. However, it's not a place for the night life and the transfer from the airport is a couple of hours. Perfect for anyone looking to relax. The geography does mean that there are an unavoidable number of stairs in the hotel; and while there are some lifts if you have mobility issues this may not be the destination for you. If you are trying to work off the meals, though, this is a great way to get your steps in! The local village has a bakery (which is open very early), a couple of bars, two mini-mart style shops and a lovely walk along the water. The nearby villages have regular fisherman's evenings with music, BBQ fish and a party which lets you get a bit of local colour. Rooms: We stayed in a Junior Suite with Sea View, right on top of the main building. The room was spacious, clean and not over-cluttered. The balcony is huge and, apart from a small table and pair of chairs is clear which my wife made extensive use of for Yoga at sunrise! The air condition worked well, even all the way at the top of the building (which is always a challenge) and the amenities are present and correct. I will warn you that the mini bar is only filled when you arrive (unless you pay for it) and you will need to collect bottled water from the bar as your passing from then on - this isn't much of an inconvenience though. Note - if your flight gets in late they'll usually leave a snack for you in the mini bar; otherwise you'll just go to the restaurant. Bars: The coffee bar open in the daytime are friendly and will generally get to know the regulars quickly enough; they make a fine cup of coffee and regularly have a selection of milk substitutes (Oat, Almond, etc) if you don't fancy dairy. If you're very lucky to hanging around at about 4pm, biscuits appear to help you make it to dinner ;). They also have a fairly wide selection of alcoholic drinks; though most are part of the premium drinks package and charged separately. That said, the included spirits are local and pretty good (particularly recommend the schnapps) and the bar staff generally know their cocktails and will whip you up something even if it's not strictly on the menu. The soft drinks are pump mixers like you would get at a pub and

Summary - This was our first time staying at the TUI BLUE Adriatic Beach and having read some recent very negative reviews about the sun lounger situation, we feared the worst. However, while not ideal, it didn’t really cause us any major issues and overall the positives more than outweighed the negatives. Positives - stunning location, fantastic sunsets, nice modern rooms (we were in superior with sea view), clean hotel, pleasant staff, good atmosphere, decent poolside and evening entertainment, desserts to die for in restaurant, swimming in the sea (crystal clear water!) Negatives - pool area a bit crowded, you have to get down before 9am if you want to grab a lounger (we typically went down about 8.45 and always got what we needed), beach is not owned by hotel so you have to pay for loungers there (€30 for two loungers and a parasol per day), premium drinks and some cocktails not included in all inclusive package, outdoor sports area looks a mess and appears unused, TUI excursions are very expensive (especially when there are four of you!), not a huge amount to do outside the hotel

This was our second visit to resort after a few years. After a 3 hour transfer in 40 degree heat with no offer of a bottle of water. We where hustled into bar area which with had dirty table and used glasses still littering the area. We filled in our registration form and was told that as restaurant had finished lunch service and that sandwiches where available. As our flight had been delayed twice would it not have been possible for restaurant to be kept open and something a bit more substantial made available. We booked a superior double room but found it hard to find anything superior about it. The furniture was worn and the decoration was tired. There is a mini fridge which had 1 bottle of water. On our previous visit the fridge would have soft drinks, beers and waters which where replenished every other day. There was also a number of spirits on a wall mounted mini bar, these had been removed. I honestly thought i had been given the wrong room. The main restaurant closes for dinner at 9 0'clock. The staff start clearing away food around 8.15 to 8.30 so you need to get in early if you want to enjoy the food. After a few days we had to get all courses in one go. The a la carte restaurant is worth a visit. The pool area is looking tired and in need of refurbishment. It is over crowded due to the issues on the beach. We did have to get up early and out if you wanted a sun lounger and umbrella. There is no drinks service around the pool and very little atmosphere, no music, limited drink options and limited snacks. The evening entertainment was disappointing, They had a movie night where they showed a movie from the 80s with some pop corn in paper cones. Limited seating on terrace. We felt you where constantly on the clock from the moment you wake up, to get a bed and something to eat. We feel the hotel is nothing like it was on our 1st visit. Service and standards at the hotel have slipped greatly. If I had look at the reviews before I had booked this trip i would not have chosen to go back to hotel. I think the management have had enough time to resolve a number of issues raised, not just by myself but previous reviews. I could not recommend this hotel very disappointing. Not worth the money at all. TUI Should start to take some notice of there clients not just look to get the most money out of them for minimal return.

So firstly I’d like to say that when I read some reviews 10 days before our departure I panicked and tried to change it but thank god I didn’t, obviously everyone is different but I can honestly say we loved it so the sunbed situation yes you have to go and put your towel on them early but apparently lots of hotels are like that, there isn’t enough for everyone but it does don’t seem to be a problem! The pool was lovely a bit cold first thing but always clean! There is a lot of steps so if you have a mobility problem this hotel isn’t for you but again we didn’t find it a challenge and there are lifts. The staff were helpful and friendly they work hard and long hours but again we don’t have any issues! The food was great we didn’t have a bad meal lots of choice and different every day, Thursday is the night and was local cuisine and for me my favourite. Activities there was always something to do, exercise classes, water polo, cocktail class, wine tasting, pizza making, paint and wine, bingo quizzes, bands, for me something for everyone. Download the tui blue app and it’s all there to book. Croatia is a beautiful country and I’ll definitely go back!

Honest factual opinion. 1. Food -every day the same, nothing traditional. Warm at its finest. Put it this qay -you had to eat not be hungry. 2. A lot of steps -from pool to rooms, from beach to rooms. To our room we had 100 steps -yes I vounted them. 3. Entertainment ,- besides live music,bingo,queez..nothing.No Croatian evenings. 4. Seating on a upper floor to listen to music - not enough spaces. If you were late you had no place to seat. Massive hotel , not enough seating. First time after being on Holiday - i have learnt nothing about Croatian food, culture. No Croatian shows, dances, music. Location is beautiful with amazing places to take pictures but everywhere is far away- to Makarska town 40km away. I will come to Croatia but not to this Hotel. I would not recommed it unless you want chill out, do nothing. Really shame because Croatia is beautiful country.

I chose this hotel for a short break on a cultural roadtrip throughout the Balkans, and it served its purpose delightfully. The hotel has a great pool, a wide beach on which you can take a pleasant walk, several different bars, and many food options on its main restaurant. Provided me with a good quality of sleep, and the swimup rooms are a great idea. I just want to give a few notes for improvement. Some food and drinks being free of charge and others paid is a bit confusing and strange. The food of the pool bar could be better and slightly more varied. Could include things as toasts and light snacks besides the few ones that they have. And finally, on our short stay, we saw the quality and variety of food declining, which makes me glad I did not stay there more than two nights.

What a brilliant hotel this is. The amenities and staff are first class. The food and choice each day is excellent. Adults only mean that you can relax and enjoy the beach or pool without the potential of being disturbed by young families. I would highly recommend this hotel for couples or grown up families for a relaxing and enjoyable break. The only downside if you like to be by the pool is you need to get there early to ‘reserve’ your beds with a towel. We’re not so no big deal for us. First class 👏🏻👏🏻

ALL INCLUSIVE: Degno di tale nome.

Fantastic food and lovely vibe. Beautiful beach metres away from the pool area. Great rooms - small but perfect for what’s needed. Only reason not giving 5/5 is because there’s a clamour for sun beds and nobody enforces the rule about not putting towels on them to reserve. Also, dining area staff constantly seem to drop cutlery as they clear tables and the noise is not conducive to a relaxing meal.
